El Antiguo Guerrero – chapter 20

Chapter 20

“So, you are an elementary wolf all this while.” Ariel asked in shock. “Can’t believe you hide this and pretend to be a coward despite your nearly dead experience.”

“You know the danger of transforming anyhow,” Alpha Thane replied. “That is why I decided to keep it a secret until the right time.”

“Which I guess is now,” Jack butted in.

“In your rearview mirror, Jake screams at them. They quickly spun and evaded a war hammer that was aimed for their heads.

“I got this,” Alpha Thane elucidated and directed a huge rock at the commander. The latter was quick to shield his face with his war axe, but Alpha Thane followed with a punch in the face which he was slow to dodge. He watch in proud as the commander split out blood and his rage multiply;

“Exactly what I wanted,” Alpha Thane mumbled inaudibly. “Make your enemy furious so they could charge with rage and make mistakes which you will turn into your own advantage.” He stepped aside as the commander brought his hammer down for his head. The commander attacks Alpha thane with a ferocious force that leaves Alpha thane no choice than to block and retreat slowly due to the force and power that he wields. Alpha Thane conjures a huge fire and blasts the commander, while the latter lets out a loud painful scream as the fire burns his flesh.

“You stand no choice against an ancient elemental wolf,” Alpha Thane bellowed in a cold voice and created a whirlwind which circled around the commander. Searching deep inside him, he tapped into his rock and fire element and added them to the whirlwind. Not long, the commander started deflecting the force of gravity; he let out a painful growl as the rock and fire started consuming his body.

Alpha Thane begins to sweat profusely due to the power he is using in fighting the commander, but he couldn’t give; not when this is just the beginning of the battle. Alpha Thane knew it was because of the fact that he hadn’t used his power in a long period of time. But, that wouldn’t stop him from Killing the commander, after that, maybe he would challenge the king himself.

“I eliminated you from the land of the living being,” Alpha Thane shouted in rage. “May no one remember your name again.” With that, he doubled the force of the whirlwind and he watched in satisfaction as they consumed the commander. Alpha Thane levitated slowly and floated towards the direction of king Cassius. “You are next,” he bellowed.

“I have been searching for the last ancient elemental wolf for a long period of time,” King Cassius elucidated. He also levitated up slowly from his throne and floated towards Alpha Thane who didn’t show any sign of fear. “You know, after Thanatos escaped with the help of virgo; he knew the force of the supernatural might come against him so he started consuming the soul of your elementary wolf to become unstoppable.”

“I will make you all pay,” Alpha Thane replied with gritted teeth. “For wiping my family from existence and causing me so much pain.”

“I would love to see you try,” King Cassius elucidated with a smirk. “Your species is important to us, that is part of why we also had your picture drawn in our treasure room.”

“Enough of the chit-chat,” another voice butted in their conversation. The duo look back and they could see Jake in his Hyperion form moving towards them. “I will surely show you the wrath of a Hyperion.”

“How did you Little kid expect to defeat a thousand years old giant like me?” King Cassius uttered with pride in his tone, “I have fought and killed more dangerous and powerful beings than you can ever imagine.”

“Whether we can defeat you or not, we shall see.” Alpha Thane bellowed.

“Let dance kid,” King Cassius elucidated with a smirk and charge toward the duo. “Your power shall sustain me much more.”

“Hyperion’s blood and power are toxic to their enemy.” Jake replied.

Alpha Thane shouted and blasted the king with a huge amount of fire. “Elemental wolves will either have their power diminished instead of letting a pest like you suck it up.”

“Go for the bull and let me handle this nitwit,” Jack mumbles to Ariel, without waiting for her opinion. He charged towards Oreion, faster than the giant could see. Jack circled around him, forming a tornado with his speed, and thrust his hand into the giant’s back. He smirked evilly as he felt his hand Pierce his back bone and went straight for his heart. But to his utmost surprise, the giant grabs him with inhuman strength and fling him away.

Jake landed on one of the hard rocks that was conjured by Alpha thane earlier and he could feel his bone cracking. The giant sped towards him and aimed for his head with his scythe. But Jack quickly rolls away and kicks Oreion in the stomach, the giant grabs his leg and uses it to smash the ground thrice before tossing him away again as if he weighs nothing. Jack could feel his eyes getting blurry as he struggled to breath. Many painful memories came rushing down in his head, and he let out a loud roaring that bloom throughout the whole arena. It was like a Phoenix scream as it carried super strength that flung all the onlookers into different directions, while everybody ran helther-sketcher for his or her own life.

“It’s time to come home, son.” Jack could hear the voice of his ancestor in his head. “You have done well by saving the people and protecting the blue-eye name. Now come back home and rest.”

