Chapter 56

Aiden’s POV

“Hey….why is your eyes puffy, don’t tell me you were crying, what happened, did he hurt you” I asked. She only shook her head.

“Are you sure about that, then why the tears” I pestered

“Can…can we leave here, perhaps we go to somewhere private and talk” She stated. I nodded and led the way. I was still boiling with anger seeing Axel holding her that way; I shouldn’t have felt that way, but I can’t say what’s wrong. After game that took place that night, getting Axel angry, we haven’t sort time to talk things through. I know Axel wasn’t angry with me, he wouldn’t, it’s not like I’m the one that asked Flora to love me, but my guilty conscience won’t let me be. No one knows about the thing I had with Flora that same day, and me not responding to what she said that day might make him think otherwise.

I couldn’t look at his face, my mind was judging me; if I hadn’t had anything with her, it would have been better, but it wasn’t my wish to have s*x with her, it’s still not clear why I did it though. I decided to come see him after today’s audition and sort things out. Being that he loves coming to the studio, I made it my first choice to come check here, not expecting to see anyone but him. I was shocked to see Ariel; she will be the last person to be seen here with him. But what exactly was she doing her, and why was he hugging her.

Is he trying to get back at me by winning my girl over with his charms, or what? I know it will be hard to tell him about what mistakenly went on with I and Flora, Axel won’t take it with levity because he still loves that girl. He might think I was cheating with girl all along; Flora confirming that she likes me will only buttress his point. Axel can be hot tempered most time, and his anger isn’t good one bit, I will just let it pass since no one knows about it, but won’t take it lightly with him if he does anything with Ariel.

“So, we are here now, is there anything you want me to know” I asked her. We are actually in my lounge; she sniffed in, taking a seat on the couch while I sat beside her.

“Do you want a drink?”

“No…I’m ok” She stated, I nodded

“It’s about Mia”

“What happened to Mia?” I asked, puzzled

“She isn’t talking to me again, and it’s because of you” She broke into tears again.

“Hey…it’s ok” I cooed. I remembered the scene of Mia barging into this apartment some days ago, she ran out immediately with Ariel running after her, were they having a fight? I thought within. She cleaned her tears and sniffed in

“B..But why”

“She loves you, she loves you so much that it broke her heart the day she caught us k**sing. I made her believe that I had nothing with you, I’m such a fool, I just don’t know what I was doing then. I feel like an idiot right now. Mia has loved you even before I got to know her, before we became friends. She told me she has a crush on you when I asked her about her boyfriend, which she state she has none, but wants you to be hers.”

I stayed silent and listened to all she was saying, before speaking up

“I know she has something for me”

“You knew”

“I just notice it somehow, you know, once a girl have a crush on me, there are some actions she will display that will make me know. I tried making her believe I love you, and stay away, but I think she didn’t take that in. I told her indirectly though.”

“You…you love me” She asked, her mouth open

“Yes Ariel” I stated, moving closer to her, picking up her hand and staring straightly into her eyes

“I will deal with this matter properly; I will speak with Mia okay, try to stay happy; I don’t like seeing you this way. You both will come back being friends again, trust me, but what I want you to know is that my heart beats for you. You know, right from the first day I saw you on the road and took you home, you captured my heart. My advances towards you should have made you know. I shouldn’t be saying his to you now; I should have waited till after the contest, but since it decide to be this way, then it’s not bad for you to know now. But my only desire is for you to love me back” I stated, caressing her cheek

“Oh….” She whimpered, turning her gaze away from me. I noticed her uneasy look and movement

“Hey, I’m not expecting you to tell me how you feel about me now, just want you to know about my feelings for you. So don’t feel bad for whatever you feel for me, I will just let her know that my hearts beat for no one else, not even her, except you Ariel”

Ariel’s POV

I stared at him as he speaks his mind out, I knew he likes me, but confessing his love now is making me feel bad, because I can’t say if I still feel for him. What if he ask me to be his girlfriend, what am I gonna tell him. Should I accept him or not? If he had said this when I was still having this feelings, it might have been a different case, I might not have had this rift with Mia, I would have accepted without thinking it through. I heave a sigh and looked at him

“I…I don’t know what to say” I noted. He smiled and squeezed my hand

“It’s ok, are you happy now, come on smile for me, I don’t wanna see that tears” I faked a smile just to keep him from being worried. He might thought he had solved my problem, but he just added to it by confessing his love, I will start having sleepless night, trying to choose between him and his brother.

“I think I deserve a hug”

“O..okay” He pulled me closer, embracing me into his warm body. I would have felt the usual spark when we hug, but I feel none. I think my puzzle has been solved.

