Derek walked into the room and his heart leapt as he saw the woman. She was the exact replica of his mother.

Tears welled up his eyes as he dragged his feet towards her direction. Celina made some Space for him to meet her…

Derek knelt down in front of her such that they’re at the same level. He held her hand and brought it to his face then placed a kiss on it as the tears he’s been fighting Back finally escaped his eyes and streamed his jaw…

He looked Back up at the woman who had a look of confusing in her eyes. Who’s this man and why is he crying?

“Mom, don’t you recognize me it’s me. The cute little chubby Derek you used to snuggle each time we’re together.” Derek said and sniffed.

That was followed by a moment of silence as the trio stared at each other. Celina breath her breath, the suspense was killing.

Derek on the other hand looked at her in hope. His heart was beating at an incredible speed. He released her hand and looked down in disappointment as the woman did not react…

Derek froze as he felt her hand on his cheek. He looked up only to see her in tears…

“Derek?”She said as her hand slightlg trembled…

Derek nodded immediately…

She cupped his cheek with both hands and then kissed him all over his face. Only one person love to do that to him…

“Can’t believe you’ve turned out to be such a handsome man. My precious pearl” Kyra said in tears.

Celina released her breath and smiled. It’s her! It’s really her!!

“Mom. You’re alive!” He exclaimed and hugged her. Kyra hugged him too and patted his hair…

They broke the hug and Kyra wiped away his tears and kissed his forehead..

“I barely recognized you. You’ve changed alot.. You’re no longer chubby!”

“Mom…” Derek said in embarrassment.

Derek stood up and held her hand, helping her stand up from her wheelchair. She placed her feet on the cold marble and looked up at Derek.

“Just look at how tall you’ve become” Kyra said and cupped his cheek…

“Finally, my savior has come! Thank goodness.. For so many years, I’ve been hoping and dreaming for someone who will come rescue me from this prison. Yes, it’s a prison… These people here kept drugging me for 14 good years I was been drugged so that I should not escape. But on one faithful day, the heavens sent me a guiding light. Miss talkative is my guiding light.. She’s the one that showed me the colorful side of life which was completely different from the grey world I live in. She showed me how to smile in my hard times. The day I heard she graduated left me heartbroken but I also fixed myself an objective. I vowed to myself to always stay optimistic in life. I discreetly vomited each pills they gave me each day. Thank goodness that day has come. Please my son, don’t let me stay here for another day. Don’t abandon me… I’m not mad, I’m not mad!!” She pleaded in tears and even made to kneel down but Derek held her back and hugged her trying to calm her down.

“It’s alright mother…I won’t leave you even for one second. Last time I left you to buy ice cream I came back to see you laying on your own blood. I’m never gonna leave your side ever again” Derek said and kissed her hair.

She nodded as she slowly calmed down. They broke the hug and both turned to look at Celina. She was standing there, wiping off ger own tears. That scene got her really emotional…

“Mum, let me present to you Celina. My one and only wife. She’s the reason why I found you” Derek said.

Kyra smiled as she walked to Celina.

“Celina..you have a beautiful name. Just like you. Thanks a lot, words can’t express my gratitude. You brought my son and I together. You freed me from this hell called life. Can’t believe you’re my daughter in law. From a friend to my daughter. I’m so so proud to have a daughter in law like you” Kyra said and pulled her in for a hug.

Celina blushed and hugged her back too. All those compliments was just too much for her..

Derek smiled as he watched them. He really thank the heavens for bringing Celina into his life. His once miserable life is slowly turning into something meaningful…

They broke the hug and then smiled at each other.

“Come on, let’s get you outta here” Derek said and led the way. Celina held hands with Kyra And they walked out of the room.

Alice saw them approaching so She quickly stood up.

“Get her things packed and ready. This woman is my mother and I’m taking her with me.” Derek said which made Alice gasp. So this woman is the mother of a billionaire like Derek.

Derek turned to Celina…

“Please stay with my mother. I’ll be Back, need to see the head of this place” He said an asked the direction to Alice before walking away.

“Thanks alot Alice. You also helped me alot.” Kyra said with a smile on her lips.

“Awwn no problem. I’m gonna miss you though” Alice said and brought out some clothes from the Drawer.

“Here, go get change” She said and handed the dress to Kyra. She also gave her shoes to wear.

Kyra mumbled a thank you before walking into the room. Derek came Back to them.

“Where’s my mom?” Derek asked.

“She’s changing” Celina said

“I succeeded in making the head of this place release her.” Derek said.

“That’s cool” Celina replied…

Kyra got out of the room dressed properly. She signed where she was supposed to sign and then they walked out of the building.

Kyra breathed in and smiled.

“For how many years did I not feel the warm sun on my body. I’ve missed a lot in life” She said.

Derek walked up to the car and opened it for her to enter. Kyra entered and he closed the door.

Celina made to enter but he pulled her to him and stole a kiss from her before releasing her.

“Your mother might see us” Celina scolded before entering her own side of the car.

Derek chuckled and entered too then ignited the engine before driving off…

The car stopped in front of their house. Derek got down and helped his mom get down. She smiled as she looked in front of her, really happy to see all what her son has accomplished in life.

“Here’s your room mom. Thank goodness I had the whole house cleaned and reserved. Tomorrow we’re going shopping. I’ll buy you all what I never had the chance to buy during these 14 years” He said and kissed her cheek then left her.

He walked up to his room and met Celina walking into the bathroom. He sighed as he removed his shirt. Today was kinda hectic.

He looked at the time to see it was almost 7pm. Wow, time passed quickly.

He opened his laptop and then switched it on before launching a video conferencing.

He began discussing with his employees as he ordered them on what to do. To his surprise, Louis wasn’t present. What could he be doing? He couldn’t help but notice that for some days now, He’s been acting strange.

Celina walked out of the bathroom and then walked to a table where she keeps her cosmetic product.

She sat down and began rubbing her oil while looking at the flat screen TV which was on.

“Boss, are you listening to us?” One of the staff said which made Derek look back at the screen. Celina I really distracting him.

“Let’s call it a night. The meeting is over” He said and logged off.

Celina stood up and went to her wardrobe to pick out something to wear when suddenly Derek snaked his hand round her waist then bit her ear softly…

“Derek…what’s wrong? Thought you were having a video conferencing?” Celina asked.

“How can I concentrate when my wife is standing here in front of me, looking so alluring” Derek said and kissed her shoulder.

Celina held on to the towel and closed her eyes, enjoying the feeling of his lips on her body.

Derek released her and spanked her butt before walking into the bathroom. Celina shook her head and brought out something to wear.

She put on her dress and then walked out of the room heading to the kitchen. Before she could reach there, the scent of food hit her nostrils.

She smiled and then walked in the kitchen to see Kyra cooking.

“Let me help you” Celina said and joined her. The cooking process was faster than usual.

Once they were done they dished the food at the dining room. Derek walked in with a smile on his lips.

“Aren’t I the luckiest man on earth? Having back my mother…” He said and pecked Kyra’s cheek.

“And the love of my life” He said and kissed Celina on the lips before sitting down.

Celina and Kyra both settled down and they began eating.

“So mother, what really happened?” Celina asked.

“Huh?” Kyra asked a little bit confused.

“Who stabbed you and how did you survive” Derek finished…

Kyra swallowed her food and bit her lips…