“Not now,” Jack screamed back in his mind. “Not until I showed this as***ole the power of a blue eye warrior.” Jack could feel himself coughing out blood and he staggered towards Orieon who stood with a triumphant grin.

“I have never been defeated before,” Orieon stated proudly. “And someone like you can not defeat me.”

“Maybe, I will make a difference,” Jack managed to reply. Even though his head was spinning badly and he could feel his intestine burning hard, he wouldn’t give up. “The blue mercenary has never run away from their fight, and I would not be the first.”

“You are requesting a dangerous war, kid.” Oreion taunt. “Lower your guard and let me give you a peaceful death, just like I did to your father.”

Jack could feel the anger and pain burning in his veins at the same time. The mentioning of his father’s name brought sad and painful memories to his head again as they kept rushing in.

“Father, I will make sure to avenge.” He could remember his last promise to his father before he gave up the ghost. But is this how he was going to fail? Nope, he can’t allow that. Jack shook his head and took another step closer to Oreion.

“Did you know why the king cherished me so much?” Orieon asked Jack to move closer to meet him. “Because I have achieved many things that no one has ever done, even what King Cassius himself could never dream of achieving.”

“Keep your achievement to yourself and duel me like a man.” Jack bellowed. “Shadow killer.” He screams and charges toward Oreion with determination, fury, anger, and one aim; to avenge the death of the blue eye mercenary from the bas***d that causes them pain. He was tired of hiding his identity, he was tired of pretending to be minor being Infront of his family’s murder, he had caused them enough pain. He could remember when they first entered Mordor and met with Orieon.

Fear had crept into his heart at the mere sight of him, that is why he had to try so much and hide his scent; Maybe that was enough. Jack took a quick glance towards Ariel’s direction, and he could see that she had already killed one of the bulls and was absorbing the life of the second bull. A smile crept into his face, he will surely miss them. A loud clash was heard as Orieon and Jack collided with unimaginable speed, strength and power. Their power and deadly aura radiating around the whole arena and some of the unlucky giants went dry instantly. Lying on the floor his Oreion, his chest was wide open and blood gushing out.

Beside him stood Jack, he looked really battered and wounded. “So, I am still alive.” He mumbled to himself with a smile. Out of the corner of his eyes, Jack could see Ariel running towards him with fright in her eyes. Jack let out a small chuckle as he felt himself going unconscious. He had done it, he had killed the blue eye mercenary’s worst nightmare.

“You are the best and last of our kind,” he could remember his father’s words in his brain again, That was when he just finished his training. “you have managed to achieve what none of the blue mercenaries have ever achieved. You are the last of our kind and if you died without killing the blue-eyed enemy, then no one can ki*ll him.”

A tear slipped out of his eyes as the painful memory came again. He felt a hand touching him and he opened his hand slightly to see Ariel with tears streaming out of her eyes. She could see her mouth open slightly as if trying to communicate to him, but he couldn’t hear what she was saying. His eyes were getting darker when he saw Orieon aiming for Ariel’s head with a general Rai war hammer. He couldn’t let that happen, he was there when his father was killed, and he couldn’t do anything to protect him. Now one of his best friend he’s about to be killed again, right in front of him.

No, not in his own very eyes, knowing fully well that he had no strength left in him. Another word of his father crept into his head. “Last breath, Is the greatest stage that none of our ancestors have ever achieved except for the first blue eye warrior. They serve as strength and carry twice the power of every other mode. But the more you use them, the more they drain your life force. But you jack have managed to unlock it, I will advise you to be careful when using it so you wouldn’t end up regretting it. Or else, wait for the right time.”

Jack knew instantly that this is the right time his father was talking about, With the last strength left in him. “Last breath.” He screams. His eyes turn pitch dark and all his lost strength and power return in thrice. Not only that, he felt different, the power was eating him up; just like his father had said. He knew it was because he was at the verge of dying and he hadn’t had enough time to cultivate the power.

Without hesitation, Jack pushes Ariel out of the way and the hammer lands on his chest instead. Orieon eyes wide in shock, it was clearly visible on his face that he didn’t expect jack to make another movie again talkless of counter his attack. Without giving him enough time to make another move, Jack thrust his claw into his neck and brought out his throat. Blood gushed out of his neck furiously and his body went limp. With a smile on his lip, Jack turns back to Ariel before going down. But she was quick enough to grab him.

Jack closed his eyes and allowed the darkness to take over, He could feel his ancestors reaching for him and hailing him. He had done something none of them had achieved; he had fulfilled his duty. He was awaiting a rebirth in another epoch.Without hesitation, he reached for his ancestor’s hand and allowed them to hurl him up.
