TROUBLE IN HEELS.

EPISODE 71.

 

 

Lucas paced back and forth the examination room as he waited for his wife and the doctor..

 

For some reason he felt uneasy and couldn’t think straight..

 

He was brought outta his thoughts when his wife was wheeled outta the examination room by a nurse while the doctor followed by with a smile on his face..

 

Lucas walked towards them and lifted her off the wheelchair without saying a word and walked towards the VVIP ward..

 

The nurse an the doctor stared at him with a bewildered expression..

 

This was the sweetest thing they’d seen in their years in the hospital..

 

His eyes were filled with nothing but love for his wife as he carried her away effortlessly..

 

The doctor and the nurse shook their heads with a smile plastered on their faces before following behind..

 

 

 

Lucas tucked his wife in bed properly after she’d fallen asleep in his arms only then did he stepped outta the room to talk to the doctor..

 

“What’s wrong with her?” He asked with a cold expression and they knew not to get on his nerves..

 

They know just how terrifying he could be whenever he’s angry..

 

“Congratulations Lord Lucas, She’s two weeks pregnant.” Doctor Martinez spoke with a soft smile and Lucas felt like his world had come to a halt..

 

Ever since they’d known him he’d never shown even the tiniest bit of emotion on his face but just now his eyes flicked and a trace of emotion flashed on his face..

 

The doctor was equally amazed by this development..

 

“Are you sure?” Lucas cleared his throat and the coldness in his eyes returned..

 

“Yes, sir. The test results will be handed over to you shortly..” the doctor assured him but he didn’t say a word and just walked into the Ward leaving them dumbfounded..

 

They saw it as their que to leave and they left immediately and leave the couple alone..

 

Lucas walked towards the sleeping beauty slowly while his heart was beating really fast..

 

It was the first time he’d ever felt waves of emotions flood his system and he conflicted on how to managed them at once.

 

He sat down by the bedside and tucked a strand of her hair behind slowly..

 

He bent over slightly and planted a lingering kiss on her forehead making her open her eyes..

 

“Are you okay? Do you feel any discomfort anywhere?” Lucas whispered with a worried expression and she shook her head and tears slowly rolled down her cheeks..

 

Lucas almost panicked when he saw her tears and immediately thought he was the reason for her tears..

 

“I’m so sorry My love, did I say something wrong?” He asked with a concern expression as he wiped off her tears with his thumb..

 

She shook her head and let her tears fall freely..

 

Lucas was feeling helpless because he has no idea what he’d done..

 

“I’m pregnant.” She mumbled with a hoarse voice and he entwined their fingers and planted a kiss on it..

 

“Are you not happy about it?” He asked patiently while stroking her hair and this made feel more guilty..

 

Someone like her doesn’t deserve such a wonderful man as her husband.

 

He was too good to be true and she scared, he would one day get tired of her..

 

“I was a petty thief and got married to you under false pretenses and constantly got in trouble giving you a hard time. A woman like me is not worthy of carrying your child..” she burst into tears and this broke her heart..

 

She was feeling guilty because she’d fallen deeply for him..

 

She knows he probably doesn’t feel the same and has only been with her because he feels obligated to do so..

 

“Ssh…. Don’t cry okay? You make me sad.” The more he looked at her with those concerned eyes , the more guilty she feels..

 

“Please don’t make me feel guilty than I’ve already been.” Her voice had become hoarse from crying so much..

 

“I’m not trying to make you feel guilty or anything it’s just that you’re misunderstanding something here.” He paused and wiped off her tears..

 

“I got married to you not because I was told to but because I love you.” He softly said and Anna’s body became frozen.
