It was their lunch break so Brittany could be seen leaving the company with Paisley as they chatted happily.

“OMG!!” Paisley gasped.

“What?”

“I just saw an angel!!” Paisley said, fanning herself.

“Huh?” Brittany raised a brow.

“There!” She pointed.

Brittany followed her line of vision and her eyes landed on Justin who was standing beside his car, darting his eyes around..

His eyes landed on Brittany and he smiled coming towards them.

“If not for the fact that I love my boyfriend I could have courted him” Paisley said and Brittany chuckled before Justin.

“Hi” He smiled.

“It’s confirmed. You’re a stalker” Brittany said and crossed her arms. Justin chuckled.

“Call me whatever you want. I was just passing by and I decided to drop by and say hello” Justin said.

“Really? That’s nice.. We were on our way to have our lunch” Brittany said and Paisley nodded.

“Wow cool! I can drop you guys off if you wish” Justin said.

“Of course!” Paisley accepted and Brittany eyed her.

“Cool, let’s go” Justin said and led the way.

Nicholas who was escorting his business partners out of the company saw them enter Justin’s car.

He furrowed his brow and faced his business partners.

“I love this photo and this one too” Savannah smiled as she went through the various pictures of her taken for the day.

“Yeah me too. Red is made for you” Evan said and she smiled more.

“Savvy..”

Savannah’s heart skipped a beat as her smile fell. Evan noticed her sudden change of humor and he looked back to see Kenneth.

“Can we talk please?” Kenneth said.

“I’m busy” She said and left without sparing him a glance.

Kenneth sighed and watched her leave. His guilt doubled as he watched her leave.

“Uhm sir, what’s happening?” Evan asked.

Kenneth sat down next to him and sighed..

Ruby stood by the entrance as she watched what just happened. She folded her fists tightly as she left too.

Savannah rinsed her face with water before looking up at her reflection on the mirror in the restroom.

She sighed as she closed her eyes. Right now she badly wants to speak with Connor but how can she when Connor is the person she’s avoiding.

Suddenly the door swung open and Ruby came in, looking so angry as she marched to Savannah.

“You b*tch! Because of you Kenneth broke up with me.. How dare you!!” Ruby said and slapped her.

Savannah held her cheek which got slapped as she looked up at Ruby with a surprised look on her face.

Kenneth broke up with her??

“You’ll pay for this dearly!! Mark my words!!” Ruby said and made to slap her again but Savannah caught her wrist and slapped her back.

“Stop this nonsense Ruby. If he broke up with you it’s solely and purely because of you. Like seriously you’re so ungrateful! Kenneth would have broken up with long time ago if not for the advises I kept giving him. How is it my fault when your man,, sorry ex man doesn’t want a public good” Savannah said and pushed her. She fell on the floor.

“I already told you to stay away from me! Instead of disgracing yourself why don’t you move on… Life doesn’t solely depend on men yunno” Savannah said.

She suddenly sighed and pinched her brows.

“Why I’m I even wasting my saliva on a hopeless case” She muttered and left the restroom.

Ruby sat on the floor with a surprised look on her face. The surprised look slowly changed to a vicious look.

She smirked.

GLORIA’S ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

“Hey Xander! How do I look in my sports wear” Daisy twirled around. She was putting on a pink sports wear and the teacher helped her tie her hair up in a ponytail..

“Xander? Who me?” Alex pointed at himself. He was putting on a blue sports wear.

“Yeah! Alexander is your name so I can call you Xander” Daisy smiled.

“Yuck! I prefer Alex” Alex pouted.

“Okay..” Daisy shrugged.

“Okay, so how do I look” She asked again.

“You look good…” Alex said and smiled.

“Awn thank you!” She said and pecked his cheek.

“Hey why did you do that!!” Alex frowned while rubbing his cheek.

“You just look so cute..” Daisy gushed.

“Don’t do that,, only my mom is allowed to kiss my cheek” Alex said.

“Really? We’ll see about that” Daisy said and pouted her lips coming for Alex’s cheek again.

“Hey! Stop it!” Alex slipped out of her grip and ran off.

“Hey come back!!” Daisy said and began chasing him.

“Go away!! Gosh!, why did I accept to be her friend” Alex said, while running.

Joel frowned from where he was standing while glaring at them.

LILLY’S RESTAURANT

“Bye Hank!” Jessica waved as she left the restaurant.

She was closing early today so her work for the day was done. Jessica began heading home when someone grabbed her arm.

“Jessi,, you’ve been avoiding me since morning” Rhett spoke and turned her to him.

Jessica looked away and bit her lips.

“I’m trying to forget about you” Jessica said lowly.

“Forget about me?” Rhett raised a brow.

“Yes. I saw you and Ashley kiss yesterday” Jessica said sadly..

“Oh it’s about that?” Rhett asked and she nodded.

He suddenly chuckled and flicked her forehead.

“Yunno it’s not good to spy on people… Actually she kissed me and not the other way round. Let me tell you how it went”

 

FLASHBACK

“I’ll be going mom.. Bye!” Rhett said and left the house.

Well every weekend he always spends it at the gym and that’s where he was going. He opened the door and met Ashley standing by her car while smiling widely.

“Hello Rhett!! Today is Sunday so I was wondering if we could spend it together” Ashley said cheerfully.

Rhett sighed and walked closer to her.

“Ashley, we need to talk” Rhett said and Ashley’s smile slowly fell.

