Chapter 81
(Cat out of the bag)

Megan’s POV

The witch priestess had made a telepathy spell, sending me back to the human world. I appeared in a reticent place with less people around. I looked round to check if anyone had seen me appearing, but everyone was just going about their usual business.

This place is more of a slum, which is far from the main city where I live. Why the hell will I appear here, gosh..now I will have to take a cab down to the mansion. I shrugged and flagged down a taxi. Thanks to Prince Jordan, the dress I wore had a scarf, so I used it to cover half part of my face, to avoid being recognized by my fans.

“Birches Park” I muttered to the driver on entering the vehicle. The park is actually a stone throw from the mansion, so I will just take a walk there.

“Ok ma’am” the driver replied and roared the engine to life. Still in the ride I began thinking of what to use as a T-fare. I am not with cash…

“Damn..”I cursed. I quickly remember the earrings on my ears. They are worth a fortune, perhaps that would do. I hope he collects it.

It was more of an hour drive until we got to the location. He stepped on the brakes and parked properly
“We are here ma’am..and your money is 20 bucks” He stated waiting for me to reply

“I don’t have money with me….” I simply replied him, as his expression changed, he turned to face me
“What the hell do you mean…why did you board the cab when you f**king gat no money…you”

He was still ranting when I pulled off the earrings, holding the scarf properly to cover my face

“Here…take this…it worth more than a million in the gold market…you can have it. It’s pure gold” I muttered. He frowned and looked at the little earrings on my hand, perhaps contemplating if it’s fake or genuine. He reluctantly picked it out, staring closely at it before nodding.

“Fine….you can leave” he noted coldly. I rolled my eyes, and watch the cab leave before walking down to the mansion.

I met the mansion heavily guarded more than before. Perhaps my parent decided to increase the security after I went missing. I walked down the path that led to the gate but was stopped halfway by a huge and scary looking man in uniform.

“Hey you….stop there…where do you think you are going to. Do you have any appointment here” He asked in a husky voice. I sighed before speaking

“I live here” I replied, though the scarf was still covering half of my face
He glared at me, checking out my dressing. The dress is quite different from what people wear here in London. So he might be wondering where I come from

“A maid? Where is you ID card?” He asked. This time, some other security men where closing up.
“I’m not a maid…I don’t wanna be seen outside…i’m miss Megan Johnson.” I replied him, pulling the scarf off. He gasped loudly, but later comported himself, by clearing his throat

“And how am I sure that you ain’t an impostor” He gruff, making me scoff
“Seriously…I think you are new here…and perhaps don’t like your job” I gritted. Just then, another security man came closer.

“Oh my God….it’s Miss Megan…clear the way idiot…don’t you know her” he shouted at the one interrogating me, as they pave way for me to go in.

“F**k….i know that the news will be online in a matter of seconds. That’s how fast news flies here in London.

D’Arcy and Emerald went into the house, just in time to see Daniel still sitting on the couch, while her parents were going up the stairs. They were yet to notice their presence not until a maid who was coming out of the kitchen saw them and screamed Emeralds name.

Daniel looked up immediately, same as her parent who stopped on the stairs. They all looked at the direction where the duo stood with shock and happiness glinting in their eyes.

“Oh my gawd…my baby” her mum screamed running down the stairs towards her as they click in an embrace, bursting into tears.

“Mum….i’m sorry” Emerald cried…as her mum kept kissing her hair holding her tightly. Her father came behind them and also hugs her after she had disengaged from her mum.

“Dad…” She whispered
“Thank God you are safe dear….we were worried” Mr. Lush shuttered, patting her hair as she cried unto his chest. Daniel also came closer to hug her

“I’m sorry Emerald….i should have watched out for you..when…” he choked on his words
“No…it’s not your fault…it’s no one fault…”

D’Arcy gently watched them from behind, until then where done and got to notice his presence
“Good day Mr. and Mrs. Lush…hi Daniel” he greeted softly, though a bit nervous, as he waits eagerly for their reply. But they were yet to say a word when the door opened revealing Rose.

She had come to check on the family to find out if there was any progress with the police investigations; and also to check up on Daniel. After their last date, she hasn’t been able to give him her answer. She just doesn’t want to bring it up when Emerald is still missing, which has been causing him sadness.

The bag in her hand fell off on sighting her friend, she didn’t notice D’Arcy but ran toward Emerald, grabbing her in a tight hug

“Oh my god…you are back…harghh…hope you weren’t hurt…we were worried…I missed you” She pouted, breaking the hug
“Me too..i’m sorry for staying that long…for keeping you all worried”

“What’s your name young man” Mr. Lush asked, referring his question to D’Arcy, as everyone concentrated their attention on him

“Dave…sir. Dave Bathory” He replied. Well, he had taken likeness in the name, and will continue to bare it
“Who are you to my daughter?”
“Dad…he is my….”

