“Tell Angelo that I love him too and I’m proud of him.. I love you Kaylee, thank you for making me feel loved” Brandon said and slowly, his eyes shut down.

“Brandon? No!! Brandon!!”

<NOELLE’S HOSPITAL>

“Please we just want to interview the witnesses nothing more!”

“Is it true that the business tycoon Diego Wright is a hidden mafia and it’s behind the mass killing happening in our city?”

“Is true that he was in a relationship with Melissa Rodriguez and that his wife actually never díed?”

The reporters kept firing questions as they tried to enter the hospital but the security guards kept stopping them.

Meanwhile, inside the hospital two bodies were actually fighting for their lives- Brandon and Winter.

They were both in the emergency room as the doctor did everything to save their lives. Luckily, the ambulance arrived on time and hence they were rushed to the hospital both barely hanging on to life.

Kaylee could be seen sitting on the seat, crying profusely as Barbie and Cassidy tried to console him.

“He said loves me… After all this while he said those words to me. Brandon please, don’t leave me” Kaylee cried.

Even Glen too was in her own corner, crying uncontrollably. When she remembered the look on Winter’s face, she cried even more.

“I haven’t yet taken you out. We haven’t yet cooked together. I haven’t yet made your hair… I haven’t yet caught up for all the time I failed as a mother.. Winter” Glen cried loudly.

Well Marco díed on the spot. No one could survive 10 bullets on the back.

Harmony ran in with Joanna and Noah. Joanna immediately rushed to Glen.

“Where’s Winter! Where’s my daughter!! Please tell me the news was fake!!” Joanna screamed out but when she saw the tears in Glen’s eyes, she began crying too.

Noah went to comfort her as he fought back his tears.

Harmony sniffed in her tears as she watched the over saddening atmosphere around her.

“Brany… Winter…” She muttered and her eyes widened immediately.

“Where’s Angelo?” She turned to Evan

“He’s at the morgue, he wants to be alone” Evan said and Harmony immediately rushed to the morgue sector of the hospital.

She stopped on her tracks when she saw Angelo standing outside, looking at the glassy window. She slowly walked and stood behind him to see two covered bodies being taken care by the nurses.

No doubt it was Daniel and Melissa’s corpse. Melissa díed on the spot but unfortunately, Daniel passed away on the the road to the hospital.

Same as Diego, he was currently being cremated and the cops were carrying proper investigation in the clan.

“Angelo..” Harmony touched his arm.

“I want to be alone… Please” Angelo said coldly, his gaze never leaving their bodies.

“Angelo, I’m sorry.. I know it hurts but always know that you have a shoulder to lean on.” Harmony said but Angelo didn’t bother sparing her a glance.

“Angelo, please talk to me-” Harmony took his hand but Angelo pushed her off roughly that she almost fell.

“I said I wanted to be alone! What part do you not understand huh? Please just go!! Let me be!! Just let me be!!” Angelo yelled loudly

Harmony looked at his red eyes and instead of leaving, she took a step forward then wrapped her hands round his waist, placing her head on his chest.

“I’ll never leave you” She mumbled.

Angelo’s shoulder fell and he looked down, his shoulder slowly began trembling and before we knew it, tears began dropping from his eyes.

“I couldn’t do anything to save any of them. I know my family isn’t the most perfect of all but they deserved a second chance right. In just a blink of an eye I lost them, and I did nothing at all to help. I’m all alone in this world, what do I do now?” Angelo cried out.

Harmony sniffed as her own tears wetted his shirt.

“You’ll never be alone in this world… You have me” Harmony whispered.

Angelo wrapped his hands tightly around her body then buried his face on her shoulder, crying profusely.

<POLICE STATION>

“It’s okay, you may go now miss” The cop said and Juliet nodded then left with a cold look on her face.

The cops took her to the police station to interrogate her on her killing Marco and at the end, it was concluded that it was an act of defense so she was set free

Despite the heavy rain that was pouring she walked under the rain, her mind in a complete disarray.

Romeo immediately stopped his car and got out in the rain. Juliet looked up at him and looked away then made to walk away

Romeo rushed to her and grabbed her arms, turning her to him.

“Juliet, I’m sorry! I’m sorry okay? I love you and only you, I’ve moved on. Please just-”

Juliet immediately broke down in loud fits of tears and Romeo’s brow furrowed in confusion.

