(Curiosity)

Cottage~~

 Ariel’s POV

I woke up yawing loudly as I stretch my bones; it made cracking sounds as I pull the blanket off my body. I noticed feeble sun rays invading the room through the window. Gosh…It’s morning already….nope it’s not morning..it’s already noon, I shriek jumping out of bed after glancing at the wall clock.

 

“Did I really sleep for that long? And where is Axel?” I asked no one in particular.

“You won’t be expecting him to be beside you when you wake up duh…” My subconscious replied as I rolled my eyes. My stomach made annoying noises which means that it needed to be fed. I walk sluggishly to the bathroom; well Axel actually showed it to me yesterday. I quickly freshen up; pulled out a cloth from my box and wore it.

 

I made my way out, looking fresh after a warm bath as I head down the short steps that lead to the living room. Axel is actually not in his room, and I’m beginning to wonder if he hasn’t left me alone here, not until a sweet smell waft towards my nose, passing through my nostril down to my stomach…yea that’s where it ends though. I think the smell is coming from the kitchen. Geez, my stomach is gonna start a war if I don’t get to feed those angry worms.

 

I think someone is preparing chicken; gosh my mouth is getting watered. I was about stepping into the kitchen when a voice stopped me

“Good Afternoon madame….” Paulo greeted with a broad smile as I turned to stare at him, controlling my urge to go into that kitchen and devour whatever is in there.

 

“Oh…afternoon Paulo…did I get the pronunciation right?” I asked

“Yes…madame…erm…how was your night?” He asked with a slight bow, making me wanna chuckle. He doesn’t have to do that to a little girl like me.

“Pleasant…erm..where is Axel” I asked

 

“Oh…master went out…he said..he will be back..soon” he stated as I nodded. I pray he gets back early if he doesn’t want me to kick his a$$.

 

“See you later Paulo” I stated and went towards the kitchen without waiting for his reply. If Axel is not around, then who the hell is coking that enticing meal in the kitchen, I thought and went in. I was met with a sight of a slutty girl…or should I just call her a whore with the way she was dressed, gosh. Her backside was turned towards my direction.

 

She was putting on a ripped bum short, which barely covers her huge a$$ with a flimsy crop top. She wasn’t even putting on a bra, as her hard nipples were sprouting out. I was still gaping at her, jealousy and anger already streaming down my nerves, not knowing when she turned to look at me.

 

“Oh..hi” She smiled, turning fully to face me

“Sleeping beauty is already awake” she stated picking up a knife to chop some onions.

“Who are you?” I asked with a slight frown, which I don’t know what gingered it. It’s not like she has offended me in any way

“Tsk. That’s rude for a beauty. You couldn’t even reply my greetings.” She snorted as I scoff. Her dressing alone is not inviting. She looks like a slut

 

My stomach decided to disgrace me, it growls loudly making her chuckle.

“Come on chum.. I think your worms are angry” she stated, going to place some plate on the dinning table. She had prepared the fried chicken; just wanna make the fried rice.

“I made bread and scrabble eggs this morning. You can have it first before lunch will be ready”

 

“You saw Axel this morning?” I asked her, as she set my meal

“Yep” she popped the P

Gosh I can’t believe Axel also saw her in this, and didn’t make any complaint about it. I mean, does he always bring in sluts to cook for him. Damnit…

Axel’s POV

After freshening up that morning, I place a call to Audrey to come make breakfast and decided to go get some things from the mall. I was in the ladies section, getting some thick pullovers for Ariel. Well, the cottage is mostly cold at night, and the blankets in the house are barely enough to keep off the cold.

I noticed that she was shivering when we had a quick dinner last night. Perhaps she didn’t come along with her hood or pullover. She might not be expecting this change of weather.

 

I was checking out some toiletries which I can also get for her when I heard a voice.

“You really wanna get that…are you confused on what to buy” A young lady stated, walking towards me with a smile plastered on her face. She looks cute and a bit muscular; walks like a tom boy.

