Chapter 10

“Should we do horror,” Dylan murmured while pointing at a gory poster of a lady with a severed head, “or comedy.”

She moved her eyes in the direction of the comedy poster where two men were being thrown out of a house wearing nothing but overalls.

Not to mention the explosion in the background blowing up everything behind them.

“Comedy,” she responded flatly.

Her boyfriend stared at the comedy poster and shook his head.

“They are really running out of ideas.”

She wholeheartedly agreed.

They slowly made their way over the long line of other couples going out in dates.

Feeling not so out of place, she laid her head on his shoulder while standing there waiting for the line to eventually move.

Her boyfriend gave her head a kiss and she smiled lovingly at him, dwelling in the peaceful happiness.

“Next, please!”

They both glanced over how many more people were left and thankfully there was only two couple ahead of them.

“Busy today, isn’t it?” Dylan commented.

She hummed in agreement and frowned a little at the unusual nosiness.

“It usually isn’t like this.”

“Is there some big event happening or something or did everyone just coincidentally decide to go to the movies today,” he joked.

She giggled lightly and shrugged her shoulders.

“Maybe.”

“Next, please!”

Daniella glanced at the counter for a brief second and saw the lady staring right at them. She quickly knew that it was their turn and immediately grabbed her boyfriend’s hand and led them to the counter.

The counter girl smiled at them and she gave back the obliged polite smile,

“Hi, there. What can we do for you?”

Dylan rested one arm on top of the counter and the other around her waist lovingly.

“Two tickets for Rad Dad’s, please.”

“Sure thing. Would that be a front, middle or back seat?”

Dylan looked over at her and she instantly knew she didn’t want front row.

The last and only time she went to the front row was also the time she couldn’t sleep properly for a week.

Her neck cramped so much.

“Middle, please,” she interrupted.

The lady smiled at her knowingly and she gave an awkward laugh.

“That would be $44.00.”

“I got this,” Dylan whispered to her while moving to his back pocket.

She watched as he rustled around his pockets and waited patiently until his face turned pale.

“Oh no….”

She raised an eyebrow at him,

“What’s wrong?”

He looked up at her with an sheepish smile,

“I forgot my wallet.”

“Again?” she chuckled.

He looked embarrassed and scratched his head sheepishly while giving a cheeky grin.

“You know what, maybe just wait here and I will quickly go and get it. It’s probably in my car.”

He was about to turn around when when grabbed his arm and stopped him abruptly.

“Look, don’t worry about it, I can pay for it. Besides, we shouldn’t make the people behind us wait.” She looked over at the annoyed faces behind her.
