Isaac had successfully put Esther to sleep and returned to the master bedroom to meet Anna.

They were talking about something Esther did that was really funny when a call came in on Isaac’s phone.

It was Deji.

He told Isaac to come over that night as there was something very important he needed to with him.

“ Don’t stay up waiting for me okay?” He told Anna before kissing her.

Isaac reached Deji’s place to meet Amanda and Deji sitting in the living room. The look they had on made him realize all was not well.

Deji insisted that his wife went to bed while he spoke with Isaac.

Amanda reluctantly agreed.

“ Deji, what’s going on?” Isaac faced him with all seriousness.

“ There was a break-in.”

“ What? When?”

“ Few minutes ago and Amanda is pretty shaken from it.”

“ Didn’t your alarm go off?”

“ See, that’s the thing, the alarm never went off. The only thing Amanda saw was a person in some kind of black suit with face masked up.”

“ But entry from absurd place would sound the alarm.”

“ Unless whoever entered has the spares.”

“ Only Bidemi and I have the keys to your house. You don’t think it’s Bidemi, do you?”

“ I did call, he told me his spares were never missing. Isaac that’s not all, our safe was tempered with.”

“ Your saving.”

“ No, my will.”

Deji handed the envelope on the table to Isaac, telling him to keep it for him.

“ I don’t know if they’ll be back. I’ll try getting fake paperwork, immediately, you should do the same.”

Isaac and Deji talked about the incident and Isaac concluded to also get fake paperwork.

“ If my house could be invaded without trace, then yours could definitely be invaded.”

Isaac had to promise Deji, Anna would know nothing about  what happened. It was late and Amanda insisted he spent the night.

The following morning came quickly and the two friend set off to their various destinations. Deji left to get himself fake papers while Isaac returned home. He, later, left to get his will and documents to his properties from his lawyer and replaced it with the fake ones.

Anna asked what the matter was when he got home but he dismissed the issue telling her it was work. He had to leave to work late and it had been hectic.

The death of Deji came as a huge shock to the couple and the worse was being accused of it. For some reason Isaac wasn’t shocked but he was hurt. He hadn’t expected it to result to murder.

Things became worse for him as even his son didn’t want to look at him. He longed for his family but was deprived of these requests.

“ I know I can trust you to help me Dora. Help my family. They are going to hurt them.”

“ I can assure you they nothing is going to happen to them.”

“ Can I ask a favour? There’s something I need to let Sola know can you help me give it to him?”

“ Sure.”

“ I also need you to go to my house. There’s a safe underneath the supposed bottom.” He whispered. “. 1454, that’s the combination. I need you to keep it for me until everything is…okay. Please, Dora.”

“ I will.”

“ When you get back, I have something important to tell you.”

Isaac was waiting for Dora to get back, hoping, with all his heart, that everything he did his family would one day know he did it all for them.
