Sapphire hugged Derek tightly while trembling. That time, she completely forgot that it was Derek infront of her. Right now, all what filled her thoughts were the gory images….

Derek looked down at her and felt his shirt was getting moist. Wait…is she crying?

Derek’s eyes widened in surprise as he saw her in tears. What’s wrong??

He made to remove her hand from his waist but she tightened her grip on him.

“Please don’t let me go. Please?” She said…

Derek looked down at her, well he doesn’t know what to do in cases like this…

“Calm down, nothing is gonna happen to you” Derek said it rather reluctantly…

Sapphire slowly stopped crying but she didn’t let him go. Derek hugged her back and rubbed her back soothingly…

He sat down on the stairs and she did still not letting him go. Is she a magnet or what?

Sapphire closed her eyes as she sniffled tears slowly calming down. She placed her head on his chest.

Derek leaned his head on the bars beside the stairs and like that, they fell asleep…

Next Morning

Sapphire slowly opened her eyes to see it was already morning. The area was fully bright.

That’s better She thought.

She noticed that she was not in her room but rather at the stairs..why? She lifted her head up and almost screamed as she saw Derek’s sleeping face.

How did she get here and the worst is that she’s in his arms. Well that’s one bad thing in her phobia. Once she gains back herself, she doesn’t remember anything that she did.

All what she could remember is that she entered the mansion and places where dark. She remembered seeing Derek walking towards her and then the rest was just blank in her memory.

Her attention came back to his face. Now that he has his eyes closed, she could see he was really handsome yeah, cute…

Sapphire looked at her face and the shrugged.

*Not bad” She said inwardly.

“Are you done staring at me face?” Derek spoke with his eyes closed.

That started Sapphire. She quickly pushed him away and kept some distance between them.

“Good thing you’re awake right now. Last night, I’ll consider it you were caught by surprise but next time if you touch me, you’ll regret it” Derek said and stood up.

He looked down at her again and then went upstairs to his room, looking really pissed off.

Sapphire released het breath. She thought he’ll hit her with the way he was talking at her. She then scoffed and stood up them begam walking to her room.

She stopped in front of his room and glared at it…..

“As if I wanted you to touch me. Next time don’t you dare touch me too, now I have to go and bath and scrub away all the germs on my body” Sapphire screamed to his hearing and then went to her room.

She stripped and then took a quick bath before dressing into a pink oversized shirt with bum short. She let her hair fall freely since today is Thursday and it’s her free day so no work today.

She then walked out of her room and then went to the dining room. The food were all ready and her husband was seen having breakfast.

She walked up to her seat and then sat down then served herself some food and began eating in silence.

A thought came up in her head. If he wasn’t around yesterday, how will she cope with her phobia? That thought suddenly made her feel guilty…

“Thanks for helping me out last night. If you weren’t there I’m sure I wouldn’t have been able to cope with my phobia” Sapphire said while looking down at her food.

Derek looked up from his phone and then looked at her.

“You have a phobia?” Derek asked.

“Yeah, I’m scared of the dark” Sapphire replied.

“Alright, now I get it” Derek said and looked back to his phone.

That’s it? Sapphire wondered and continued eating her food.

“It’s been four days we’re married and I don’t know your name. What’s your name?” Derek asked with his eyes glued on the phone as he ate with the other hand.

“Sapphire” She said and shoved a spoon full of cereal into her mouth.

Derek looked at her for a while and then looked back at his phone.

Well her name fits defines her pretty blue eyes He said.

Derek equally furrowed his brows at his thoughts. Did he just thought of it.

“I’m Derek” He replied to her.

What followed was complete silence with each members eating their breakfast and minding their businesses.

Derek finished taking his breakfast and stood up to leave. He picked up his suitcase and wore his coat.

“Goodbye, have a nice day” Sapphire said.

He looked back at her and this time their gaze met.

“Thanks” He replied and walked away.

He couldn’t explain it but he felt happy when she said those words to him. It kinda reduced the solitary life he was living…

Derek walked out of the house and entered his car. The driver closed the door and entered too before driving off to work

Location: Canada

Sapphire was seen strolling down the streets. She was dressed in a black leather jacket with black jeans. Today was her free day and that’s what she use to do before going to meet Cameron.

Cameron is her fiance. They are planning on getting married next month. She smiled sadly as she remembered someone.

“Lina, I can’t get the peaches they’re too high” Sapphire said while stretching her hand.

Another girl walked up to her and used a stick to prick the peach till it fell down.

“See, all you need to do is use your head not your fist” The girl said and smile cockily.

“Stop being so cocky Lina” Sapphire said and rolled her eyes.

She blinked back her tears as the memories came rushing in.

“Don’t cry Sapphire. You’re tough and if Lina was here, she could have told you the same thing” She said to her self.

Her face hardened.

“Don’t worry, one day we’ll be reunited once more” She said to herself and walked away.

