(REYES HIGH SCHOOL)

“Why should I?”

“Became I just say it.” He replied coldly.

“Look Ryan, you need to accept me whether you like it or not or your mum won’t stop getting you a maid. Don’t worry I won’t trouble you, will just mind my business.” Skylar said hoping he buys it.

“Fine! Now leave.” He said not spearing her a glance and Skylar left.

He quickly opened a bottle of tequila and gulped it all.

 

~FLASHBACK

Ryan has left his house to go visit his girlfriend, Brooklyn.

He has been trying to reach her but it wasn’t going through and he was worried so he decided to check up on her.

He got to her house and was surprised to see his best friend’s sweatshirt lying on the couch, he also has it since they bought it together.

He shrugged and went towards her room, he heard sounds coming from her room with a familiar voice he had figured out to be Aaron’s.

“Aaron I love you so much.” He heard and his eyes widened.

” I love you too Brooklyn, Ryan is so foolish to think you love him.” He heard Aaron say and they laughed.

He entered the room angrily, meeting them naked and he couldn’t control the tears that fell from his eyes.

Brooklyn and Aaron’s eyes widened.

“Baby it’s not what you think,” Brooklyn said but Ryan was not attentive.

“I heard everything, Lyn it’s over!” He said and left immediately.

 

~BACK TO PRESENT

He had learnt that after what happened, Brooklyn left the country and Aaron keeps asking him for forgiveness at school but he never listen.

He felt so betrayed and broken that he started to drink and smoke to forget his sorrows.

Later that night, Mrs. Ryes summoned Skylar to her room.

“You called for me ma’am?” Skylar asked almost yawning.

” Yes, I’m glad my son didn’t send you away. What is the name of your school?” Mrs. Ryes asked.

” Royal HIGH.”

” That’s quite far from here, Skylar please I want you transferred to Reyes HIGH tomorrow and don’t worry about anything because it’s been sorted out.” Mrs. Ryes explained and Skylar couldn’t stop smiling, she will be able to see Tristan again.

“Please say something, I just want you to look after my son at school.” She added.

” I will,” Skylar replied and Mrs Ryes hugged her.

Skylar got dressed for school in a floral red gown.

Ryan left already.

“Miss, Mrs Ryes said I should drive you to school.” A man told her and she nodded entering the car.

 

•••~REYES HIGH

The car drove into the school premises and Skylar couldn’t help but stare, the school looked more beautiful than she had imagined.

“We are here.” The driver said and she stepped out of the car, immediately she got everyone’s attention.

🗣 Wow a new student
🗣 She’s pretty

Skylar smiled as she heard the comments about her, she was always called ill names at her former school.

“Skylar?” She heard a familiar voice call her and she turned.

” Tristan!” Skylar exclaimed and she hugged him immediately.

🗣WTF
🗣Blair won’t like this
🗣 She’s surely dead

“How are you here?” He asked after the long hug.

” Long story but I will tell you while we walk to class.” She said and Tristan smiled making her heart to flutter.

Blair was with her friends when one of her friends came in.

” Blair,I just saw your guy hugging a girl,I think she’s new.” Blair’s eyes widened.

” Who the f**k is she?”

She was about to go out of the class when Tristan came in with the supposed new girl.

Tristan left Skylar’s side and he went to kiss Blair on the lip making Skylar’s face fall immediately.

” Skylar meet my girlfriend, Blair meet my friend from Royal HIGH.” He introduced.

Skylar waved at her while Blair rolled her eyes.

” Excuse me,” Skylar said and left the class hurt.

” How did he have a girlfriend so suddenly, he just got transferred here, not even up to two days!”

Skylar muttered not watching where’s going until she realized.

“Now am lost, thanks to your Tristan!” She rolled her eyes, the passage was empty and silent but she heard noises not far from where she stood

She moved closer till she saw Ryan in an empty room smoking!

“Ryan?” She called out and he looked up at her but frowning.

” What are you doing here?” He said annoyed.

” Actually… Your mum got me transferred here.” I replied and he scoffed.

” Just stay away from me please, leave!” He shouted at her and Skylar left in wonder.

“Why is he like this? Something must be wrong with him.”

She said silently and immediately she bumped into someone, she lost her balance and almost fell but she felt warm hands around her waist and Skylar opened her eyes, she was stunned to see it was a guy looking so handsome.

“Are you okay?” The guy asked her in his angelic voice and she nodded.

” Seems you are new here, by the way, am Zion and you are?” He asked studying her.

” Call me Skylar.” She replied and the bell ranged for the first period.

“Let’s go.”

It was lunch hour, and Skylar was about to go to the cafeteria when two girls came to her.

” Hi am Ella and this is my friend, Isabel.” The girl introduced smiling.

” We will love to be your friend, so what’s your name?” Isabel asked.

” Am Skylar, you really wanna be my friend?” She asked since she has never had a female friend.

” Of course why not, we are cool people, trust me.”

Ella said making Skylar smile and they left for the cafeteria.

Zion was in his sit watching as she conversed with those two girls.

His mind went back to when she bumped into him and how his hand felt on her waist and he smiled.

“She’s really beautiful.”
