Until death – chapter 19

Until Death, chapter 19

The theme: the processor

After plummeting for what seemed like perpetuity, I finally felt my back splashing against the water. The liquid moisture gushed throughout my mouth and nose altogether. Gathering all the stability left, I managed to drag my body to the surface of the water, my breathing coming hard and roughly.

Just when my body was calming down, the massive creature emerged from the depths of the canyon. Its huge multicoloured tentacles were flapping in the water. The tentacles had rough hierarchies like fish fins, and the tentacles had a sharp end like that of a spike. The creature had deep yellow eyes, like an Alpha vampire, and sharp razor teeth that lined up in his mouth. The creature opened its mouth wide, and I was scared to the bone, like a chicken that got beaten by the rain, thinking the idiot wanted to swallow me. However, it let out a roar that echoed throughout the entire canyon depth, and I was sure that it would reach General Zod and the evil man.

With supernatural speed, the creature lunged at me. This time it opened its mouth, which displayed all the dangerous spikes it was calling teeth and attempted to swallow me. Moving on instinct, I swashed aside, which allowed me to narrowly escape the attack. The creature spun back in the same motion, then flung its huge, enormous, gigantic body at me in an attempt to lower my body into the water. I don’t know how it happened, but I saw it coming in slow motion. It was like I had frozen time. At the last second, I hopped high.

which makes me escape from the wide creature that attacked me.

The beast roared out in fury and slapped me with one of its tentacles. The attack caught me unaware, the force so strong that it slammed my back against the canyon boulder. I felt a massive pain surge through my backbone as they collided with the stones, and I could feel the wall-shaking due to the impact. As I hit the water back, my body splashed up water in the process. I quickly regained my stance, breathing hard to calm my nerves, then watching the beast out of the corner of my eyes. Surprisingly, it was nowhere to be found again.

After I had calmed and relaxed my body, I let my ears detect any strange sounds, just as they had done on the arena ground. Not long after, I started hearing the bubbling of water from underneath. I know I should be afraid and find a way out of this hell hole. But I stood my ground instead. I know that running away wouldn’t do anything, and besides, I can’t get halfway before this beast swaps me down with his tentacles again. With a loud shrieking noise, the beast emerged from the water again, this time aiming for my throat, ready to plunge his spike teeth into them.

I don’t know what came over me, but I felt something from within. I felt a sudden burst of energy surging through my veins. A memory of a man crossing his hands together in an X sign flashes in my head. Without waiting further, I copied the same things and the unexpected happened. As my hands met together in an X sign, a strange force burst out of my hand and hit the beast away. The force pushed it backwards, slamming its scales onto the canyon rock.

Letting out a furious cry, the enraged best directed two of its tentacles at me at once. Following my instincts, and copulating with all the hard training I had been through, I dodged the two tentacles, and they hit the rock behind me in the process, while the force drilled a hole into the canyon rock. Faster than the speed of light, the beast directed four more tentacles at me, and I was left with no choice but to begin a hide and seek game.

I stepped aside to avoid one, then quickly bent down with my head going down into the dirty water just to evade another tentacle. I leapt out of the water and walked on the canyon rock so I could avoid the remaining two tentacles.

The beast shrieked in rage again and its eyes grew redder with each passing moment. Then it lunged at me again. This time it was coming with full force, and I could see the urge to crush me in his eyes.

Instead of staying inside the water or running away like a coward, I leapt out to meet it. Then I crossed my hand mid-air in the same X sign, this time in a more vicious way, and a huge amount of force threw the beast away. Still, in the same X-signed, I acted on instinct and raised my hand, watching in amazement as the beast started levitating in the air. It starts with ten feet, then twenty, and eventually reaches a hundred feet in the air. Still, I didn’t release it. I moved my hand to the left, then to the right, and the force slammed the beast left and right.

Still, I haven’t released it yet. I moved my hand to the left and right again, but now in a faster way. The force slammed him right and left against the hard rock of the canyon, which shook him in the process. After I was satisfied with my actions, I finally lowered my hand, then raised it again and threw the beast away, then released my hand. The force threw the beast up and threw him out of the canyon rock. Even from the chasms and despite how deep the canyon is, I can feel and hear the hard crashing of the beast and the loud gasp that escapes from its mouth.

I sigh in relief, and another painful memory flashes in my brain. This time I saw an old man. He was dressed in a park ranger suit with a white tie. He had a grey aura, a moustache, and deep green eyes. He was standing beside a riverbank, controlling the water. I closed my eyes as the short memory stopped playing in my head. Then I raised my left leg and slammed it into the water. A loud rumbling echoed throughout the canyon depths, and before I could blink, I saw a strange force propelling me out of the water, and I found myself going out of the canyon chasm.

