Chapter 7

🌅 MORNING,LEE villa 🏢

Aurora walked slowly to Bryan who was still asleep on the bed. She carefully sat on the bed so as not to wake him up, she stretched her hands trying to collect his laptop which he hugged while sleeping.

She finally got her hands on it and tried to pull it from him as gently as she could but his eyes flew open making her totally shocked

“So what is this?” He asked giving her death glares

“I…I…I just emmm” she stuttered trying to think of a lie

“You just?”he asked looking suspiciously at her. Her palm began shaking as her head was very empty and can’t think of a lie… suddenly,it clicked and she smiled

“Good morning honey”she said as she placed a shocking and unexpected kiss on his lips

“Hmmm…I came to wake you since you’re still sleeping at this time”she pointed at the clock, it’s 4:30am

“Yeah i need to prepare… but that doesn’t explain why you entered my room and was trying to get my laptop”he said making aurora smile

“You know…I wanted us to both go wake hiah together. You know she’s always seen our fights, hatred and arguments…so I was thinking,let she also see our love, care and affection towards each other. Let’s make her feel complete for once.”she explained trying to look very convincing, Bryan looked at her for a while trying to see if she’s really changed… the look on her face was very sincere to him

“Please…”

“Ok… let’s go”he came down from the bed and they both walked to hiah’s room. On getting there, they saw her awake… she was actually crying

“Baby what is it?” Aurora ran to her trying to act caring. Bryan also ran to sit beside her.

“Sweetie…talk to us”Bryan pleaded

“I had a bad dream…”she cried even more

“What…” Aurora asked calmly

 

“A man shot you on your head and you started bleeding nonstop”hiah explained hugging aurora tightly. Tho she was expecting her mom to push her away like she’s always done but instead, aurora hugged her too.

“Don’t worry baby… momma is fine, it’s just a dream. See momma has no bullet wound and she’s not bleeding either so stop crying”aurora said…all the while, Bryan was dumbfounded,he was surprised at the way aurora tackled their daughter so well

“Momma loves you”aurora said and hiah looked at her maybe with surprise

“What?”aurora asked

“You’ve never told me that before” hiah said

“But am saying it now… momma has changed, she’s ready to be your loving and caring momma”she said

“Does that mean you and poppa won’t fight anymore?”

“Sure…no more fight hiah”Bryan said

“So we’ll live peacefully…wow! I love it. I love you both so very much”hiah said excitedly… she’s happy her long time wish for a peaceful family is now coming to reality.

“We love you more baby”they did a family hug with her in the middle.

During breakfast, aurora kept serving everyone with a big smile on her face. Hiah also couldn’t stop smiling and that includes Mr Lee. He heard about aurora’s decision to change and he was extremely happy about it.

Vera walked into the dinning room and was shocked to see aurora serving

“Why’s she serving breakfast? Are the maids now on holidays?” She asked

“Well eomma (mother) I decided to cook today. Come on over let’s eat”aurora smiled

“Not even in my next life” vera said and angrily went to the kitchen. She ordered the maids to prepare kimchi fried rice for her. She came face to face with aurora as she (vera) wanted to leave the kitchen.

They stared at each other hatefully for a while

“What are you up to aurora?” Vera asked.

“Why are you always negative about people and things? I’ve changed isn’t it obvious and every other person is ok with that except you” aurora said and vera giggled

“Change you say? There’s no change for people like you…a leopard would always remain a leopard”vera said

“And that leopard would be the one to destroy you and your family” aurora smiled devilishly

“Don’t try anything funny”

“You know me too well, i’ll always try” she smiled and left.

 

🏩 Margaux kiddies school 🏩

Aurora drove Hiah to school herself for the first time and hiah won’t stop smiling

“Why don’t we go in together,so i can formally get to know your teacher” aurora said and hiah nodded. They both came down from the car and almost immediately, another car parked beside theirs. Rosella came down from the passenger side and ligaya came out from the driver’s side.

“Hey rose” hiah called and rushed to hug rosella

“How’s your wrist? Does it still hurt?”she asked

“Just a little” rosella answered with a smile

“Am sorry about that…we can still be friends right?”hiah asked

“Why not…”rose hugged her lightly as they both chuckle

“Meet my mom Mrs aurora lee…mom meet my friend rosella and her mother Mrs ligaya Choi” hiah introduced

“Wow please to meet you rose… please to meet you too ligaya” aurora smiled stretching out her hand. Ligaya took her hand and smiled

“I wish i can say same”ligaya whispered to only aurora’s hearing

“Ok baby let’s go inside so I can see your teacher” aurora said and hiah smiled at rose

“We’ll meet in class…” Hiah smiled and left with her mom.

“Ok mom are we going in together?” Rose asked and ligaya nodded…

“Let’s go sweetie” she led rose inside.

Few minutes later

Ligaya was about to enter her car when aurora’s voice came

“She’s just adopted right? Your daughter with Bryan died in that bomb blast at the slum right?” She asked making ligaya Stand still

“Don’t tell me you have a hand in it” ligaya said trying to hold back her tears as the memory of how the doctor told her that everyone at the slum where the blast took place died. She remembered seeing her child’s burnt body that day and how painful it was for her.

“What if I say yes…”aurora was visited with a slap on her face. For the first 3 minutes, she tried as much as possible to see but everywhere was dark

“How are you? You’re nothing but a devil” ligaya pulled aurora’s hair angrily.

“Stop get your filthy hands off my hair” she tried to break free but ligaya Heidi her hair tightly. The security men in sight rushed to separate them and by the time they were separated, aurora eyed ligaya bitterly

“Vera helped me out too”aurora smiledl

“I’ll destroy all of you… it’s a promise”ligaya said and entered her car. She drove out angrily trying to control her tears.

“Baby they’ll all pay for what they did to us…I promise you” ligaya cried.
