The compound was mostly calm especially during weekdays.She went into the passage leading to the rooms,she knocked on one and opened the door. “Mummy,good evening”she greeted her mother,Mrs Roseline Achuonu, who was lying on the bed and using her phone.Her mother looked at her,”Nne you’re back.How was school?”she asked,her eyes already going back to her phone. “it was fine.Market?”Kosi replied “As usual.I’ve not cooked dinner and there’s no food so what do you want to eat?” She smiled,she loved moments like this.She entered fully and leaned against the wall saying,”Just give me 500″she said.Her mother eyed her playfully,”500?We’ll soon eat dinner oo” she laughed “I know but just give it to me,please”she pleaded. “Take it from my purse”her mother gave in but she was already on her way there.Taking the money,she walked back to the door,”Thank you”she said,closing the door behind her.Walking back to her room,her mother shouted after her,”Make sure you take your bath first oo because i know you”
