Chapter 32

Annabelle had fell in love with him and didn’t want to be separated from him.

Richard did not understand.

He thought at least she had a little bit of feelings for him.

She let him kiss her and it did not only happen once.

He kissed her almost every night.

No, it happened every night.

“By any chance, are you still in love with Gabriel? Am I a fool for thinking you had started to have feelings for me?”

“Richard…”

“Don’t call my name and don’t look at me with those deceitful eyes of yours! You are more heartless than me, you are even more ruthless.. This is how you want to pay me right, isn’t it?”

When he hurt people, he didn’t bat an eye at them.

Now he understands their feelings.

A part of it.

He was upset and hurt.

He thought there could be three of them….

“Richard..!” She grabbed him by the wrist and tiptoed to kiss his lips.

If this was not enough to stop his mumblings, she had no idea what else to
do.

“I wasn’t hesitating because of the baby.. I think I have fallen in love with you..”

That statement surprised her.

It was too embarrassing to admit that she fell in love with him in such a short amount of time.

He was slowly processing her words.

“You love me?”

She did not want to repeat it again.

He never said he loved her either.

She hated him for years, how could she fall that easily?

Maybe it was because of the baby.

It connected the two of them.

She tried to deny her feelings so many times.

“Are you for real? you can’t take it back. You have already said it.”

“Don’t be ridiculous..” Annabelle rolled her eyes.

Letting him go, she muttered

“I’m tired.”

“Then.. we don’t need to call off the engagement? It’s still on and it’s real this time?” He excitedly said as he hugged her.

“Yes, yes.. Go to sleep.” She didn’t want this to be awkward, all hugging and kissing.

She was still too shy.

“Richard, do you believe that I love you?” She questioned as he tucked the blanket.

He took her hands, holding them warmly.

She always find his fingers beautiful.

They were long and slender.

“.. yes and I love you too..”

He was trapping her with his figure more and longer than she will ever.know.

He kept his feelings for so long.

He pressed a kiss on your forehead,

“I won’t let you go ever, you know that right?”

After hearing that she share the same feelings with him, there is no way he would ever let go of her.

Annabelle were blushing.

This was so embarrassing!

“0k.. okay.. can you move now?”

“No”

He didn’t want to.

He will kiss her all night.

“I can’t breathe.”

She was carrying his baby and yet he still bullied her like this.

“You are so irresistible.”

The fact that she could feel how hard he was down there, made her blush the more.

“It will calm down by itself later.” He reassured her.

He had no intention to make love to her.

He just wanted to enjoy the moment.

She fell asleep after some time as Richard watched her sleep inside his arm.

This was the first time she let him embrace her to sleep.

He likes to see the crimson color on her cheeks.

“I’m not hesitating because of the baby.. I think I have fallen in love with you.”

He repeated those words in his head, his lips curled up.

She loves him.

Beat that, Gabriel.

She is all his now!!

He smiles fondly.

Mine..

Oh.. he could watch her sleep forever.

He separated himself a bit.

She were scrunching uncomfortably.

“Hm?” “Where are you going?” She asked, half asleep.

“I have to make a phone call. I will be back in a sec. Go back to sleep.”

“Hmm..”

She was too tired to bother.

Richard went back to his own room.

He looked for his second phone and dialed a number.

The people in the other side picked up the call immediately.

Annabelle’s p.o.v

“What do you mean by he has left?”

The morning I woke up, the maids said Richard had his stuff packed and left earlier this morning.

His room was empty.

He didn’t say anything to me.

“Maybe he realizes your worth.” Mirabel smiles mockingly,

“You should have aborted the baby when you have a chance because I doubt there will be a family who wants to marry their son to a single mother.”

He was still okay last night.

He won’t leave me.

I just know he won’t.

The last thing I could recall was that he went out to make a call.

He never returned to my room…

“It can’t be.”

“Annabelle my daughter.”

“l already called the his parents this morning. Richard already told them about the engagement.”

So he left me.

….I love you and will never give up on you…

What’s the point of the statement?

It meant something last night.

I couldn’t think of anything now.

I got chills.

“Honey.. you can’t engage without certainty. I read about Richard.. I’m worried if it’s not now he will hurt you in the future.. Do you understand me, honey?Back then I thought it was for the best if you married the man who was responsible for your pregnancy. However after hearing stories about him from your sister, I don’t want you to suffer. I can’t let you get engage with him.”

“Mother, you already decide whether we should continue or not..”

Whatever I and Richard said doesn’t look like it will matter.

It seems like she has already made her decisions.

“Did he tell you that he was leaving?”

“No…”

“When I called his mother this morning. she was.already aware that I called to talk about the
engagement. Richard already told her.”

Why would he tell his mother if he still wants to continue the engagement?

Does it mean.. he doesn’t want it?

“Go back to your room. Don’t stress yourself. It’s not good for the baby, okay? I will take you out
today. We should go to buy the baby stuff” My mother tried to cheer me up.

“I don’t feel like….. maybe another time..”

I left without eating my breakfast.

“Let her be, mom. she needs some time alone.” I hear Mirabel say.

“It must be hard on her.. I can’t believe I almost let her marry him.. You think.. you still want to
adopt her baby?”

“Yes, mother!”
