 CHAPTER THIRTEEN 

Alberto began trembling in fear as he saw he had fangs.

“Please don’t harm me. What kind of beast are you?” He said in fear

“Oh I won’t harm you, if you collaborate with me” Cassius said with an evil smile playing on his lips…

“I’ll do whatever you want please don’t hurt me” He pleaded…

“Good, that’s what I wanted from the start. Why do you always love to make things more complicated for you. Anyways I want you to vote for me as the new president. With your status I’m sure it will be a piece of cake to convince the citizens. I’m I being clear?” Cassius said calmly…

“Yes sir” He replied..

“Good, have a nice day Mr. Alberto” Cassius said and walked out of his office.

He smile charmingly at the secretary and went his way…

After some moments they broke the hug and stared at each other.

“How I wish to know what’s going on in your mind” Stephen said…

“What do you mean by that?” Ameliah asked curiously…

“I have the ability of reading people’s mind but I don’t know why I can’t read yours” He said and pinched her nose.

“Good thing you can’t” Ameliah said with a smirk…

Stephen sighed loudly and looked at her…

“I have to go now Lia, I have some unfinished business to settle down with Jessica.” Stephen said and Ameliah suddenly felt sad…

“Don’t worry I’ve broken up with her but she seem to be persistent.” Stephen said…

“Is she a vampire?” Ameliah asked…

“No, she’s a werewolf” Stephen answered

“Werewolf also exist?” Ameliah asked surprised…

“Yep. I’ll have to go now” He pecked her nose and vanished.

Ameliah touched her nose and smiled…

Stephen appeared infront of Jessica’s house. He ranf the bell and some maids opened the gate for him.

He walked in and was waiting at the place he was asked to. After some time Jessica walker in with her father…

Jessica immediately ran and hugged him…

“I knew you would come back for me” She said with a smile…

Stephen pulled her away from him and said…

“I’m not here for you Jessica, I’m here for your dad” He said and Jessica face immediately fell…

Stephen turned to her father and bowed in greetings in which he approved with a nod..

“Mr Warburton, I’m here because I’m rejecting your offer to marry your daughter” Stephen said and Jessica immediately yelled…

“No!! You can’t do this to me Stephen. If you marry, I swear I’ll make life impossible for you even if it means declaring war to the whole clan of vampires”Jessica said and Stephen looked at her in shock…

“You wouldn’t do it” Stephen said in disbelief…

“Watch me do it” Jessica said and almost immediately his father said…

“Shut up Jessica” His father snapped at her…

Jessica was confused and shocked. Its the first time his father raised his voice on her.

“You might be the chosen werewolf but I’m still the leader of the werewolf clan. And I am the one that decides whether they’ll be war or not” Jessica’s father said…

He then turned to Stephen and gave him a pleading expression…

“Stephen, please accept my apologies. I’m sorry for forcing you to marry my daughter. I just wanted to satisfy her, but it seems it’s getting out of control. You can marry anyone you want I’ll support you. And you can always count on me my son” He said with a smile…

“Thanks Mr Warburton” Stephen replied with a smile

“I’ll take my leave now” He continued, then he glanced at Jessica who was glaring angrily at him…

He walked out the house with a smile.

“You pay for making a fool out of my love Stephen” Jessica whispered

Stephen appeared in a discreet area close to the club one of his men told him…

He masked his vampire scent and walked to the entrance of the building…

As he made to enter, someone blocked his way.

“Hey are you going” The person asked…

Stephen stared at him and from his smell, He’s a vampire.

“I just want to spend some time here and maybe grab some chicks, it’s a club isn’t it” Stephen said pretending to be a playboy…

“I’m sorry mister, this is a club for two. You have to accompanied if you want to get in” The man said…

“That’s so sad dude” Stephen said and walked away he hid himself and teleported back to his room.

When he arrived he smiled as he saw Ameliah sleeping on his bed… She looked so cute…

He lightly kissed her lips which seems to wake her up.

“Sorry, I slept off. Where were you, you took so long?” Ameliah asked with a pout

“After I finished settling my dispute with Jessica’s father, I decided to check up on something” Stephen said as he sat down on the bed. Ameliah placed her head on his lap and she stared at his face..

“Do you mind telling me what you were checking up on?” Ameliah asked eagerly…

Stephen smiled and stroke her hair as he began explaining to her what he was doing and also about Cassius.

“So this Cassius is a very bad who wants you and Jessica. And you suspect his hideout to be a club right but you can’t enter there unless you’re accompanied” Ameliah said and Stephen nodded while stroking her hair…

Her face brighten and she sat up and looked at Stephen…

“How about I accompany you?” She said…

“What? No way I’m letting you go in an area full of evil vampire and werewolf.” He said while shaking his head…

She pouted and held his arm then shook it with her girly strength…

“Come on Steph…You need me, weren’t you the one who told me that vampire have a sharp sense of smell? I’m a human therefore I can help you. You can mask your scent”

“But I don’t want to get you harmed” Stephen said worriedly…

“I’ll be by your side. No one is gonna harm me” She said…

Stephen sighed and pinched his brows..

“Alright” He said…

Ameliah jumped happily…

“Yay, I’ll get to see more handsome vampire!!” She squealed…

Stephen stared at her with jealousy eating him up…

“How about me aren’t I handsome enough for you” Stephen said

Ameliah made as if she was thinking and shrugged her shoulders…

Cassius and Paolo were in a room discussing about the upcoming election when someone entered and bored deeply…

“Sorry to disturb your meeting but there’s someone who willingly followed us here telling us that she wants to meet with Cassius.” The man announced…

“Bring the person in” Cassius said without looking at the man…

Not long after footsteps could be heard as someone entered the room…
