**STILL ON FLASHBACK**

My feets were soiled. I had been running for hours now. Thankfully, I found a express road but there were no cars on it so I kept running hoping and praying someone might find me. I don’t care what I’ll have to do to leave the country. I know I’ll run. I will. By now, the men must have noticed I’m missing. I’m sure of it.

Van would be alerted and if I know him as well as I do, he’ll have everyone looking for me. A state manhunt if possible. That only means I have a slim window to escape so I can’t stop now. I just have to keep running.

The ground felt so comfortable at this moment, it looked like a bed. My instincts were telling me not to stop but my body had already given up. I just wanted to slump and sleep on the ground. I felt so tired and dizzy. So damn tired. Just as my eyes were to shut tightly, a dim light shone on them. Are those headlights?

I felt a rush of andrenalin in me. Waving my hands as high as I could, I prayed for rescue. The car got closer halting as it sighted. Just then, a thought crept in. What if it was one of Van’s men, what if they found me. My thoughts and prayers were answered. A middle aged man stepped out staring at me. I sighed weakly.

“Help me..”

I muttered before passing out.

***PRESENT TIME**

The office day was slow and extremely boring. Mr O’Cornner hadn’t called since that Incident in his office. I occupied myself with a movie while waiting for further instructions. Just then, the elevator dinged and someone walked out.

“Elena!”

A manly voice screams making me snap my head up. I’ve never seen him in my life although he seems to be well acquainted with Me.

“Oh my God! I’m so glad I found you. I missed you so much my darling. I love you!”

He yelled at the top of his voice.

“I’m sorry. Do I know you?”

I asked chuckling nervously.

“Is that a joke or something my darling?”

“Your darling? I’ve never seen you before.”

I state confused. Almost immediately, Mr O’Cornner steps out of his office and takes the sight in front of him.

“I love you Elena.”

The strange man repeats. I don’t know what to do next. I just stare into Oblivion.
