(Claire, Nathan)

~DENNIS RESIDENCE
A door was heard on the door and Mrs Dennis went to open it thinking it was Ella.

She paddled the wheelchair to the door and opened it only to be disappointed and it was accomplished with fear.

“Hello, Jennifer.” He called her name.

“Maverick.” She called and Maverick forced himself in.

” Glad you remembered me.” He sat still leaving Mrs Dennis at the door.

She later closed the door and went to meet him.

“What do you want and why did you almost ki*ll me?” She asked and he laughed.

” Wow, you figured that out, smart girl. You are really ungrateful, I helped you and this is how you are going to repay me?” He asked.

“Maverick stop this.”

“Common be my wife and everything will be okay.”

“Never! Not after killing my husband and taking away everything from me, you are heartless!”

He smacked her and she yelped in pain.

“You talk too much, don’t you? Then you will keep suffering until you become mine.” He said emotionlessly.

“You should have been dead by now if not that, that idiot missed the target but I’m giving you one last chance. Marry me or keep suffering.” He stood up and bumped into Ella who was coming in.

“Be careful next time.” He said and left.

Ella entered curiously.

“Mother, you never told me you are seeing someone. Your boyfriend Is so cute.” Ella teased.

” He’s not my type.”

” Seriously? Mum you need a man by your side,I will be off to college very soon and nobody will be around to help you.”

“I can take care of myself.”

“You are stubborn as usual. Mum I’m going to one of my classmate’s house today to study.” She said.

” Wow, this is new. Girl or boy?”

“He’s a boy mum and I’m only going there to study.” She quickly said.

” I get it, anyway I prepared something for us.”

” Thank God, am starving.” She pecked her cheeks and left.

‘ I need to tell her soon.’ Mrs. Dennis thought.

~CARL’S RESIDENCE
~FLASHBACK
Isabel blinked her eyes repeatedly before Zion dropped his hands.

Ella already left the class.

Zion held her hand and took her out of the class to an empty class.

“What were you going to do?” He asked looking annoyed.

” Why are you so bothered? You don’t even like her.” Isabel said.

“So? You were going to do something stupid that can bring your best friend’s life in jeopardy, weren’t you thinking?”

” Who cares? She was getting on my nerves. Zion, I’m doing all this for you.” She held his hands but he yanked it away.

“Don’t do anything for me, I’m not interested. I like someone else’s.” He said and left.

Isabel broke down in tears when it hit on her that he loves Skylar.

“I hate you, Skylar!”

“So do I.” A voice that belonged to Brooklyn said.

She was standing at the doorway before she walked up to Isabel.

“Really?” She asked crookedly.

“Yes babe, she’s taking Ryan from me so why shouldn’t I hate her?” Brooklyn asked.

“You are right, she behaves innocent but she isn’t a bit!” Isabel said.

“Exactly my point, but when did you start liking Zion? I never remembered you being close to him before I left.” Brooklyn wondered.

“I don’t know too but he keeps complimenting and acting so sweet towards me. He even gave me the nickname ‘Sleeping Beauty’. I really fell helplessly.

“Cute, why don’t you join my gang and show Skylar her rightful place.” She offered.

“If it will bring Zion to me then I’m in.” Isabel joined hands with Brooklyn who has an evil smile on.

 

~BACK TO PRESENT
Isabel was on her bed hugging her teddy bear tightly imagining it as Zion.

She decided not to go to Zion’s house today because she can’t bear to see Ella’s face and the thought of them being together is making her go crazy.

“Agrhhh!” She threw the teddy bear away.

“Should I go? I’m so bored I hate my family! They all left me here.” She almost screamed.

She heard the sound of a car outside and she went to her window peeping and she was happy to see her elder brother.

She left her room immediately and ran downstairs barefooted till she collided with her brother who was already entering the house.

“Big bro!” She jumped on him and Nathan chuckled.

“Miss me right?” He asked when she came down.

“Of course big head, why are you home though?”

“A fight broke out in college and it was very serious so they gave us two weeks break to settle things out.”

“Yay! I have you all to myself, have you informed Mum and dad?”

“Yes when I was coming, they said they coming this Saturday for a wedding though.” He said and Isabel frowned.

“Whose wedding?”

“Mrs Craig’s wedding, he’s getting remarried.” He said and he dawned on Isabel.

“Oh Brooklyn’s dad, she didn’t even tell anyone at school.”

“Who cares? Let me go freshen up so I can take you out.” He pecked her cheeks and Isabel smiled.

“So good to have someone around.”

~ JONES RESIDENCE
Ella is currently in Zion’s room going through the projects at hand.

“Okay this is perfect, we should round it up tomorrow.” He said packing everything on the study table and Ella smiled.

“I should get going,” Ella said standing up.

“I’ve been meaning to ask you, why are you doing that kind of job?” He asked

“Which Job?”

“Oh common, I saw you at the Erotic club once. I was really shocked .”

Ella’s eyes widened.

“OMG! Is that why you hate me?” She covered her mouth with her palms.

“Obviously but I have been thinking lately, you will have reasons for that right?” He asked and she nodded.

“Yes.” She explained everything to him and he became guilty.

“Oh my, I never knew and I treated like sh*t, I’m sorry.” He apologized and Ella couldn’t believe her ears.

“It’s okay, it’s normal. I should get going I have a mother at home.” She said.

“Wait.” She stopped and the next thing he hugged her leaving Ella frozen.

“That’s a friendly hug, consider me as your friend now and please help me to talk to Skylar, she’s mad at me.” He sulked and Ella found that funny.

“I will do that for my new friend.” She said and he smiled before she walked out.

~REYES RESIDENCE 8:00 PM

The Reyes family is currently having dinner to celebrate the homecoming of their daughter.

Claire Reyes.

“Ryan the smoker pass me that.” She said obviously trying to annoy him and Ryan glared at her before handing the chicken to her.

“This is unfair, stop calling me that.” He sulked.

“Now it’s unfair, you always loved the name,” Claire said and everyone laughed at that.

“Claire stop calling my son that, he’s changed.” Mrs Reyes defended.

“Skylar you really tried coping with this big-for-nothing boy.” She hit his head and he did his back.

“Claire that’s enough, Stop hitting the man of the house.” Their dad said smiling.

” Tell them that, she’s been disrespectful,” Ryan said and Claire scoffed.

“An older than you!”

“Just two years and besides I’m taller.” He boasted.

“It’s normal, am a girl.” She defended.

Skylar who was sitting beside Ryan was enjoying their banters remembering her parents and brother,they are always like this when eating together.

“I’m done here, darling let’s leave them to our bedroom.” Mr Reyes said taking his wife’s hand.

“We all know what you wanna do.” Claire and Ryan chorused.

“Spoilt children.” She said and they laughed including Skylar.

Mr & Mrs. Reyes left for their room.

“You want more?” Ryan asked Skylar.

“No, I’m okay.” She said and a maid came packing all the plates.

“Skylar you are really beautiful and I want you to keep an eye on this brother of mine, don’t let him get close to that b***h who broke his heart, I really care for this idiot but what can I do when he behaves like an idiot sometimes,” Claire said and Skylar giggled.

Brooklyn actually to their house but Claire sent her away.

“The way you sent her away was funny, you shooed her away .”

“That’s for breaking my brother’s heart.”