“I am her boyfriend..” D’Arcy cut in before Emerald could speak. Her heart was already racing when he cuts in, thinking he will call her his mate in front of her family. But she became calm when he said girlfriend. That’s a bit better

Her dad looked intently at him as he said that word. He looked at his daughter who gave him a pouting look before facing D’Arcy again.

“And what were you doing with her…why didn’t you bring her home after escaping the scene” he asked in a harsh tone

“Dad….honey..” Emerald and her mum called at the same time. D’Arcy sighed, not wanting to act cowardly or rude

“I’m sorry sir…but…”
“Dad I never wanted to come back” Emerald quickly chipped in, to save him the stress of thinking of what to say.

“What??” Everyone in the room exclaimed, aside D’Arcy
“Yes…and that’s why I said that I’m sorry. I’m sorry for making you all worried, but you need to hear our side of the story.

“Audrey said that you left before the scene…why did you do that..Emmy” Daniel cuts in, as Rose nodded. Emerald shook her head

“That’s a lie…a big lie. We were there when the vampires came, but we managed to escape before they could hurt us. Dave here rescued me. That b!tch that calls herself Audrey set us up…” She exclaimed, explaining the scene of how Gary tried to rape her, how D’Arcy came to her rescue and how they met the bloody scene in the club on getting out. But left out the scene of the vampires chasing them

“We escaped through the back door, and missed our way. It was already late at night, and we couldn’t find our way back. So we had to stop by a house; the people took us in..and that was where we were until we decided to leave” D’Arcy chipped in

“I was scared of coming back. I was thinking the vampires were still around…” Emerald said and busted into fake tears

“It’s ok…the best thing now is that you both are alive…” her mum stated, rubbing her back.
“I will need to tell the police to close the case…our daughter is back..hale and sound” Mr. Lush muttered as his wife nodded in agreement

Rose went towards D’Arcy and hugged him.

“Thank you for saving her” She whispered, as Daniel also came forward to pat his shoulder
D’Arcy smiled and pats her hair
It was time for him to leave

“Dave” Mr. Lush called as he was about going. He paused
“Thank you….for keeping her safe” he muttered. D’Arcy smiled out
“It’s my job to do…sir” he humbly replied

Amber’s Chambers
“Your food is served my queen” The maid who brought the food said to her, after she was done setting the little dining table situated in one part of the room. Amber nodded and let her off.

She went towards the table, savoring the aroma of the sumptuous delicacies placed on it. She dug in, in no time, and ate to her fill.

The maid came to clear out the dishes, while she went back to bed to relax. She remembered her encounter with Jezebel early that morning and chuckled

“That b!tch thought she could stop me from achieving my plans, but she is just a fool. She actually helped me to get them easily without knowing.” She thought and rubbed her belly, smiling brightly.

“Hey little one….hope you are safe in there….you will be out in a matter of months…my darling prince” She chuckled, but paused on feeling a slight pain in my abdomen.

“What the hell….did you do that?” She questioned the little baby bump, rubbing it calmly, but the pain struck her again, harder this time.

“Arghh…” She groaned, her breathe hitched. She held her tummy, trying to get off the bed, struggling to breathe. The maid who had finished clearing the table, came towards where she lay, not noticing her predicament at first.

“My queen…do you need any more thing…I can help with….” She paused when she heard Amber’s groan, seeing her struggle on the bed.

“My lady…” She yelled, going closer to Amber as she tried helping her up

“My stomach,…it hurts…take me out…call the guards…” Amber managed to speak. The maid did as she was asked, she ran out to call some guards who went in with her. They managed to raise Amber up; she could feel something coming down her legs.

“Arghhh….blood” the maid screamed, shivering to her bones. Amber was already losing consciousness, her body was getting cold

“Stay with us my queen…stay with us….someone should get the doctor…” The guard who held her yelled as they went into the palace clinic. They were directed to a ward, where the royalties are being attended to.

Hunter was in the palace, having a meeting with some visitors from other vampire kingdoms. He had planned to align with them to attack the kingdom of Ricadua, but they were giving him a hard time to accept the deal.

They do not want to go on war with their fellow brethren. He was pissed, he didn’t need their help to win the war, he only wanted their support to make Ricadua a part of Vampic fall, being a neighboring kingdom.