With a loud thud, I landed on top of the canyon and my eyes met with those of General Zod, Esther, and the veils’ eyes. I can see the shock and surprise in their eyes. “Are you surprised to see me?” I said with a smirk. “Or you don’t miss me, sweetheart?” I said while winking at Esther. Due to the way she was standing, I am sure she is still suffering from the pain inflicted on her.

“Prepare yourself,” General Zod yelled in anger, and I can see that his body has started transforming. “If we don’t have the nectar, then no one else will.” He said, then slammed his feet on the canyon stone. I watched in amazement as a black flame emitted from his body, and his hair grew longer.

“And what about if I shocked you with the nectar’s location?” I said, trying to tease him more. “The nectar is in a safe hand, and none of you will ever find it.” I snapped at him.

Finally, his body completes the transformation. Standing in front of me is no longer General Zod, but an upgraded version. It was a man with deep black eyes and an expanded chest muscle. All his clothes were ripped off due to the way his muscles were enlarging while metal was sewn all over his body like clothes or armour. His hands have now turned black, and I can guess that it was a poison that I must avoid.

With super speed, he charged at me, a guttural cry escaping from his lips. He slashed at me with his fingernail, which had now transformed into a long black poisonous claw, and I narrowly ducked in time. He spun back again and gashed at me. This time he was aiming for my throat in an attempt to grab it with his claw, and I quickly blocked it with my palm. He retreated his hand, doubled his attack, and slashed at me, this time with more ferocious speed while he was twisting his claw viciously, using it to aim for different angles.

He was fast, I admit it. But it was like I was faster. I don’t know how it happened, but I was able to counter all his attacks. This enraged him and made him tap into his dark magic. He blended with the wind, and before I could blink, he appeared in front of me, his claw aiming for my right eye, and I barely ducked out of the way. Nonetheless, his claws scratched my cheekbone, and I felt a great burn in the wound. It was like hot charcoal was placed on my cheeks.

He blended with the air again, and this time his claw slashed me in the back, and I screamed in pain. I launched a punch at him, but it was a weak one and too slow. He grabbed my hand, twisted it, and punctured me with his black poisonous claw. I felt the poison running from my arm towards my entire body’s veins, then going through my heart. I knew the poison was quickly circulating through my blood, and I knew I could die in a foreign land at any time.

Using the last strength in me, I weakly raised my second hand and used it to hit him in the throat. I watched as he gasped for breath, followed by his grip, which slowly released on my hand. I attempted to kick him in the manhood without wasting another second, but he saw it coming and grabbed my leg, flinging me away. I was still in mid-air, the pain coursing through my body when I noticed him approaching at full speed.

He grabbed me in the air, then used my leg to drag me down, which made me hit my back on the canyon rock that we were standing on. With a loud thud, my back hit the solid rock, which sent another pain through my body. It was like all the bones in my body were breaking into pieces. Out of the corner of my eyes, I watched as he leapt high, then came down, deflecting the law of gravity with his leg, aiming straight for my head and throat altogether.

I knew the attack was a fatal blow that I might not survive, but I was helpless and hopeless. I wish the strange power would just surge through my body again so I could roll out of the way. Nonetheless, I couldn’t do anything but watch and wait for a survival miracle to occur. It remains a few inches for General Zod to hit me with his deadly attack when the unexpected occurs. I watched in amazement as a magnetic field protected me, followed by a loud gasp that escaped from his mouth. Not only with him, but with the rest of those evil villains.

Then I felt a hand grab me from the floor where I was lying helplessly. It yanked me up. As soon as I stood on my leg, I turned around, my eyes wandering around the strange being that just saved my life. It was a female being with a completely black outfit. She had a holster behind her waist that I guess contained a gun and hand gloves. She was wearing long trousers and a short military singlet which exposed her waist.

I was so lost in staring at her pink lips, her soft glowing skin, and the tattoo that she had drawn on her arm that I didn’t even remember anything about General Zod and his team until their loud gasps brought me back to reality.

“You are not welcome here, processor.” The veiled man said something, and I swear I heard the panic in his voice.

“The processor!!!” Esther and General Zod exclaimed at the same time, followed by a scared look that crossed their faces. Not only that, but I also noticed that the three beings were moving back.

“Is that how you welcome an old friend?” The so-called processor said, with a calm and melodious voice. However, I could still see the dangerous smile that formed on the corner of her lips.