The truth is he searched for her the whole day that be didn’t have time to watch the news.

“Winter… Father… I kílled my dad with own hands” Juliet cried loudly.

“What…” Romeo gasped as he watched her cry loudly.

Romeo slowly pulled her in a hug. He kissed her hair, slowly patting her hair.

“It’s not your fault… Don’t worry I’m here for you, I love you”

“Dad…” Juliet cried.

<HOSPITAL≈8PM>

The hall to the ER was still full as they all waited, hoping for good results.

Evan smiled lightly as he stared at Tasha’s face. She actually dozed off and her head landed on his shoulder

He slowly removed some strands of hair on her face to have a clearer view of her face

“Cute..” He muttered.

The door to the ER opened and the doctors came out.

“Doctor!” Matilda rushed to the doctor.

“How’s my son? Please tell me he’s fine” She asked quickly, fighting back the new round of tears coming up.

“We already treated his wounds and extracted the bullets from his body but unfortunately the wounds were too severe that he slipped into a coma. We’ll continue trying our best ma’am, I’m sorry” The doctor said and Matilda exhaled loudly.

“There’s still hope” Kaylee thought.

“But on the other hand Winter Watkins is totally out of danger. Thank goodness you rushed her to the hospital. We got her wound treated but she lost too much blood so she’ll be needing a blood donor” The doctor said.

“I’ll do it” Glen stood up.

“Good, please follow me ma’am” The doctor said and led the way.

“One good news” Chris muttered and looked at Kaylee. He could feel how scared she was but was trying to keep it all in.

<ANDERSON MANSION>

“We’re here” Angelo said when his car stopped in front of her house.

“Today must really be stressful for you. Go and on and rest Candy” Angelo talked and turned to Harmony only to see she slept off already on her seat

Her head was resting on the car’s window as she slept soundly.

Angelo got down the car before walking to her other side of the car. He opened it and began staring at her for a while.

He didn’t know when a sad smile escape his lips.

“Thanks for everything” He muttered before carrying her in his arms.

Harmony’s parents weren’t around for they left for a meeting last week and since the maids and guards already knew who he was, they let him in.

Angelo walked to Harmony’s room before gently placing her on the bed.

He removed her shoes before covering her with the bed sheets. He made to leave but Harmony held his shirt

“Don’t go… Please stay” Harmony muttered sleepily.

“You need to rest Candy” Angelo said.

“So do you” Harmony mumbled while pouting

Angelo sighed before he laid down on the bed beside her. She immediately wrapped her hands round his waist, placing her head on his chest.

Angelo slowly ran his hands through his hair as he watched her sleep peacefully

“I’m sorry Candy, I’ll have to be breaking one of the promises I made to you” Angelo thought, remembering his talks with his family’s lawyer.

<TWO DAYS LATER≈BURIAL GROUND>

The burial of Daniel was a quiet one. No reporters no the news were seen around, just Angelo and the people close to him.

It was Angelo’s idea. He wanted it be as private as possible that’s why he decided to make it as fast as possible too.

He was clad in black with Harmony and Romeo standing beside him, wearing a broken look on his face. Daniel was his only brother and sibling.

If someone told him he’ll wake up to such a day, he would have called the person a liar.

They all watched as the coffin was being lowered six feet under.

“You’ll always remain a father to me dad… Even though our relationship wasn’t the best of all, the little good moments we spent together will always be memorable” Angelo muttered before he threw his rose inside the hole.

“This isn’t a goodbye… But a see you later brother, I love you” Romeo said and threw his own rose.

The other guests took turns in throwing their own roses in the hole.

“Love” Juliet went to Romeo and hugged him tightly.

“I’m sorry..” She muttered and Romeo just hugged her tighter to himself.

Harmony looked at Angelo to see the sad look on his face. She slowly held his hand, prompting Angelo to look her way.

“It’ll be fine” She muttered and Angelo nodded.

After close to an hour, the burial ended and everyone went their way.

<NOELLE’S HOSPITAL>

Glen walked in Winter’s ward with a small shopping bag in her hand. Immediately after the burial, she came all the way here.

“I’m here” Glen smiled but got no response since Winter was still unconscious.