 

“Erm..yea…I don’t know what she will like…or the ones she makes use of…” I muttered referring to ladies pads…gosh I should have just sent Audrey to get this thing, but she had to make lunch and I don’t wanna risk coming to the mall every time. The journey from the cottage to the main city is really far.

 

“Oh…having problem with buying something for your girlfriend” She asked, making me surprise at her confidence. Too good, she doesn’t recognize me as a celeb. My face cap really did justice, covering my head and parts of my face.

“Nahh..she is not…just a friend though”

 

“Ok..i think she will like this…every girl uses this…so she won’t be an exceptional” She muttered as I smiled.

“Thanks…”

“I’m Jane…you. ..”

 

“Axel…” I breathed out, thinking she will scream and be like ‘Are you Zel the celeb’, but she didn’t, only stretch forth her hand for a handshake which I gladly accepted. Maybe she isn’t one of his fan

Jane helped me with sorting other things as we decided to part ways. She mentioned something about coming to get some drugs for her friend in the nearest pharmacy and also stop by the mall to get some things.

She is so friendly to chat with, and she reminds me of Brittany..

 Red Fox Clan~~~

“Argh…guess what” Jane screamed as she thuds on Brittany’s Bed. She rolled her eyes

“You know I’m bad at guessing”

“Owkay…I met someone today….”

“Fine…who is the dude this time…” Brittany scoffs

 

“Come on…don’t be a ki*ll joy..ok..i met this guy at the mall, gosh he is so cute!!!” She squeals. Brittany rolled her eyes

“Seriously Jane…come on..i’m tired of hearing your stories about one guy or the other, just get a boyfriend.”

 

“Fine..you really don’t wanna hear about him..you are such a mood spoiler” Jane pouted sadly

“Hmm…ok..tell me more about him” Brittany stated, lying on her stomach as she watch Jane grin, ready to spill all out. Jane explained all to her, how she saw him staring at your ladies things without knowing what to buy and so on

 

“You said it already…he was there to buy things for his babe…”

“No..he said she is just a friend..so I might have a chance.”

“So did you get his number?”

 

“Gosh..damnit..I didn’t…but he told me he lives around there…so I will be going to the mall everyday from now on….!!! I will get to see him again, and when I do, I won’t hesitate to tie the knot”

“And his name…”Brittany asked, already losing interest in what she is saying. She knows Jane; she will only crush for a while and later forget about the poor guy.

 

“His name is Axel…” she stated as a cold chill ran down Brittany’s spine as she mentioned that name. She became lost in thought not until Jane jerks her

“What?

“You zoned out”

 

“Oh sorry…I was just about asking about the pills”

Jane has been the one getting the pills for her as she is still under guard; macho disapproves of her going out, so Jane had to use the trick of getting her some toiletries while the pills are secretly packaged inside it.

 

“I got it here…is Macho still at it..when will you be free…I’m scared of getting caught you know”

“You won’t be, only if you are careless..but please don’t be. I don’t wanna get pregnant now..that’s bullshit”

 

“Are you going to meet Brad tonight?” Jane asked

“Perhaps…” She shrugged. Jane sighed

“You need to really be careful about meeting with him too, you might get caught, and people might find out.”

“No one will find out”

“But I did”

 

“Well, that’s because you are really close to me…but wait a sec..how did you even find out about us”

“I have been having some doubts about it, not until I saw you both made out here in your room. The day after we visited Nora in the room, I pretended to be sleeping that morning when Brad came in and I caught the glimpse of him kissing you. I have been watching you both ever since then, and it confirmed my curiosity.”

 

“But you didn’t tell me about this..”

