EPISODE 72.

 

 

 

“I got married to you not because I was told to but because I love you.” He softly said and Anna’s body became frozen.

 

Wait what?

 

Did she hear right or was she dreaming again?

 

Anna was shocked beyond words and couldn’t make out the right words to say..

 

Her reaction didn’t go unnoticed by him but he didn’t stop there..

 

“Did you think anyone can make me marry a woman I don’t love? For the first time in my life I felt something other than trust for someone. Well I should thank whoever is was for bringing you to me Because they certainly did a good job and it’s the very reason why I’m still letting them live.” He brought her hand to his chest so she could feel his heart beat..

 

She patted her lips in surprise and trailed her thumb on his face to be sure everything that was happening was real..

 

“Are you for real or you’re just saying that to make me feel better?”

 

Anna was finding it hard to believe that the world most dangerous billionaire is in love with her..

 

“I love you, Annabelle and I meant everything I said.” He heaved a sigh but she didn’t stop crying..

 

“Come here.” Lucas opened his arms wide for her and she threw herself on him and hugged him tightly..

 

She should be happy he feels the same way but here she was being a cry baby and she definitely couldn’t tell him she loves him too..

 

“Ssh …it’s okay love, you make me feel bad.” He whispered soothing words to her as he stroked her hair gently..

 

Anna eventually calmed down and peeled herself away from him..

 

Lucas slowly brought his trembling hands to her tummy and his eyes flickered with a strange emotion..

 

Is this what they call excitement? He Mumbled in his head as he stroked her tummy tenderly..

 

“I’m gonna be a father.” He Mumbled unconsciously as he stared at her tummy..

 

His lips curled up into a beautiful smile and Anna felt smitten by him..

 

She placed her hand on his and watched as the smile on his face bloomed..

 

“Yes you’re.” She muttered and he nodded and took his hand away from her before bending over for a kiss..

 

He planted lingering kisses on her forehead, nose and her cheeks making her groan softly because he’d intentionally missed her lips..

 

Lucas didn’t wanna tease her and planted a kiss on her lips and tried to pull away but she suddenly held onto his blazer and pulled him closer before slamming her lips on his , engaging him in a fierce and passionate kiss..

 

They only pulled away from each other to catch their breaths.

 

“Let’s go home, I don’t like it in here.” She mumbled and he lifted her off the bed before she could say anything more..

 

She wrapped her hands around his neck and buried her face against his chest while he takes her outta the ward…

 

The doctor followed him to the car with the report in his hand and handed it to Elias..

 

Once his wife was seated comfortably at the backseat he took the test results from Elias and sent a picture of it to his grandfather and mother in law with a caption that says ” I did my duties.” And sent it to both of them with a smile plastered on his face..

 

“What are you doing?” Anna asked when she noticed the Smile on his face..

 

“It’s nothing, let’s go home.” He said and Elias stepped on the acceleration immediately.

 

He couldn’t wait to tell Old man Ming every single thing that happened..
