EPISODE 5

Agent Dave walked hurriedly to the power room.
Unknowingly to the officers toiling earnestly to detect the cause of the power outage and refix it, he sneaked in and swiftly shot all of them.
Silencer was attached to the gun so it didn’t made any audible sound.
He searched the pockets of the five officers and found a walkie talkie in the pocket of one of them.

He examined it and almost drop it when it began to vibrate.

“Do you copy inspector?
Inspector Kabir do you copy?”
The voice came again from the other end but he remained quiet.
” This is ACP U’rman do you copy inspector”
!”

“I copy” he said feigning voice.
“Did you detect the cause of the outage?”
“Yes sir, we’ll soon be done with it”
” How long would it take?”
“Roughly 19 minutes or more sir ”
“Don’t you think will need an electrician?”
” Not necessary now , but we can do that tomorrow.
It wasn’t the first time we’ll be having such issue ”
” Keep me abreast ”
“Copy sir”

The conversation ended and.
He dropped the walkie talkie and walked briskly to the direction where I was kept.

“Hey! Intruders!” One of the officers shouted.
Instantly the alarm 🚨 began to blare audibly.
The officers matched tactically to their arsenal  and  began to select weapons with the aid of the touch light attached to their helmets.

“Go….go……go..”
They moved and began to search the nooks and crannies of the facility.
Dave had had footsteps approaching in his direction.
He swiftly hid behind a pillar and watched the his target as he adjusted and struggling to stand.

The doctor kept running nonstop when he heard the alarm. He knew they’ve been blown and it was the mistake of the chief ‘s men.

*Stop and lift your hands where I can see them!”

He halted immediately he heard a voice behind him.
He became idle pandering on any possible solution.

“I repeat, lift your hands where I can see them!
Don’t be smart!”
The voice came again jolted him from his idleness.

He gently lifted up his hands and was going on his knees when he heard gunshots.

“Doc are you okay?”
It was one of the chief’s men.
” I am”
He said panicky .
“I lost the rest I don’t know if we’re the only survivors now”
” Not sure. The agent would have made it there. We have to hurry”
“Lead the way”
“Yea”

They moved sneakily.
Four officers from the adjacent direction showcased and were walking hurriedly to their direction.
They silently hid behind some luggage at the passage.

“Are you armed doc?”
“Yea, I got a revolver”
He brought out a silencer handed it over to the doc and signaled him to attach it to his firearm.
He did it in jiffy while he did his.
Simultaneously, they both stood up and gunned down the police.
The doctor shot inexpertly as he positioned his gun and shot sporadically.

” Man you get to aim”
He nodded in affirmation and they kept walking.
They both carried the dead officers automatic machine guns and kept going.

Agent Dave watched closely from his position.
Five armed men were keenly searching the area.
He knew sooner or later, he would be found if he did nothing.
He brought out a curly device with a thread on it .
He lit the thread and hurriedly covered his face with handkerchief as he threw the device to the officers.
Smoke was emitting from the device and it began to suffocate them as they coughed nonstop untill they black out .

He had to wait in his position until the smoke vanished.

The subject had woken when he had footsteps, but blackout when he inhaled the gas emitting from the curly device.

Gunshots filled the air in the facilities as the police and chief fired eachother.
Sergeant Kalu walked briskly with his AK-47 hung to his neck.
He detached a walkie talkie from a dead officers uniform and swiftly radioed Abuja.
“This is Agent Kalu from Enugu, do you copy?
Did anyone copy?……”
“Situation report”
The voice came uneasily from the other end.
“We got intruders and many of  our men  are down”
“We’ve sent back up already. They’ll arrive in jiffy ”
“Ok sir”
“Sergeant Kalu can you put on the camera ”
“No sir, we have power outage ”
“Dammi!
Just go to the control room use XX4521 the emergency password to access the room.
Use NPF332YS to access the master system and……”
“I’m sorry sir. I’m just a mobile police. I have no Idea on how this works.
I may complicate things sir”
“It’s okay. Keep yourself safe”
“Copy that “

The telephone ended.
“He’s Sergeant Kalu Adamu from Kano State.
30 years, joined the police 7 years ago……”

The inspector shunned!

The doc and the man with him were having upper hands on the police.
They found two of their men gunned down and later found Killer bean wounded in his left leg.

“Hey guy you’re alive?”
“You?”
“It’s crazy  I thought you’re all gone”
“As you can see I’m not”
“Lemme give you hand buddy”

He stretched forth his hand to him.
He held in to it and stood up, but got shot from behind.
“Take cover! he shouted to the doc while he yielded promptly.
He used Killers bean’s body to defend the flying bullets as he shot back.

The officers positioned themselves tactically and kept shooting.
They just arrived from Abuja through a chopper..

They looked fully armed.
One of them tactically moved back and radioed the headquarters.
“It’s agent Seun, do you copy?”
“Copied. Situation report ”
“The facility is messed up and we’re in gun battle with them now”
“Connect your cameras”
“Copied that “

The conversation ended.
He signalled others to connect their camera which they did.

Agent Dave gently turned the knob and entered.
He had someone entering the room.
He positioned himself and hammered his gun.
He walked gently with the aid of touchlights in his hand.

“I know you’re here 😄
Come out we can settle this friendly ”
“Friendly?
You’re a rotten jerk!
No friendship between a cop and a damn criminal ”
” You got the wrong notion about me….”
Sergeant Kalu shot at his direction, but he was fortunate as the bullets flew over him.
He swiftly squatted and shot back at him.
They kept shooting at each other until they were out of bullets.
Agent Dave untucked the magazine and brought out the cartridge, fixed another one and peeped to get a clear shot of him.
He heard Kalu’s gun clinking knowingly he was doing the same.

“You know you can just go out if this room and escape ”
“Shut your f**k up!
My pledge isn’t to run for a damn criminal ”
“And that’s why I didn’t find it pleasurable killing you Cox you’re a just cop”
“What are you insinuating because you’ll be dead shortly now”
He said and began to sh00t at him again.
A bullet slightly hit him living a scratch in his right arm.

“Dammit!” he cursed an began to fire back.
Shortly they’re both out of bullets.

“I ain’t a criminal, I’m on a mission”
” I don’t give damn for that!”
He retorted.
They both hid behind a pillar and panting heavily as they talked.
“You got to believe me man”
” Stop your scum of sh*t! Your aiders are out there ”
“You get to believe me I came here alone ”
He lied.
He knew he was lying but it was worthy.
He actually came alone except the doctor that was with him.
He was damn perplexed who could the other intruders be.

“Since we’re both out, let’s use fist”
“That’s a better idea”

They both threw their guns away and began to fight.

He sent a solid punch to agent Dave’s face, but he was very fast to duck it.
He hit him injuriously in the abdomen with his fist while he staggered back.

He groaned and adjusted himself.
He quickly dodged a flying blow and gave him uppercut which sent him flatly in the floor.
Dave jumped on him and pined him neck down.
He held Dave’s hand and struggled to let go of himself, but Dave was too strong.

Shortly, he blackout.
Dave left since it wasn’t his intention to ki*ll him.

He stoop up and staggered to the door.
He opened it and looked in awe as the doc and a strange man pointe d their gun at him…

“Stop!”……
