As I sat in my car, stranded in the infamous Lagos traffic, I couldn’t help but wonder if I would ever find my soulmate. I had been single for so long, and it seemed like every date I organized was just another disappointment. But, as fate would have it, meeting my soulmate was closer than I ever imagined.
As I sat there, fiddling with the radio, I noticed a woman on a motorcycle weaving her way through the congested traffic with the bike man . She caught my eye, and I couldn’t help but stare as the bike man effortlessly made his way to the front of the line.
As luck would have it, they ended up stopping right beside my car. I couldn’t help but glance over at her, and to my surprise, she looked over at me too. We locked eyes for a moment before she spoke.
“Hi,” she said, flashing me a warm smile. “Stuck in traffic too?”
I nodded, and before I knew it, we were engaged in a conversation that lasted for what felt like hours. We talked about everything, from our favorite hobbies to our dreams for the future. There was an undeniable chemistry between us, and the conversation flowed so naturally.
As the traffic began to clear up, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of sadness setting in. What if I never saw her again? But, as fate would have it, she passed me her phone number just as we were about to go our separate ways.
We stayed in touch, going on dates to explore the city, and even enjoying the occasional traffic jam together. It was then that I knew that she was my soulmate, the missing piece I had been searching for all along.
Years later, as we sat in our car, cruising down Lagos’ busy streets, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for that fateful encounter. Without the Lagos traffic, we may have never met. But as it turns out, the chaos of Lagos brought me the greatest love of my life.
