Liam stared intently at Kadence. Her wet hair stick dangerously on her face plus her red pouted lips were slightly parted…

Liam removed some strands of her hair and tugged it behind her ear. He blinked back to reality and quickly retracted his hand from her face.

“Never knew you guys were coming here” Emma said, coming out of the pool. She picked up a towel and tied it round her body.

“Well we just wanted to cool down our body.”Eric replied to her. He scurried his brows when he saw Kaitlyn getting out of the water too.

“Since when did she start mingling with you?” Eric asked, referring to Kaitlyn

“People change Eric” Kadence replied coming out of the waters.

She squeezed out the water in her hair and picked up her towel drying her hair before tying it round her body…

“Finally Liam is here guys!!” Connor said entering with Sophia. The other followed behind.

“Liam!!” Lisa exclaimed and ran to him then jumped on his back.

“You deserve a good beating but I’ll reserve it for now. How can you hide something as important as you birthday” Lisa said and hit his head.

“Ouch…”Liam rubbed his head

“Birthday?” Kadence wondered out loud.

“Yeah, tomorrow is this fools birthday. I thought he told you…So you didn’t even tell your girlfriend? Shame on you Liam, shame….” Connor said disappointedly.

“Kadence is not my girlfriend” Liam murmured…

Lisa got down his back and ruffled his hair. If it was back in the demon kingdom, people would habe been scared to even look at him but look at him now, they treat him like…like…like family!

“So what are the plans for tomorrow?” Romeo asked.

“Since we aren’t allowed to throw parties in school. Let’s organize a small party here with only us as the guests.” Emma suggested.

“Great idea” Gideon said.

“I don’t know if I’ll make it guys” Kaitlyn suddenly said.

“Why?!” They all chorused.

Liam looked at her, he suddenly felt bad. All along he’s trying to ki*ll her or to make her join the other side but she’s among those who care about him. How ironical!!

“Well you know everything since the demon attack me. The security of my room is really tight and strict, I’m not sure if they’ll let me leave my room at night.” Kaitlyn said…

“That’s bad. Don’t worry, we’ll keep a piece of cake for you” Sophia said, comforting her.

“Since when did they become friends with the princess?” Connot whispered to Romeo.

“I don’t know, let’s pretend like we know” Gideon whispered back.

“I’m hungry!! Let’s go grab a bite!” Sophia groaned, leading the way…

On their way to the canteen, Zara was coming from the opposite direction. She walked pass Liam who gave her the ‘if you dare open your mouth you’re dead’ look…

“He’s the spy, but no one knows. Not even Kadence” Zara kept wondering…

“Are you ready to talk or not?” Coach Travis interrogated the vampire they succeeded in capturing.

“I know nothing about what you guys are saying” The vampire said weakly….

Travis smirked and clicked on a button. The roof automatically opened allowing sunlight to touch the vampire…

“Ahh!!!!!!” He screamed in agony as the sun burnt his skin. The roof closed back.

“You better just ki*ll me for I’m not talking” The vampire said. That really annoyed Travis as he made his fire burn him.

“Travis stop, you’ll ki*ll him” Miss Lucy said holding his arm.

He calmed down and made his flame dissipate.

Principal Michael was in his office with a lot of files infront of him which he need to attend to.

Suddenly, the door to his office swung open. He looked up but couldn’t see someone enter.

Michael looked back to the files he was working on but he suddenly felt a presence in the office, like a shadow flew to the other end of the room.

“I know you’re here” Principal Michael said, placing his pen on the table.

Footsteps were heard and immediately after, a structure appeared from tge shadow.

Someone was standing in front of him with a red cloak covering the whole of its body…

“How did you manage to know? Wanted to surprise you” The person replied.

Though the face wasn’t visible, one could tell that it was a female through the voice plus her lips were seen and it was painted red just like her cloak.

“Any news of what is happening in the demon kingdom?” Principal Michael asked pouring something in a glass, it was blood. He handed it to the lady…

“Well…I have one revelation for you. I’m sure you must be thinking that I’m the black cloaked demon,, but no I’m not. The black cloaked demon is the prince of the demon kingdom, imagine how strong he is” The lady said and drank the blood in the glass then licked her lips…

“The prince?? That’s bad news” Principal Michael said worriedly…

“Well it depends…” She muttered and smiled.