She sat down next to Winter and placed the bag on her thigh.

“I brought you something with my savings… Here, look it’s that gown you’ve always wanted to have and look it’s the shoes I once caught you staring at it on your phone” Glen said.

“I’ll buy you anything, just name it.. I’ll do anything just to see you live the comfortable life you used to to live but please, wake up huh? Please..” Glen said as tears began dropping out of her eyes.

“I’m sorry, it’s my fault that you’re in this state. I was so foolish to think that Marco will change, that we’ll finally have that peaceful family I’ve always wanted for you and Juliet.. I’m sorry” Glen cried softly.

“Hate me all you want, you can even disown me as your mom but please, just wake up..” Glen cried.

She sniffed as she wiped off her tears that kept falling..

“You make too much noise you know that? I can’t even sleep in peace”

Glen’s eyes widened when she heard that voice. No, it isn’t possible is it? She’s just hallucinating right?

She slowly looked up to see Winter staring at her. Glen’s eyes widened in shock.

“Your daughter woke up this morning ma’am” The nurse standing by the door chirped in.

Glen looked at Winter and her eyes immediately welled up with tears.

“Winter!” She broke down in tears as she hugged Winter lightly.

“Mom..” Winter smiled. She felt too weak to lift a muscle so she didn’t hug Glen back.

“I’m sorry!! I’m sorry!!” Glen cried.

“Everyone makes mistakes, including me so who I’m I to get angry. You thought you did something good” Winter smiled weakly.

“I promise from now on I’ll start thinking more about you two” Glen smiled.

“And I promise I’ll be the best daughter there is” Winter smiled

Glen smiled before kissing her forehead.

<BRANDON’S WARD>

“You’re really stubborn, aren’t you? Winter already woke up, what are you waiting for?” Angelo said as he looked at Brandon who was under oxygen with the machine beeping every secondary.

“You know in all what happened, the only good thing in this is the fact that we’re related. Too bad you’re older I’d have loved to boss you around” Angelo smiled lightly.

“I’m sorry I won’t be around when you’ll wake up” Angelo muttered.

Angelo looked at the time and immediately stood.

“I’m running out of time… Please take care of Harmony for me? I know how clumsy she can be” Angelo smiled lightly

He walked up to Brandon and touched his hair.

“Goodbye… Big bro” He muttered before leaving the ward.

Evan and Chance were both standing outside when he came out. They immediately stood up when he came out.

“Do you really have to do this?” Evan asked and Angelo nodded.

“What about Harmony?” Chance asked.

“I count on you two to comfort her and always protect her. Please do it for me” Angelo said and Chance sighed before nodding.

“Come here” They all did a group hug.

“Goodbye” Angelo muttered before leaving.

He walked out of the hospital and ran his hands through his hair as the wind dishevelled.

“Sir” His driver muttered and opened the passenger’s seat for him.

He got in and closed the door. The driver got in too.

“To the airport” He muttered and the driver nodded before driving off.

MINUTES LATER

Harmony walked in the hospital, heading to Brandon’s ward with a basket of fruits. She met Evan and Chance outside the ward, looking sad.

“What’s wrong? Why the faces?” She asked immediately and they turned to her.

“Harmony…” Chance muttered.

“Where’s Angelo?” She blinked.

Her phone suddenly chimed and she brought it out. The basket of fruits she was holding fell from her hand as she read the content

✰ If you’re reading this, then means I’m in the plane to Germany. I couldn’t tell it to you physically because if I did, I will definitely want to go with me but that will be selfish of me. You have a family and a singing career to fulfill ✰

✰ As the only heir to my dad’s wealth, I have to take over all his business meaning everything will change. I can’t longer stay there because everything reminds me of them and it’s too painful to bear. I won’t be coming back anytime and that’s why we need to break up ✰

Tears was already pouring down Harmony’s eyes when she was done reading

“No… No you can’t leave me” She shook her head and ram out of the hospital immediately

“Harmony!!”

Harmony took the can that immediately took her to the airport.

“Attention please, the plane heading to Germany will be taking off in 3 minutes…”

Harmony began running to the where the people were boarding the plane as tears flowed out of her eyes.

The moment she arrived there, her eyes widened as she watched the plane slowly taking off before her.

“Angelo!!!!” She screamed loudly.
