DEMON KINGDOM**

Reina appeared in front of the palace with Zara. Zara walked front and stared at the building in front of her even the aura here was completely different and kinda menacing.

“Follow me” Reina said and began walking in.

The vampires she met on her way bowed down at her. Zara looked at Reina in surprise. She never knew she was that important in the demon world.

They walked into a room where a man’s back was seen.

“Your highness” Reina said and the man turned back. She bowed down.

Khalil nodded with his gaze fixed on Zara.

“Who’s she?” He asked.

“She’s a student of Diamond High and wishes to join us. I thought it will be a good idea to have an ally with us.” Reina said.

Khalil smiled and looked back Zara.

“That’s a great idea” Khalil said.

“I thought that since we can’t turn her to a demon maybe we’ll turn her to a vampire and then-”

“Leave us” Khalil said.

“As you wish your highness” Reina bowed and turned to Zara.

“Behave yourself or else you’re dead” Reina muttered and left the room.

Khalil took slow steps towards Zara and stopped right in front of her.

“Tell me what’s your name?” He whispered…

“Zara” She muttered with trembling lips.

Khalil caressed her cheek with the back of her palms making her flinch back.

“C’mon relax. I don’t bite… Well I do but only when you look for my trouble” Khalil whispered and smiled.

Khalil snapped his fingers and a vampire appeared beside them.

“Sorry sweetie, this will hurt a little” Khalil said and winked at her.

Before she could process what was happening to her, she felt something pierce through her skin.

“Ahh!!!” Zara let out a painful cry. The man then released her.

Zara lost consciousness and began falling but Khalil caught her before she could fall…

“You may leave now” Khalil said.

The vampire licked off the blood from his lips and bowed before leaving. Khalil looked down at Zara and could already see the venom spreading through her body.

“Be lucky Zara. You’re the first lady I’ve ever carried” Khalil said and carried her up teleporting to his room with her.

“Where’s Zara?” Kadence asked.

She searched the whole school for Zara but couldn’t see her. She feels like she has to talk to her or else something bad will happen.

“Why are you looking for that troublemaker” Emma sighed, following her behind.

“I just want to see her. I kinda feel bad for her…” Kadence pouted.

“Maybe she’s not in school. Just let her be, she’ll come over it when she’s ready” Emma said and held her shoulder.

Kadence sighed and stopped searching for Zara.

“Come, let’s go and prepare. Tomorrow is our trip remember and then the day after tomorrow is the ball!! I don’t know which gown to wear” Emma kept talking and talking while they walked away.

WEDNESDAY •

“Are you all ready?” Coach Travis asked.

“Yes Sir” They chorused.

Three teachers were supposed to accompany them but Mr Mark felt ill so it’s just Miss Lucy and coach Travis.

“Alright, we’re about to leave. I’m going to mark the attendance list. Simply answer to your name and get in the car” Travis said and began reading names…

“Yes mom, I know I’m behaving and I’m fine too… No need to worry” Kadence spoke to ximena through the phone.

“Where’s Zara, I’ve been calling her but she isn’t answering” Ximena asked while stirring the soup she was cooking…

Kadence looked round and finally spotted Zara who was entering the bus.

“Well you know how moody she use to be” Kadence sighed and crossed her hand under her chest.

“Alright. Please keep and eye on her…she might be older than you but you act more maturely than her” Ximena said wiping her hand on the apron.

“Sure thing mom..” Kadence smiled.

“Kadence Martins” Coach Travis called.

“Alright mom, have to go. Bye!!” She kissed the phone and hung up.

“Present!” She raised her hand walking to the bus.

Kadence was dressed in a white spotless top which she fit in inside a black army colored bum short plus brown boots and then tied her hair up in a pony tail making it sweep her back.

“Let me help you” Gideon helped Kadence to get in the bus before he entered too.

Kadence and Zara’s gaze met, they looked at each other for a while before Zara looked front.

“She’s….different” Kadence thought and sat down on the fifth seat.

Zara looked down at the necklace on her neck. It was a black pendant with a ruby at the middle.

Flashbacks ~~

Zara groaned and jerked up on the bed. Her appearance was super scary with blue and green veins all over her body, even her face wasn’t spared.

“You’re awake” Khalil spoke with a glass of wine in his hand. He was standing by the window looking at her.

Zara’s chest rose and fell like she ran several miles.

“What’s happening to me?” Zara managed to say.

“Your body is undergoing a transformation process. I know what will help you…” Khalil said and made his nail became long.

He sliced his arm, creating a deep wound in it. Blood was dripping from it…

“Here, feed yourself” Khalil stretched his hand to Zara.

She looked at it and surprisingly didn’t find it repulsive. She held his hand and quickly dug her fangs into his wound, sucking blood from it.

Once she quenched her thirst for blood, she released him and slowly wiped off the blood on her mouth.

The greenish and blue veins began disappearing making her skin to become normal again. Her red eyes shun brightly as she opened them…

“Now you’re a vampire. Your only source of food is blood but there’s one weak point in you. The sunlight.” Khalil said and brought out the pendant then wore it on her.

“Here, wear this every time. This will protect you from the sun burns” Khalil said and smiled. He rubbed her cheek with the back of his hand.

“You have to know, this is a journey of no return. If you ever dare betray me, I promise I’ll personally ki*ll you with my own two hands.” Khalil whispered in her ears.

“As you wish Master” Zara replied…

“Good” He smiled and lifted her face up, slowly kissing her..

End of flashback ~~

Zara turned and looked at Kadence then glared at her so much that her eyes changed colors but quickly turned back to normal.

Kadence was busy in her phone texting with Pamela while playing music through her ear pieces when someone sat down beside her. She didn’t even notice it…

Suddenly a text came into her phone. It was a text from Liam.

I’m sorry but I couldn’t make it. I’m seriously sick

Kadence quickly looked out of the window to see if by chance he was outside. She turned to her left and was surprised to see him sitting by her side.

“That’s not funny! I thought something bad happened to you” Kadence frowned and hit his shoulder.

“So that’s how much you care about me? I’m flattered” Liam smiled and poked her cheek.

“I think we’re complete here, let the trip begin” Travis said and sat down. The driver roared the engine to life and drove off…

Zara smiled while watching Kadence and Liam discuss

“Laugh and chat all you can for you don’t know what awaits you all at the end of this trip” Zara smiled devilishly.

“Let’s not forget about the ball of tomorrow” Reina said. She was sitting beside her.

“Oh yeah! Tomorrow is sure gonna be a blood bath” Zara laughed lightly…