“We succeeded in capturing a vampire but it looks like he won’t speak.” Principal Michael said

“Oh really?… Take me to him or her” The lady said. Principal Michael stood up and led the way through the secret passage in his office.

Principal Michael walked in the room and met Travis with Lucy in the room.

“He still doesn’t want to talk?” Principal Michael asked..

“Yeah” Travis replied.

“Leave it to me” The lady walked pass them and stood in front of the cage of the vampire.

“She’s a”

“Don’t worry, she’s on our team” Principal Michael cut Travis off.

The lady in red sent her hand across the cage and then grabbed the vampire by the neck then pulled him closer, slamming the vampire to the cage…

“Are you ready to talk?” The lady growled as her fangs came out…

The vampire looked at her in shock. She couldn’t believe his eyes, a vampire betrayed the king. Who was she??

Liam stood at the rooftop, watching the sunset. Tomorrow was the worst day of his life, the day he was born. The day he was born as a demon.

The queen of the demon kingdom died while giving birth to him and his brother..

“How will tomorrow look like” He muttered to himself.

“It will be fun and super cool and amazing and….lots more” Kadence but in, while walking to him.

He looked at her then smiled before looking back at the sunset.

“Kitty about what happened at the ball”

“No, it’s okay. I can’t force you to love me so it’s cool, we’re still friends. I’ll just try to forget about my feelings for you” Kadence replied and smiled…

“What if I don’t” He whispered.

“What did you say?” Kadence frowned.

“Nothing” Liam replied and looked front.

Kadence placed her head on Liam’s shoulder as a sad expression settled on her face.

“Why can’t you love me back?” She thought sadly…

Next Day, 07:12pm**

“I hope your eyes are well closed. No cheating” Kadence said, guiding Liam to the sports room.

“Yeah, I promise” Liam chuckled.

They walked in the room and the stopped on their way…

“You can open them” Kadence smiled.

He opened his eyes and smiled…

“Happy birthday Liam!!” They chorused.

“Thanks a lot guys” Liam replied with a smile on his lips. He was unaware that he was still holding Kadence’s hand.

“I’m here for the cake, not for the birthday boy” Kaitlyn said, walking in.

“You came!” Emma smiled.

Sophia brought the cake to Liam and smiled…

“Make a wish then blow this candle” Sophia smiled.

“All I will ever wish for is in front of me” Liam smiled looking at his friends. He really feels complete beside them…

“Awwn that’s sweet” Nora gushed cutely.

“Just like you” Gideon pinched her cheek. She blushed and looked away in embarrassment.

“What are we waiting for? Let’s eat!!” Eric exclaimed.

Since it was just a little party among them, not much was prepared. They all sat round the table while chatting happily and lively…

Liam sneaked out and looked at them before smiling especially while looking at Kadence.

“Time to put my plan into execution.” He muttered and then put on his Black cloak before walking away.

The little party continue with T or D. They all sat round and Connor couldn’t help buy notice.

“Where’s Liam?” He asked.

“We can start the game without the birthday boy.” Eric said.

“I’ll go look for him” Kadence stood up and left in search of Liam.

“Liam!!…where did he go?” Kadence pouted.

She continued searching for him. Suddenly, she felt a presence behind.

Her heart skipped several beats when she saw the demon behind her standing there looking at her.

“Are you here to finally ki*ll me?” Kadence muttered and stood, reading to fight.

The demon walked towards her direction. She quickly launched at him, throwing punches at him but he swiftly dodged it.

Kadence wondered why he wasn’t fighting back?! Before she knew it, he grabbed her wrist then pulled her closer to him holding her waist in the process…

“Let me go!” Kadence struggled, this fight was really getting embarrassing.

Kadence blinked her eyes and opened them back to see that they were outside. The cool breeze blew on her hair making it flow. They were standing at a hilltop where the moon was clearly visible…

The demon released her and took a step away before removing his cap.

Kadence eyes widened when she saw who was hiding behind the cloak…

“Liam” She whispered, still too shocked to move.