“Your highness, Vampic fall is large enough, twice the kingdom of Ricadua or any other Vampic kingdom. You don’t have to be selfish and greedy into making it yours. We want the peace that has been among the fellow kingdom to still be.” One of the men stated, pissing Hunter the more

“I agree to what my comrade had said, Ricadua had done nothing wrong. If anyone should start a war, then it should be Ricauda. Because it’s stated that this kingdom has refused to pay up the debt they owe the kingdom.”Another said

Hunter was about saying something when a guard ran in, going on his knees
“My lord…there is a problem, your presence is needed at the royal clinic” He said breathlessly

“What happened?” Hunter asked, not wanting to show out his anger

“The queen…she passed out”
“What????” he snapped, getting on his feet.

Jezebel watched from her window, the scene that was going on in the palace. She let out a wicked smile, as Amber was being rushed into the clinic.
“Phew…that was fast” She grinned

“Sure..it was” A voice replied her. Shocked, she turned to look
“When did you get in here” She whispered, closing the drapes and went to check if the door is locked
Onyx chuckled walking towards her

“I have magic….what do you expect..i can appear anywhere I want”
She rolled her eyes

“You should be careful of coming here anyhow. I am a princess for goodness sake..and you…are a priest. What will the people say if they find out about us, and mind you…Hunter might just walk in, at any time” She blabbered

Onyx scoffed
“I am Onyx…different from any other vampire…no one is gonna find out about anything”
She pouted

“What will happen to Amber?”
“She will lose the baby…isn’t that what you want. And I must congratulate you for the job well done…my little one” he raised her chin, staring down at her lips

“We can’t continue to do this Onyx….the last time was a mistake…” She tried to snap, but her voice betrayed her making it come out in a whisper. Onyx smirked

“And you won’t tell me that you didn’t like the last time” he winked, dipping his hand into her cloth as he fondle her b00b

“I have given you what you asked for…now…I need something in return” he pinched her te@t, making her gasp. She closed her eyes, eagerly waiting for him to explore her body.

He picked her up and placed her on the bed, trialing kisses down her neck, as he captures her te@t in his mouth. She mo@ns loudly, holding him still. He went to her ear, and planted kisses on it

“I need something special…which I believe you can give” he tore her cloths apart, spreading her legs as he pushed in a finger.

“Argh..” She moaned, spreading it apart. She wanted him to be fast with it, as her body was already on fire, dripping wet. He knows her weakness and is taking his time to deal with her.

“But you have to promise me that you will give it to me” he muttered and pushed the second finger, leaving it there

“Oh my…just say it…and let’s get on with this…I’m h0rny..” She pleaded. He smirked, pushing in the third finger

“I need…..the trident..get it for me” He dropped the bombshell, as she came back to her senses
“What!!!!” She shrieked

Few Hours Later~~
Thana entered the ward where Amber was kept; she just arrived from a journey where she went to see some of her friends. On getting back, she heard the news of Amber being hospitalized and decided to check on her.

She went towards the bed where Amber lay, sleeping soundly. She caressed her hair softly, placing a of kiss on her forehead

“What the hell happened” She thought to herself; just then the door opened, as Emmett came in, looking angry.

“What are you doing here…you mother of a b!tch” he snapped. Thana, shocked to her bones, glared at him weirdly, then chuckled.

“I don’t get you..what the hell did you just call me. Is it a sin to come check on my daughter in law?”

“Yes…it has become a sin…why because my daughter’s life in now in danger..because of that bas***d of a daughter you have.” He yelled

“What are you trying to say…I don’t get you?”

“Amber has lost her child…it was aborted…tell me…whose work is it…if not Jezebel”

“And how will Jezebel be the one to make her child get aborted. Do you think it brings joy to me that she lost her child…my own grandchild? You ain’t the only one pained here Emmett…I am..also”

“Your daughter…Jezebel…poisoned her…her food was poisoned Thana…that bas***d of a child you have did this to my daughter”

“My daughter isn’t a murderer… the maid in charge of her food should be properly questioned and forced to say the truth. Jezebel will never hurt amber, they are friends. What are you gonna gain with fake proof Emmett…what has come over you”

“Just wait for it Thana…it’s either you provide that riff raft and make her pay for what she has done, or I will make sure I tell the whole kingdom that she isn’t Orpheus’ daughter…you cheat” he spat. Thana was taken aback, and when she wanted to reply him, the door cracked open, with Hunter stepping into the ward

They both turn to stare at him, checking out his expression
“What did you just say…..Emmett” Hunter asked coldly, as Thana’s heart skip a beat.
