“Naipeza ba-m-bo finally!” Bwalya shouted as he danced with one of the girls.

She moved close to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek, then she turned around, bent over and began to twerk on Bwalya… he was already in the mood, the alcohol was working as he touched her behind and began to grind his privates into her behind like his life dependent on it.

At this point he didn’t care who he was taking home, he just had to take someone home. The girl danced her way to the floor and then Bwalya got on top of her and began dancing like a mad man.

“Get a room! Get a room! Get a room!” People began shouting as they watched them dance.

“Hey babe!” Peter said as he walked in. Chongolo was seated watching TV.

“Hey hun!” She exclaimed, “Did you manage?”

“Nope, I even went as far as the clubs which he frequents but everyone said he hadn’t been their. Maybe we over thinking, his not even drinking.” Peter said as he picked up his shoes and walked to the bedroom.

“I thought I was going to find you with Euince!” He shouted from the room.

“She really wanted to go in his room, am sure she wanted to search the room like I used to every time I visited you.” Chongolo giggled as she stood at the door.

“Yeah, you made your visits feel like inspections. Had to make sure my socks were clean.” Peter responded with a giggle.

“I just hope he didn’t leave anything laying around that will cause a fight.” Peter said as Chongolo walked over and leaned over her.

.

.

Just as they were playing married, Peters phone rang, it was Max calling. He had found a bunch of missed call alerts the moment he switched on his phone.

MAX: “Is everything alright?”

PETER: “Hey Max, all is well. We wanted to find out weather Bwalya is with you or not…”

MAX: “Oh! sorry but his not with me. He left an hour ago. Is there something going on?”

PETER: “You also don’t know?”

MAX: “Know what?”

PETER: “Eunice is in your room right now waiting for Bwalya.”

MAX: “That’s impossible, I clearly heard her say she’s coming on Sunday.”

PETER: “Well, that’s not what happened. It seems like she planned on surprising the surprised dude.”

MAX: “This sounds bad and am guessing Bwalya isn’t home yet… I need to switch off my phone.”

PETER: “Do you have any idea where he can be…?”

MAX: “He said something about meeting his colleagues from work. Am sure they half drunk by now.”

PETER: “I went there earlier but everyone I asked said they hadn’t seen him.”

MAX: “That means you went there a bit earlier than him, that’s why he wasn’t there. Anyway, am switching off my phone again. What ever will happen will happen.”

Just after that Max cut the line, Peter’s phone was on loud speaker and Chongolo had heard clearly what Max had said.

“I don’t think going for him will do any good.” Peter said.

“I just hope he won’t be bringing another one of his desperate girls home.” Chongolo added.

Bwalya was done, his step when walking was lost, the sausages and chicken were still frying at the brai stand and the place was more packed than it was before.

He found his way to his friends, one of them passed him a bottle which he emptied in one sip.

“Iwe! Iwe (you) those dances kwati (like) you in the bedroom.” One of the guys says as he tapped Bwalya’s shoulder to boost him.

“Ine teti (Me I can’t) I can end up watering my jeans.” Another one commented as they all laughed.

Each one was with a girl except Bwalya whose eyes had now turned red and his mating instinct had risen. He looked around trying to see if the lady that worked their could be seen… but she wasn’t anywhere.

“Give us iwe!!!” The guys all shouted as the lady that was dancing with Bwalya came to were they he stood.

“Baby tamule nshitilako kamo (You not buying one for me)?” She whispered in his ears seductively.

“You know I gat you girl. Watwishiba shani!” He responded as he signed one of the guys to pass him two bottled of alcohol.

“So how is it going to be tonight? I want us to fight.” Bwalya said to her, at this point his hand was over her neck as he spoke to her.

“Don’t worry daddy. Today am going to be your baby and you will do everything you want to me.” She said as she kissed him.

When the guys saw this they all held in excitement knowing that it was now a done deal for their friend, he was getting laid for the night.

.

.

.

“Bwalya’s phone is still off! Dammit!” He said furiously.

“You seem worked up, is it because of the Doris girl? I mean, if she’s affected you that much then you should meet her and talk face to face…” Samuel said suggestively.

“Its not that. Teuyuwine (isn’t it this) Bwalya! He said he wasn’t drinking but nope, his drowned himself in the bottle.” Max said filled with anger.

