I looked at Emerald, then I looked at jack again, I was about to look away when I saw Kelvin coming

Good timing

“Jack, why don’t you bully your boys instead ” I grinned and he gave me a crazy look

“What? ”

“cos you are gonna regret when my brother lay his hand on you ” I said and he was about to punch me when Kelvin caught his hand

“Kelvin ” Emerald smiled

“Leave them to me and take Keith away” he said and emerald helped me stood on my feet

As we both walked down the street, there was grave silence

“Keith, are you….. ” she didn’t complete her statement

“I will take care of Jack myself, stay away from this ” I said without looking at her

“Why should I stay away? Why can’t I protect you ?” she asked but I didn’t reply then she grab my hand

“I…….I……want to protect you Keith” she said and I jerked her hand away

“Who said I need your protection? You are the one who needs someone to protect you, fool ” I yelled at her and she froze

“I’m sorry ” she stared at the ground
“All i want is for you to stay away from me! ” I whispered yelled

“Why? ”

Because I want to protect you

“Because I hate you!” I said and tears dripped from her eyes

I’m sorry for making you cry

She wiped her tears and walked away

The next day….

“Emerald, why do you keep on drinking? ” Reyna asked , we were all in a bar

“That’s right, why did you bring us to a bar? ” Bryan asked

“I’ve never seen her drinking before ” Wendy added

“I think I know what’s wrong with her” Reyna snapped her finger

“It’s obviously because of Keith, what did he say to you this time ” Bryan bang his hand on the table

“He never said that word to me before ” I stared at the bottle of alcohol

“word? Which word?” Wendy asked

I hate you

“it’s nothing ” I faked a smile

“but why? Why is he doing that to me? I love him, I want to protect him but he said he doesn’t want my protection ” I said and Reyna shook her head

“What the hell is she saying? ” Wendy asked

Kelvin

I was in the car making a phone call when I saw Emerald staggering out of a bar

I came down from the car and walked to her

She was drunk
“Oh, it’s Kelvin ” she giggled and wanted to fall but I held her

“I Love him but why is it so hard for him to love me back ” she said drunkenly

“he is such a jerk!! Keith! Did you say you hate me! ? I hate you too ” She yelled out and everyone was starring at her

“Let me take you home ” I said but she didn’t move

“I’m not going home not until Keith apologizes! ” she said and sat on the floor

“Emerald, I will make sure Keith apologizes, let’s go home ” I said and she looked at me

“Really? You are going to make Keith apologize?

After taking her home, I walked to Keith’s room and but he wasn’t inside

I was about to leave when his phone beeped , it was an unread message

Although Keith doesn’t like other people checking his text, this very text drew my attention

‘Let go of that girl or more dangerous things will happen ‘

I covered my mouth with shock

The door opened and he entered

“What are you doing with my phone ” he said and jerked it away from me

“What the hell is this? Were you being threatened? ” I asked and he glared at me

“How is that any of your business? Stop being nosey and get out of my room ” he said and laid on the bed

“why are you still seeing emerald? ” I asked but he ignored me

“I already told you , I love that girl ” I added and he stood up from the bed and moved closer to me

“You do not love her, you are only crushing on her ” he smirked

“What do you mean? ”

“Crush is either stop or go, but I will advise you to stop Kelvin, because that girl only belongs to me ” he said and I narrowed my eyes at him

“If she belongs to you then why aren’t you protecting her?, if you can’t protect her, then let me do it ” I said and he grinned

“What are you trying to say right now? ” he asked and I moved my mouth closer to his ear

“This time, I’m going after emerald ”