“I’ve thought about what you told me and,, I’m sorry but I can’t reciprocate your feelings. I just can’t because I only see you as a friend and that’s all… Not only that but there’s also another reason which I’m still to know. I’m sorry but our relationship can only end at the friendship level, I don’t want to give you high hopes for nothing” Rhett said.

What followed was silence. Ashley looked up at him, fighting back her tears. She forced a smile and nodded.

“Okay, I’ll try to forget about you then” She muttered and quickly clean the tears that threatened to fall.

“I’m sorry Ash” Rhett said.

“It’s okay… I’m not the first person to be rejected” Ashley said sadly..

“Before I leave can I do something.. Just this once,,, please?” Ashley said and Rhett slowly nodded.

Ashley stood on her toe and pressed her lips on Rhett’s lips, shocking him. Her tears finally found it’s way out..

 

FLASHBACK ENDS

“So that’s what happened” Rhett shrugged and then smirked at Jessica.

“J-J on the beat.. I thought you were the jealous kind but I never knew you could be-”

Jessica hugged him tightly, making him stop talking.

“Jessica..” Rhett muttered, looking down at her.

“I couldn’t muster the courage to tell you this because I was so afraid of rejection but when I saw you with Ashley yesterday, it really pained more than rejection so I won’t waste anymore time” Jessica muttered and looked up at him.

“I fell helplessly for you the very first day I set my eyes on you. I love you Rhett” She said.

Rhett eyes widened more…

“Mom! I’m home!” Savannah said, entering her parents room.

She met Audrey pressing her phone while sitting on the bed.

“Wow! You came back home early today” Audrey said and placed her phone aside.

Savannah crawled on the bed and placed her head on Audrey’s thigh.

“Mom…” Savannah called.

“Hmm?”

“Has dad ever lied to you?” Savannah asked.

“Huh? Well obviously yes. I mean back then when we were still dating, it has had a lot of ups and downs but as long as we know that we love each other we were able to pass through all the tribulations. Even till when we got married.. What’s love without ups and downs” Audrey said, stroking her hair.

“Yeah… You’re right” Savannah sighed.

“What’s bothering my baby girl. You seem sad” Audrey asked.

Savannah then told her about everything that transpired between her and Kenneth. Audrey couldn’t help but gasp..

“What! You mean Connor is the president’s son?” Audrey asked and Savannah nodded.

“He told me that he loves me. He even broke up with his girlfriend but I’m still màd at him. I mean he played a fool out of me for years” Savannah said and pouted.

“Well.. This is really complicated but I’ll just tell you to follow your heart” Audrey said.

Savannah looked at Audrey and nodded. Audrey smiled and pecked her cheek.

“I’m not longer a baby mom! I’ll soon be 25!” Savannah said.

“25 and still single” Audrey smirked.

“What’s your problem with you and dad” Savannah whined and Audrey laughed.

It was 3pm, closing time and also time to go and pick up Alex from school.

Brittany walked out of the company while packing her handbag correctly when an arm pulled her to a corner and pinned her on the wall.

“What the-” She paused when her eyes met with that of Aidan.

“What do you want?” Brittany said coldly.

“Why are you hellbent on destroying me! What we had is in the past!” Aidan said angrily.

Brittany smiled.

“Since you’re so eager to know well let me tell you. It’s simply and purely because I hàte you, I despise you and every other person and I won’t stop till I make you beg for my forgiveness” Brittany said, fighting back her tears.

“I loved you with all my heart, body and soul. I trusted everyone of you yet you stabbed me on my back in such a way I could never imagine. You!, you cheated on me with my friend.. My best friend Aidan!! When I was unjustly accused of a crime I know nothing of, you were so happy. I saw the smile of satisfaction that you held on your face when I was sentenced to jail. You came to prison and rubbed it all on my face,, you and Sandy!” Brittany yelled and looked down, her tear trickling down to the floor.

“And when I thought it couldn’t get any worse, I found out I was pregnant for you. Honestly, I wanted to abort the baby but no… The baby did nothing wrong. I went through hardship of pregnancy for nine months, thankfully I had three friends by my side. I went through a very painful labor and I gave birth. I went through all that all by myself while you were busy enjoying and showcasing your fake love with Sandy. Now tell me Aidan… Why shouldn’t I hàte you?” Brittany said, looking at him with red eyes.

Aidan bit his lips and looked down as guilt slowly began eating him up.

“I swear Aidan that I won’t stop till I see you and every other person who had a hand in it. I won’t stop till you cry out thrice the tears I did” Brittany said, glaring at him.

Nicholas who have been listening to them finally spoke.

“Let her go Aidan. You have no rights to touch my girlfriend” Nicholas said.

Aidan looked at Nicholas and slowly released Aidan. Brittany glared at him and left.

Nicholas dipped his hands in his pocket as he glared at Aidan.

“I will reserve my comments because you too you know what you did to me,,, you and that man you call father. And after you’ll ask yourself why I hàte you meanwhile it’s obvious.. Like the saying says ‘like father like son’ but that goes only to you coz I’ll never accept that man as my father” Nicholas said and turned to leave too…

“Bye Alex” Daisy said and pecked his cheek.

“Gosh! Stop it!!” Alex said rubbing the kiss off his cheek.

Daisy chuckled and joined Dylan in the car. The driver drove away with Daisy waving from the window.

“That girl” Alex rolled his eyes and sighed.

His eyes began darting around waiting for when Brittany will arrive to him up.

Suddenly a black car stopped in front of him and the driver got down, he opened the door and a lady richly dressed got down the car.

“Alex I guess” She smiled.

“Who are you?” Alex furrowed her brows.

“You’ll soon know” Hailey smirked and bit her lips.