~The Next Day~

“Mia, come on open up” Jack bang on the door to her lounge

“Get the f**k out of there, can’t you understand simple instruction” Mia yelled from behind. Her heart beating hard behind her chest

“Please Mia, I really need to speak to you, I won’t take your time, trust me”

She reluctantly went to open it, if she doesn’t he will still continue to pester her.

“What do you want” She huff. He sighed going in fully before shutting the door behind

“You…I want you” He cooed. She scoffs

“What the f**k, are you crazy….get out of here if you have nothing important to say” She yelled, he grabs her hand with force, dragging her closer to him

“What are you doing Jack, I’m gonna scream my a$$ out if you do something stupid” She threatened. He scoffs

“Seriously, never knew you could be this way. You even turn your friend out not giving her a listening ear, what sort of friend are you? Even if you both had a fight, why can’t you try sorting it out. Ariel is really sad but you ain’t ready to settle your differences”

“Don’t chip into our matter, you know nothing about it” She snapped

“Really”

“Yea…I don’t care about it” She broke into tears, she knew she was being harsh to Ariel, but she just don’t wanna feel more hurt hearing what Ariel has to say. What if she had decided to date Aiden and just wanna settle things with her, she will lose and the pain will be unbearable. Right now, she wants to be alone and clear her head, perhaps she will be able to handle any heart break after the contest, she doesn’t want what happened during her performance to repeat itself. She flopped a bit but tried to control it; she is an emotional person and things like this get to her easily

“So you don’t care about me too Mia?”

“Geez jack, what’s all this, what do you want from me?” She yelled

“I want you Mia, I want you in my life, how many times am I gonna say that. You wanna know that truth, huhnn. I started loving you since high school; I just couldn’t let you know because of my pride, that was why I derive joy in taunting you. I just wanna be with you all the time, I felt bad when we couldn’t see anymore.

Don’t you think it was actually fate that brought us together; I wouldn’t have believed that I will meet you here. I can’t express how I feel about you now Mia, but I know that what I feel is love” he spoke with love in his eyes. She stared at him uneasily, she knows he isn’t lying; jack won’t lie with this look on. He seems serious with what he is saying, but the fact that he was a playboy during high school is the reason why she doesn’t wanna give him the chance. He might decide to change along the way

“Mia”

“We could work this out…I know you feel nothing for me now, but, you can…you surely can. I will make you love me”

“No you can’t Jack…you can’t”

“Why”

“Because I hate you, I don’t like you one bit, how do you expect hate to become love” She grimace. He gulps down his saliva, he wasn’t expecting the hate word from her, and it hurt like hell to hear such word from someone you love.

“Ok…I’m sorry for bothering you with my love issues” he chuckled sadly, cleaning the strand of tear that was about dropping from his eyes.

“I shouldn’t have even bothered you, just wanted you to know how I feel” he stated and tried walking to the door, but stop. He turned to look at her. She felt a bit sober, ashamed of what she said, but wouldn’t wanna admit it, how she wish she could tell him that she doesn’t mean it.

“I don’t know why I’m feeling this way, but I think there is something I will like to do before leaving you finally. I promise you Mia, I will try my possible best to stop loving you, it’s better than hurting myself, loving someone that doesn’t care one bit about me” he smiled out tears. She sniffed in, trying to stop the running tears that were coming down her cheeks

“No…” she muttered inwardly. He is now thinking bad about her, she isn’t what he thinks she is, she is also battling heartbreak, it’s won’t be easy for her to love someone else easily, especially him. How she wish he could understand, how she wish she could let go of her feelings for Aiden and stay free.

“I’m sorry if you are gonna hate me more after this, but I’m gonna do it after all” He walked closer to her, dragging her by the hand. She tried losing her grip but it was fruitless

“Jack!! What are you doing!!!” She yelled hitting his chest. Her heart began to beat faster than normal, she knew what he was about doing, and will be against her wish

“Doing what I should have done back then in High school, what I should have done a long time ago”

“What….” Before she could speak, he pulled her chin up, holding her firmly as he slammed his lips on hers. She tried pulling away but couldn’t, after much struggle; she went with the rhythm, reciprocating at the same pace. He k**sed her with passion, having it in mind that it might be the first and last k**s he will be having with her. She succeeded in pushing him away after coming back to her senses

“Get off me….” She yelled at him. He smiled

“I’m sorry” he mouthed

“Just get out”

He went for the door, giving her a last glance before leaving the room

“Oh God, what have I done” She cried, slumping on the bed, while holding her chest. It was still beating fast.

“No no…I can’t be feeling for him too” She disagreed

“But you k**sed him back, and enjoyed it” He subconscious noted. She pouted