“Am not surprised at all, its like every time his with the-so-called colleagues of his… getting drunk is the only thing they do.” Samuel comment.

“I’ve given up, ine (me) I don’t know what to tell him even. Palya ali (were he is) his got qualifications and qualifications, but instead of doing something with all his papers ubwalya bwalimuteka infine (alcohol has enslaved him) and now his genius girlfriend his home waiting for him right now!” Max shouted. Just because of his friend, he had ended up losing his cool as well.

“Genius girlfriend! what you mean?” Samuel asked.

“Bwalya’s girlfriend is at my place right now waiting for Bwalya…”

“I’ve gotten that part already. What you mean by genius?” He noted.

“Oh, I said that? well, Bwalya’s girlfriend is the slim in that recent Boom advert.” Max said carelessly.

Samuel wasn’t shocked, instead he was puzzled, he had this look on his face that said ‘system error’ as he tried to fix the pieces of the board.

“I don’t believe that.” He laughed, “If that’s you trying to be funny then nope! you picked the wrong day to be funny. How? When? Where? I mean, What!” Samuel said as fast as his mouth could utter words.

“Yes, that’s actually Bwalya’s girlfriend, they’ve dated for 3 years now if am not mistaken.” Max added.

“I have a crush on that girl, she’s Eunice something something ain’t she?” He asked.

“Yes. that’s her name. I didn’t know you still do donki.” Max said as he looked at his friend.

“Hey don’t judge me. We all know she’s hot. So let’s not try pointing fingers apa. How on earth did Bwalya land a girl like her? It just doesn’t add up. Did he smoke her up?” Samuel asked curiously.

“That’s a long story but nah, he didn’t smoke her up as you out it.”

“But have never heard him talk about her… not even once. how come?” Samuel asked once again.

“Well the reason is simple, the same way you have reacted after knowing that our Clinical Officer friend is dating her is the same way he feels when he thinks of telling people.” Max said as he switched off his phone.

“Oh! now that you put it that wat is really makes sense.”

.

.

.

“This is strange…” Maluba said as she stood up.

“What’s strange?” Rose asked.

“The guys seeing the TV on and not coming to check whose in the living room. Its not like them.” Maluba said.

“And where do you think you going?” Rose asked.

“Am going to check who just entered their room.” She said.

Eunice was just seated on the bed playing Candy Crush, she had done all the checking she needed and everything seemed just to be fine. Which was strange.

Maluba carefully knocked on the door as she waited for a response. In excitement Eunice got up from the bed and tip toed her way to the door thinking it was Bwalya. However when she opened the door it wasn’t.

“Hi…”

“Hey.” Eunice responded as she tried to get herself together.

“Sorry I thought it was Max. Am Maluba… from next door.” She said as she tried to construct sensible sentences.

“Oh! hi… am Eunice, Bwalya’s girlfriend.” She responded.

“Nice to meet you. Sorry for disturbing.” Maluba said as she went back to the TV room.

Just like Samuel reacted when he was told about Euince…Maluba reacted in the same manner.

“Why you look lost. Whose there?” Rose asked.

“Do you know that slim lady in the boom advert?” Maluba asked.

“Which one? I’ve seen a lot of adverts by boom.”

“Okay, when you entering Kabwe at the road-about there…” Before she could even finish her sentence Rose jumped in.

“You mean that lady whose rumoured to be an Economist?” She asked.

“I don’t know about that but I think she might be the one.” Maluba responded thoughtfully.

“What has she done?”

“She’s the one in the room. And she just said she’s Bwalya’s girlfriend.” Maluba said sounding a bit disappointed at it.

“I asked him if he was dating, and you know what his response was? When I start dating I will let you know… his such **** I hate him.” She exclaimed bitterly.

“Why you trying to cause an earthquake? The guy didn’t even propose to you.” Rose said as she giggled.

“I know! It’s just that I thought he was one of the good guys.” She sighed heavily.

.

.

.

“Guys! Thanks for the alcohol mwaumfwa! Naya, first tushaneko…” He said as he walked back and forth just to find his balance.

“Nailwala lelo ka?” One of the guys asked.

“Kale yalwala ifwe muntuwandi. Ever ready for the fight.” He giggled as he did a fist bump with another lady that sat on the laps of one of the guys.

All that was left was for the lady he was dancing with to catch up with him and they were off to his place.
