Chapter 35

Annabelle’s p.o.v

“Where are you going now?Why can’t you just stay still?” Richard scolded me again.

Can’t he get tired of scolding me?

He just returned from outside and I am already dressed up.

The doctor told me to take it easy but Richard just don’t want me to go anywhere or do anything.

The doctor didn’t say I shouldn’t do anything or go anywhere, she just said I should take it easy which I am doing.

“I’m going to college. It’s the last day before the holiday. Can you help me with the shoes?”

It’s kinda hard to bend now.

Richard scrunched down in front of me as he tied my shoes lace.

“Thank you.”

“Eat before we leave.”

“What did you buy ?” I questioned.

He is surely a devoted person.

Now I see what Gabriel means by being in good hands.

Sometimes Richard woke up very early to buy me breakfast.

Usually he gets people to prepare my meal.

His mother strictly said that I should eat a healthy meal during the pregnancy.

Moreover I had a weak body.

So everyone was very worried about me.

“Yam Porridge.”

I remember saying that I wanted to eat that last night.

So he still remembered to get it for me this morning.

Awwn…that’s so sweet of him.

“Thanks but I don’t feel like eating that this morning.”

“Is that so? What do you want to have then?” He asked while frowning.

Poor man.

“I want some crispy sweet sour suya meat..”

I had that in my dream and woke up drooling.

“It’s still morning.” He chuckled.

“I know right? Tsk, this baby.”

I could not hold the smile.

I was only teasing him.

“I will pack you some oatmeal.”

He could make that.

Simple and delicious.

“It’s okay, I will grab something from the cafeteria.”

Perhaps one big burger could relieve my cravings for now.

“So today is the last day of university? You won’t go out again ?”

“I guess….why ask?…Do you plan to get me locked up here?”

Richard’s p.o.v

I gave it a thought.

what should I make her busy with?

There is no way she would calmly agree to do nothing.

I can ask Abigail to stay with her.

The two of them could do things together.

“I will pick you up after. Don’t go anywhere by yourself.”

Her stomach is big now.

I bet that must be uncomfortable.

On the other hand, she looked really beautiful..

Her skin is glowing.

They.said pregnancy with a girl showed on the mother.

Annabelle’s P.o.v

Abigail saw me heading to the class.

Richard had texted her earlier today, leaving a bunch of exclamation marks.

That she should accompany me, pay attention to me and all.

But here is my supposed guardian who is just coming to the university now.

“Annabelle!” She waved her hands to greet me.

“oh.. Abigail.”

I went to the college and did my activities here and there, back and forth.

Around midday I felt my stomach hurt.

Hurt so bad that I couldn’t even stand.

“Annabelle!” Abigail exclaimed as she caught my back.

I almost slipped for a second.

“My stomach..it hurts so bad, Abigail feel. Can you help me call Richard?” I informed as I whimpered in pain.

It was really painful.

“Annabelle…” Abigail’s eyes widened.

There were blood streaming down my legs.

“Holy shot,” Sandra cursed.

She also quickly support my body.

Abigail quickly called an ambulance and informed Richard.

Richard was leisurely doing his work in the office when he received a call from Abigail.

“Don’t let anything happen to the baby, don’t let anything happen to her..”

He prayed as he drove as fast as he could to the hospital.

Annabelle’s parents were also coming as quickly as they could.

Her mother arrived first.

The doctor said that she was too tired and didn’t have enough rest. She shouldn’t be doing much activity. This was not the first time Annabelle had bleed in her fifth month pregnancy.

Richard was very angry at her at that time.

She just didn’t want to listen and kept doing her stuff.

Now it happened again.

“Annabelle…” Abigail muttered as soon as she saw her eyes flickered open.

She quickly rushed to her side.

“Do you feel better?”

“It hurts.” Annabelle cried.

Richard’s eyes were cold.

His gaze met hers.

“Leave, Abigail. Nobody enters until I say so.”

After the operation was done, Richard told her parents to go back first, both her mom and dad were devastated.

They haven’t met her since she move in with Richard.

Richard and Abigail waited for her there.

She thought she saw her brother in everything, however hearing that Annabelle almost lost the baby made him lose his cool face.

He was genuinely scared to lose both of them.

“Brother.” Abigail said.

She knows Richard will scold Annabelle.

“Get the hellout ” He Snapped

Annabelle rubbed her belly.

The baby was okay.

The doctor strictly said there if she bleeds again, that she will lose the baby for real if she keeps
insisting on wandering around.

Her pregnancy was weak since the beginning.

Richard palmed her forehead.

He didn’t say anything.

He was just quietly staring at her weak body.

“How do you feel?” He asked softly.

“I’m scared..” she cried.

“I know.” He wiped her tears,

“You are the baby itself.. always crying.” He cooed.

Richard could not take his eyes off her.

It was like if he blinks she will disappear.

“Stop crying will you? It’s okay now.. You only need to rest.. I will arrange for a nurse to stay with you at home. You have to stay in bed.”

“Richard”

“Hmm?” He held her hands, lacing her fingers with his.

“If.. if something happens to the baby.. will you leave me?” She questioned as she cried.

She thoughts Richard will leave her if she loose the baby.

“Are you an idiot? I’m not staying because of the baby. I’m staying because I love you.”
