“My father” Celina was shocked to bones. That made her stay calmed…

“Yeah” Emile looked down and released her.

“Come with me”

Celina watched him as he walked away. She followed behind too…

They sat down on a bench. Emile held her hand and kissed it then smiled as tears glittered at the corner of his eyes…

“You look so much like your mother” He brushed his hands on her cheek.

Celina stood still staring at him. He removed his hand from her face and looked in front as memories of the past flooded his mind.

He could vividly remember the pain, sadness depression he went through. His family was torn into pieces. All that because of one man, Santiago!!

“It was 18 years ago. You were 5 back then..I left you, your mother, your twin and your big brother to go to work since I was a soldier back then, we were preparing to go for battle. I got back home only to see the most painful thing in my life…” Emile said and let out his tears.

Celina wiped her tears off too. She doesn’t know why but seeing him in tears greatly affected her.

“I saw your mother and big brother lying lifeless on their own pool of blood. The house was in a complete mess like some people were looking for something. I didn’t understand what happened. I was completely lost…I was-”

“Stop,,,please…” Celina said in tears as she scattered her hair like a mad woman…

Mom, Kay… A voice rang in her head as she felt an unbearable headache.

FLASHBACK***

In the peaceful town of Canada around an area near the mountains, a little girl was seen playing with her dog.

“Go get it Cookie!!” Her small voice said as she threw a stick. The white furred dog ran to go get the stick.

“Lina, I can’t get the peaches mommy wants me to get” Another girl said and pouted as she jumped trying to grab the peaches.

“Here, let me help” She said and picked a stick and pocked the peach till It fell in the basket.

“See, you sometimes need to use your head instead of your muscle dummy” She stuck her lips out and ran into the house, giggling.

“Wait till I get you lina” The other girl carried the basket and ran in too.

“Woo, easy, easy… Sapphire, Celina. Stop that!! You’ll smash my peaches down” A woman said walking out of the kitchen.

“Sorry mom” Celina and Sapphire chorused.

Heather, their mom crouched down in front of them and patted the twin’s hairs. They are twins, not identical twins though.

“Where’s Kay?” Heather asked.

“He’s snoring upstairs” Sapphire mumbled.

“Such a lazy big brother” Celina scoffed which made Heather laugh.

“Alright, your father is receiving a promotion today. Let’s make a surprise for him. Lina, got get some fresh flowers from the garden nearby. Don’t cross the river okay?”

“Yes mom” Celina smiled which made her look more cute with her natural red cheeks.

“And you Sapphire, please help me to get some salt from the shop nearby” Heather gave some money to buy the salt. She nodded and ran off

They’re kids but trust me, they are way more intelligent than their age..

Celina was walking to an exit when an idea came into her. Being the stubborn that she is, she sneaked into her parents room and took his father’s pin. Unknown to her that it’s a camera.

She hooked it on her dress around her chest and smiled.

“Looks so cute” She gushed…

I’ll return it once I’m back home She thought and nodded, agreeing with her thoughts before leaving.

“Cookies, come let’s go!!” She ran off and the dog followed behind barking in the process.

Celina crouched and began picking the flowers. With a smile on her face, she sniffed in the flowers. Smelled so nice…

Her gaze traveled further and she saw more beautiful roses at the other side of the river.

“Do not cross the river” Her mother’s voice rang in her head but she shrugged it off and crossed the bridge to the other side.

She picked the roses till she bumped her head on a wall..

“Ouch…” Celina rubbed her head. She looked up to see a house in front of her. When did she get here?

She peeped into the window and saw a woman tied up, she was beaten very badly and barely had energy to look up.

“Oh no…” Celina whispered.

Kyra looked up at Celina and made some signs for her to leave but she didn’t understand what she meant to say.

The door to the house swung open and a man entered. Behind followed five men.

“I told you very well to stay at home and do your job of taking care of the kids but no, you decided to follow me… Now look at you” Santiago said and walked to a table, checking out the packets of marijuana placed there.

“I thought you never loved me but never in my dreams will I imagine that you are such a monster” Kyra whispered in pain.

Santiago smirked and brought out his golden gun. Celina’s eyes widened as she saw a gun.

“Now you know who I truly am. Honestly I’ve been thinking on how to finish off with you but when I think of Louis, I decided to keep you alive but now I guess it’s time for you to leave this earth.” Santiago said and aimed his gun at Kyra.

As he made to pull the trigger…

BARK***

He paused as he heard the barking of the dog. There’s no dog around the area so where is the bark coming from.

Celina quickly hid herself as the cookies barked. She gestured it to shut up…

Santiago looked at his men and nodded. They got the signal and walked out of the house in order to survey the environ.

“You are really lucky” Santiago said and walked out of the room.

Celina held her breath and tried calming her racing heart as she heard the sound of footsteps near her hiding. The footsteps died down as it walked away.

“Cookies, if I don’t get out of here alive, I want you to know that I love you and mom, dad, Sapphire and Kay. Here, for you not to forget me” Celina said and removed the pin then attached it on the dog’s neck band.

She peeped out of her hiding and then immediately dashed out of the area. She ran as fast as her feet could carry her while Cookie ran behind her.

As she stepped foot to cross the bridge.

“Got you, so you’re the little brat that was spying on us” The man caught her by the dress.

“Let me go, you’re hurting me” Celina cried.

Cookies growled and bit the man’s leg. He released Celina but in the process, her dress got torn. She ran off with cookies behind her but the man had a change to take a look at her back and she had three Big dots on it.

Celina didn’t stop running. She was getting tired but still couldn’t stop for the fear of what was behind her. As she made to enter the house, she sprained her ankle and fell down, tumbled then fell a hole.

“Ouch… It hurts” She cried.

Cookies barked while looking down at her. It ran off to look for help but to no avail.

Celina immediately stopped crying as she heard footsteps. It was many and approaching towards her.

What followed was a knock on the door..

“Mom…” Celina teared up as she heard her mother discussing with the men…

“No, let me go. I know nothing of what you’re saying” Heather screamed and made to run into the house but they grabbed her by the arm.

“She’s pretty. Let’s enjoy ourselves” One I them said running his hands on her b**bs.

“No, please don’t do this. I beg you” Heather cried.

Celina closed her ears as she tried hard not to hear her mother’s plead and cries. The men raped her one by one till they were all satisfied…

“Mom, I’m sorry…” She cried trying not to hear her mother’s cries..

If only she could stop them. But she can’t, she’s into a hole and her leg is hurting.

Once she thought it was over. What followed was…

Two gunshots!!!!….

“No!!!” Celina spranged up from bed…

Emile looked up at her. She passed out so he quickly rushed her to the hospital. Kyra later came…

Celina’s shoulder fell as what followed was tears.

“I’m so stupid. I killed my family… Mom, Kay…” Celina whispered lowly as the tears dropped from her eyes, wetting the bed.

“I deserve to die!!!” She screamed in pains. That was too painful for her…