“And you didn’t bother telling me about it even when I’m your best friend” Jane rolled her eyes. Brittany sighs

 

“I’m sorry..i just don’t want to get into trouble..that’s why we decided to keep it secret”

“Fine..it’s ok…just don’t get caught”

“And Mister handsome is back…welcome Axel” Audrey stated, going to hug him. Ariel fumed from where she sat as Axel quickly breaks the hug.

“Hey..is lunch ready..gosh I’m damn starving” he muttered. Paulo took out the things he bought. Taking them into the house as Ariel stood up angrily, stumping her feet on the stairs as she went into her room

 

They duo looked her direction and shrug

“What’s wrong with her?” Axel asked, talking a seat on the dinning as Audrey serves him

“I don’t know; she has been acting strange since she woke up.” She muttered, pouring the drink for him

“Thanks” he mumbled, telling her that’s it’s enough.

Ariel was sitting on her bed when Axel walked in. He had promised himself not to get angry at her, being that he has a clue on why she behaved that way, earlier on.

“Hey…what’s up” he asked, walking closet as he dropped the bag filled with the things he got for her, on the bed. Ariel didn’t say a word

 

“You look angry..what’s wrong” he asked in his calmest voice

“Why wouldn’t I be angry when you lock me up in this cranky house, alone with some ugly slut, who couldn’t even check her dressing well in the mirror before coming here..huhnn” She snapped, folding her arms. Axel arched his brows

 

“Is there anything wrong with that..i’m sorry for not telling you that I was leaving though, you were still in bed. And I had to call Audrey to make our meal.. she is a friend I made here in Texas city, and I trust her alone to make my meals”

 

“But you don’t care about her flimsy dressed?”

“Come on…fine..i had tried convincing her to put on something that covers her a bit..but she sees nothing wrong in her dressing..i don’t mind. And mind you, she isn’t ugly..”

 

“Are you supporting her now”

“Where are you getting with all this Ariel…don’t tell me you are getting jealous”

“I’m not…I just don’t like her…”

“Why…because of her dress or because she hugged me?” He snapped. He just hits the points..he wants to confirm his curiosity

“F**k…just forget about it”

“You said that about Minji too… I thought we are friends Ariel..and promised not to get on each other”

“Just don’t go there anymore…I need my phone..i can’t find it” Ariel blurted out, trying to change the topic. She is currently boiling with rage and doesn’t know why she is feeling this angry. Has Axel finally transferred his anger trait to her, or what’s going on? Her heart beat is going crazy too

 

“I seized it…I’m sorry..but you won’t be using it for a while?”

“What!!” Ariel shriek, staring daggers at him

“Yes…I don’t want you reaching anyone out there…I really need my peace and don’t want any f**king disturbances. I have turned off mine too… I’m still trying to push behind my heartbreak and acts strong. Please don’t being up the bad side of me” he yelled

 

“I don’t get this…it’s mine, you don’t have the right to take it from me”

“it’s for our own good Ariel…very soon you will be tempted to tell anyone where we are..and I don’t want that. I gave you a choice to come with me or not.. and you choose to come..so please keep my laws” he resorted

 

“Damnit…f**k you” She shouted, sitting angrily on the bed, as none of them spoke a word for a few minute.

“Hmm…Ariel..i’m sorry…but you just need to understand why I’m doing this..i want you to be safe. Remember that we are alone here…there is no guard to help kick a$$ for us during time of danger..we can’t risk anyone knowing that we are here” he stated after seconds of silence.

 

“I’m sorry for yelling too..i just can’t do without the phone..i miss everyone..i need to speak with Mia…” she sobs

“It’s ok…you will get use to it for the few times we will stay here…”

“I got you some things from the mall..you can check it out later….” He mumbled and stood up to leave

 

“Axel….” She called

“Yes?”

“I will make tomorrow’s meal”

“Oh..i really don’t want you to stress yourself…but if you insist” he shrug. He doesn’t wanna ask her if she could cook, because he hasn’t seen her do so for once. And if she could, it will be the delicacies prepared in Africa; how then does she wanna cook American meals