“I’m so bored!!” Sapphire groaned as she was done reading a book. She looked at the time and it was still 10 am.

“What can I do in this boring house of mine” She wondered…

She had an idea and then rushed upstairs to change into another outfit

Sapphire hasn’t yet noticed it but she is slowly forgetting about Louis..

She came back downstairs tying her hair into a messy bun. Once she was done getting ready, she walked out of the house and entered one of the numerous cars in the garage.

She roared the engine back to life and drove off.

The drive was like a 30 minutes ride but finally she arrived her destination. Sapphire got down the car and closed it before walking up to the house.

She knocked on it and waited for some minutes.

The door swung open and Maude gasped as she saw Sapphire standing in front of her. She thought Sapphire will never step foot into this house after all what they made her do.

“Mum!!” She exclaimed and hugged her. Maude hugged her back too.

“Missed you so much my baby girl” Maude said as they broke the hug.

“Me too” Sapphire replied.

They both walked into the house and settled down on the couch.

“So how have you been? Hope he’s treating you well?” Maude asked.

“Yeah I’m good. Well he’s not yet maltreated me or something but I don’t really understand him. One point he’s cold, then the next second he’s calm” Sapphire said.

“Alright, don’t worry. One day you’ll understand him” Maude said but that didn’t please Sapphire for she didn’t want to spend the rest of her life with such an arrogant brat.

Maude held Sapphire’s hand.

“I’ve noticed something. You seem more calmer than when you went for marriage. Looks like you’re adapting to the situation. Now I want to ask you a question” Maude said and paused..

“Do you still love that Louis guy?” Maude asked.

Sapphire made to answer but paused as she herself began doubting herself. Does she still love him? Yes, she misses him a lot but not that much as before. Did she really love him?

That question put her into serious confusion…

Maude held her hand as she saw the difficulties she had in answering them.

“I don’t need an immediate answer. All I want is you think over it okay?” Maude said.

“Alright mom” Sapphire replied.

Fabian on the other hand was standing by the stairs eavesdropping on their conversations. Today was he wasn’t feeling too well so he stayed at home.

He went Back upstairs and dialed a number.

“Hello?” A voice said from the other line.

“We move to plan B. I want you to come here and sh00t at Sapphire immediately she walks out of my house. Do not sh00t her, I just want you to scare her. If you mistakenly touch her you’re a dead man. You get it?” Fabian said.

“Yes boss. I always do my job well” The man said and Fabian hung up.

Sapphire discussed with Maude before standing up to go. She paused as she saw Fabian coming downstairs.

Fabian walked up to her and stop in front of her. Sapphire immediately hugged him. He hugged her back.

“Don’t worry, one day you’ll understand why I did all these” Fabian said as he stroke her hair.

“I love you dad” She said.

Fabian broke the hug too and kissed her forehead.

“And I love you too” He replied with a smile on his face.

Sapphire smiled as she blinked back her tears. This is the first time Fabian said he loves her too.

“Let me escort you” Fabian said.

Sapphire waved goodbye at Maude before walking out of the house with Sapphire.

Almost immediately a gunshot was fired. Fabian quickly pushed Sapphire away and they fell on the floor. The passerby began running away for their dear life. Fabian looked at the place where the bullet pierce.

Is he normal? Thought I told him not to sh00t at her. This bullet could have taken her life away if I was not there Fabian said inwardly.

Sapphire held on to her father tightly. She was so scared. She was almost shot! But why? What has she done?

“Sapphire. You almost got shot! I think you’re no longer safe. I’ll look for a bodyguard for you. Go home, I think you’re safer there than here.” He said.

Sapphire nodded and entered the car before driving off.

Sapphire reached the mansion and walked in still in shock. What just happened?

Fabian stared at the impact of the bullet. This bullet could pierce through her and also hit the next person.

His phone began ringing and he picked it up in anger.

“WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?? THOUGHT I SAID YOU SHOULDN’T sh00t HER!!!” Fabian yelled.

“That’s why i was calling you boss. I couldn’t make it to the area” The man said.

Fabian froze.

“What!” He exclaimed and hung up in shock.

That means Sapphire is really in danger Fabian said inwardly.

Sapphire was done cleaning up her room. The maid insisted to help but she was bored so she refused.

The bell rang and a maid went to attend to it.

When will that girl leave this mansion. Hasn’t Master have enough of her? The maid thought. Till now, the whole mansion still thinks that Sapphire is Derek fvck mate and he’ll dump her once he’s tired of her. That’s was Derek lifestyle… Using and dumping girls…

The maid gasped as she opened the gate. The man was just too handsome even though he was aged.

“Good morning, can I meet Mrs Bernardo” The man spoke.

The maid ached her brow. Is their Master married?

Sapphire walked by and stopped then looked at them.

“Any problem?” She asked.

The man looked at her and bowed slightly in greetings.

“Good morning Mrs Bernardo. I’m Emile Redford, your bodyguard” The man said.
