SOPHIA POV

My eyes were fixed on Alberto as he talked to ragner over the phone… ragner is his personal investigator.

“Ok… take care”Alberto said as he ended the call

“What did he say?”i asked anxiously

“Hmmm… there’s nothing much, everything’s still normal”Alberto n’ i sighed not in relief but in worry

“I still don’t feel good about this”I said

“Just calm down ok…I believe nothing bad will happen”Alberto said assuringly

“What if… what if… what if blade finds out she’s a Dixon?”I asked as a cold chill ran down my spine.

“He won’t find out,i have everything under control”Alberto said

“What about dex? How’s the search for him been going?”

“We’ve not heard anything from the men… I’m sure dex died”I furrowed my brows at Alberto that instant

“Dead?” I asked and he nodded

“You n’ i know very well that dex didn’t die. If he were dead we’d have seen his body around the house, there’s no way he would’ve gone far…he got three bullets Alberto…three bullets!”i said emphasizing more stress on the ‘three bullet’ part.

“And don’t you forget, his blood led to nowhere. It stopped at a spot”i said and Alberto shuddered

“Let’s just keep believing that he’s still alive”Alberto said.

☄️ Aphrodite pov ☄️

Sir lenkings is throwing a get together party at his hotel tomorrow night n’ all the staff of blenkings were invited. The good news is, we’re free to come over with our friends and families. I invited mom and dad but they refused my invitation even after several hours of pleading with them.

“Hey girl, how do i look on this gown?”Nicole said coming out of the dressing room. I actually invited them to the party and they accepted happily, right now we’re shopping for dinner gowns for the party…all bills on our shopping fr**k Godiva.

“Beautiful…”I smiled. Indeed it was beautiful,it was a black short gown with hanging sleeves.

 

“Thanks”she smiled and rushed back into the dressing room. Immediately she left,my phone beeped n’ i scrolled to my messages

<b>my goddess… how are you doing?

I smiled after reading that…wow! He took out time to send me a text.

‘i’m ok and you? Hope your day’s been good?’i sent. Almost immediately, his text came again

nah… it’s boring

‘why’i sent.

<b>I’m missing you vadly. Wish i knew i wouldn’t have given you a day off or better still,you would’ve had your day off on my desk all through.

 

I blushed real hard after reading this part…

‘i know…’

<b> Gosh you look f**king hot in that white trousers and crop top… it’s pretty.

My eyes widened,i quickly looked around to see if i’ld catch a glimpse of him but hell no! He’s not close by… but how’d he know I’m putting on white trousers and crop top…this man is full of surprises!

‘how’d you know what am wearing? Are you stalking me or what?’

<b> i’ll choose or what because i don’t stalk baby girl.

‘then how’d you know where i am?’ I texted

<b> I never said i knew where you are did I?

‘come on,if you were able to know what I’m wearing then you’ll surely know where i am’

 

<b> well if you want to know that bad then i’ll tell you. You’re at QUEENS WEARS.

 

 

That’s exactly the name of the boutique I’m in.

‘how’d you know?’

<b>I’m a man of means darling,i get what i want at the exact time i want it.

I smiled and typed

‘really?’

<b> yeah goddess.

 

“What are you smiling at Aphrodite?” Godiva’s voice jolted me back to reality,i quickly tried hide my phone away from her but she already snatched it away before i could make any move. Her eyes widened on seeing the texts

“A guy’s hitting on you already”Godiva said giving my phone back to me.

“Get away you big head!”I said n’ rolled my eyes at her.

“Whatever…i got a gown for you since you refuse to pick for yourself”She smiled and threw a silver coloured gown at me.

“Go try it on girly” she said and walked into the second dressing room.

Can’t believe Nicole’s still changing clothes like she wants to buy the whole store. I took off my trousers and crop top then carefully put on the gown,i smiled at what I’m seeing. It’s a body fitting gown, off shoulders to be precised, cute shiny silver coloured feathers lined the edge of the shoulder region and the button which was a few inch above my knee level. Parts of my back down to my waist was exposed due to the fact that It was a lace-up dress.

“So pretty” I smiled as i turned left to take a look at my backside. My figure was really revealed in this gown maybe now i see why godiva and Nicole often pest me with all those you’re so curvy stuff…humph!

“Wow!” Godiva exclaimed immediately she saw me coming out of the dressing room.

“Isn’t it too revealing?”i asked and Nicole who was already by her side eyed me.

“Miss are you gonna be naive forever?”Nicole asked

“But look at the backside, it’s too revealing and the back is too open… I’m gon’ look like a prostitute…” I complained

“Miss you can add this to the others, we’re buying it”Godiva pointed at the dress i was putting on.

“Ok ma’am” the girl answered. I rolled my eyes and walked back to the dressing room. I Know Nicole won’t take no for an answer.

Godiva went ahead to pick two silver shoes, both of them for me. One was had wedge heels and the other was an 8 inches stilleto heels. When we were done, everything was packed up and Godiva paid the bills.
