The scout force officers on duty were surprised to see the doctor as he drove in. To confirm their suspicions, they searched him before he was allowed to enter inside. After giving the men instructions, he slipped into his office and breathed in. He began immediately to search for the documents. He knew where they were, but decided to delay time.
He picked up his phone and sent a message to his confidant , ‘I’m in the hospital. Come fast with some men. My abductors are around…’
The message displayed sent and he returned to putting things in order.
He brought out a big file from a hidden compartment at the edge of the room and began flipping through when he heard a noise…

“We made a mistake giving that man his phone” Steve said as he walked thro and fro.
“Yes we did, because a bus filled with armed police men are heading this direction ” Lewis responded
“Lorna, Jessie move immediately” Steve said as he clenched his fists “Lewis, disconnect all radio communications within five mi radius of this environment”
“On it” lewis responded

Jessie got to the gate and tore it down with the incessant bullets coming from the machine fun she held. The security officials were supposed to see her and charged at her immediately.
She took the first three down with the butt of her gun and met a surprise kick on her back. She turned, did a flip in the air and landed on his head. She alighted and punched him twice in quick succession. He lay on the ground unconscious.
She knew where he was and made straight for the place.

Lorna flipped herself into the compound and charged at the first soldier she saw. She kicked him hard which drove him unconscious. The second began shooting and she had to hide. She calculated his distance from her hiding place and upon coming out, shot twice in his direction. He lay down dead.
The remaining three saw what happens and attacked together. She hit the first with the butt of her gun and as the second tried to sh00t, used the third as a shield. The bullets penetrated and killed the third. One left……She dropped the gun and so did he. It was a fist battle.
She ran forwards and punched him. He dodged and swerved towards the left, landing her a heavy kick on the ribs. She was destabilized and fought to regain balance. Seeing that as an opportunity, he tried punching her but she caught his fist and twisted his hands. He shouted in agony and tried kicking her. She kicked his leg down and punched his face .
He fell down and got up in quick succession. Lorna smiled and waited as he came forward. Picking her gun, she ended his life and ran to join Jessie.

The shots had died down….but he wondered what would be keeping the men he had demanded. He picked his phone up and decided to call but network was unavailable. He cursed as the door opened and Steve came in.
“Doctor Ivan, you eventually decided to play smart. Well, I’ll give you some last words before your death. One, you were nominated for the position of the vice president but lost. Two, I will) hunt down every single person involved in the death of Anthony, his wife and kids…”
“Its not possible” Ivan chuckled
“It might be delayed, but I will ”
“Lets watch how it plays out then ” Ivan said
Jessie and Lorna walked in.
“Boss, his accomplice is his PA. And we have him with us”
“Good. I will meet you guys at the car” Steve said and they left.
“Goodnight, Dr. Ivan” Steve said and shot him twice

off Abuja road…
“We can’t have a radio signal as to ascertain where it is” a junior police man told their boss.
“Keep going. It is at No. 26-30 anflix street, Wuse 2” he replied.
They kept going and eventually arrived.
“Sir, we are late ”
“What do you mean?” their leader asked
He pointed to the window at the center of the building and they saw the charred body of the late Dr. Ivan…

9.15pm
“…If the scout force couldn’t do it, then we have a delicate case on our hands. How can the untouchable Dr. Ivan be killed like a chicken?” one of the men asked
“We have always joked about this issue, but I think its high time we rise up to the demands of the occasion. We will double the security of every single member. Meanwhile, we have upgraded our tech facilities and are working fast towards achieving the SONPLAST…”
Everyone cheered…
“But it mustn’t be the reason to let our guard down. 29 years cannot go down into the drain for nothing. As for tomorrow, we will be hitting the founder of Magma Plc, the company that is the major producer and seller of Magma laptop and gadgets.
“As at last year, it was reported that Magma had gone beyond Samsung in the development of futuristic tech materials. Report says they are waiting for the right time to unveil them. But ladies and gentlemen, I think that now is the right time …”

Anthony munched some cucumber as the power supply was restored…He was just in time to listen to the news at 11pm.
“Hoodlums and suspected abductors of the late Dr. Ivan were sighted today as they upturned his hospital. The hoodlums, security say made their way into the hospital around past 4pm with the doctor in search of some classified documents.
“These classified documents were said to have contained private information about the doctor and the hospital. The police when contacted said that the case was still in the hands of the scout force and will be transferred to them as soon as possible. Meanwhile, twenty seven were injured with over thirty dead. The dead have been disposed of in a mortuary.
“Meanwhile, the president has sympathized with Ivan’s family while sending them the sum of #1.2 million.
“The president will tomorrow unveil a new project developed by the Ministry of Science and technology. The project which is a computerized police headquarters will be one of the first in the world….”

“Stupid people” Anthony muttered and walked inside.

“We don’t have time to waste by tomorrow, that document will be opened and leafed through. We must pin down the next target before this week runs out. And as for our prisoner who has refused to talk, his torturing starts tomorrow…”
