Chapter 82
(Get the Trident)

Hunter was just leaving the palace to check on Amber; he ended the meeting immediately after being called by the guard. He didn’t know why Amber will pass out, but with the way the guard acted, he believed it’s serious.

He was being directed to the ward by a nurse, as she left after he had gotten to the door. He was about going in when he heard voices, yelling at each other from within.

He didn’t get the full massage to what they are talking about, but the last sentence made by the male voice which he recognized to be that of Emmett, threw him off balance.

“Just wait for it Thana…it’s either you provide that riff raft and make her pay for what she has done, or I will make sure I tell the whole kingdom that she isn’t Orpheus’ daughter…you cheat” he yelled at Thana. Just then Hunter pushed the door open, going in. They gasp on seeing him

“What did you just say…Emmett…what did you just call my mum…” he repeated his question. Thana gulped down nothing, she was beginning to think Hunter only heard Emmett call her a cheat and wasn’t eavesdropping, but she was wrong.

“My Lord…” Emmett muttered, but his neck was grabbed forcefully by Hunter and pinned to the wall, with his two legs raised above the ground.

“Speak now…..” Hunter growled, his eyes sparking with flames. Emmett choked on his words, struggling to free himself.

“Hunter…stop…” Thana yelled nervously. She wanted him to stop and also continue at the same time, but she wouldn’t want him to hurt Emmett, else her secrets will be exposed in the open.

“Please Hunter….you are killing him” She pleaded with him, but Hunter’s angry level has gotten to the peak. He wouldn’t hear of it. He only stopped when he heard Amber’s faint sound. She had been disturbed by the noise, which made her gain consciousness.

Just then, the clinic doctor rushed in with two nurses, they have also heard the little chaos going on in the ward. Hunter threw Emmett to the ground and turn towards Amber, who haven’t opened her eyes.

And when she did, tears rolled down her eyes. She looked up to see Hunter standing above her, not noticing the presence of her dad and Thana yet, in the room.

“Honey….” She called Hunter tearfully, as he went closer to her, kissing her hand softly
“Save your strength…you are gonna be fine….”

“My baby…” She croaked, as Hunter frown. What is she talking about? He thought. He was yet to say anything when the doctor came forward.

“I’m sorry my lord, but she will need to rest for now…please she won’t want any disturbance in order to recover properly.

But Hunter didn’t move from his position, same as the others in the room. Emmett kept rubbing his neck, gasping from breathe

“What happened?” he asked the doctor.

“I think she ate something poisonous, we found some poison in her system…which aborted the baby…I’m sorry” He whispered the last part in order to prevent amber from hearing, but she got it an flinched

“No…no…not my baby…no!!!” Amber screamed, trying to get off the bed, but they quickly held her down

“What’s going on…what baby?” Hunter asked, but no one spoke, not until they managed to calm Amber who sobbed loudly

“Her majesty was pregnant my lord…” The doctor replied, as Hunter flared up

“And why didn’t anyone tell me…why” he whispered coldly. The doctor and nurses drew backward; they do not want to incur his wrath. He looked at his mum and then Emmett

“You knew right….you both knew…” he scoffed, going back to the bed, as he tried taking Amber’s hand in his, but she shoves it off

“Don’t touch me…you went there to protect me…you haven’t been there for me…arghh…now my baby is gone…gone.

I tried telling you about it…but anytime..i tried..it’s either you are angry about something..or never in the mood to see me. I’m your wife for goodness sake…the queen of Vampic Fall.

But you are treating me like trash…you only show me love when it’s time for love making, but aside that..you are just too selfish to gain more power.

I hate you Hunter….for making me lose my child….my first fruit…the heir to the throne…” She screamed on top of her voice.

“All you are always after…is getting your enemies and nothing more…always on Lazarus case…”

“Shut up!!!!” Hunter growled, folding his hands into a tight fist. He had heard enough; if she weren’t in this condition, he would have slam her head to the wall for talking rudely to him.

He is a god and should be shown reverence, never to be insulted in any form, guilty or not.

Amber continued to weep, wrapping her arms round her body as she lay on the bed.

“What did you say happened to her, doc” Hunter asked, not turning to stare at him.

“She ate something poisonous my lord” The doctor replied, nervously

“And who is in charge of her food”

“Her personal maid, I have asked for her to be locked up as we await your arrival” Thana replied him this time. He sighed, and turned to glare at Emmett

“We are not done yet…report to my chambers in an hour time. Guard!” he called out, as one of the guard he came with ran in

“Get me Jezebel….” He whispered to his hearing alone, and went out of the ward, heading to the palace Dungeon
Emmett glared at Thana before going towards Amber

“Hey…it’s gonna be ok…don’t cry too much…it’s not good or your health…please” he muttered into her ear, placing a soft kiss on her head, before leaving.

Thana only watched, biting her lips. She thought of a way to stop Emmett from going to meet Hunter, and how did Jezebel get caught in this mess.

She shook her head…no..she won’t allow her long time buried secrets to surface, a secret should remain a secret as long as she is alive.

Jezebel’s POV
I came out of my hiding place, after making sure that everyone had left the throne room. Being a princess, I behold authority to send out the guards who were placed in charge of guiding the throne room.

I asked them to leave, stating that the throne room needed to be cleaned and rearranged. They were given strict order not to leave their duty post, but would they disobey a princess..no.
Staring at the little egg in my hand, I heave a sigh having different thoughts running though my mind.

I flashed back to Onyx’s words during our hot make out section.
“I need the trident.” He had said

“What…that’s impossible…I can’t get it for you” I snapped back
“Then consider yourself dead…because I will make sure that I reveal to the whole kingdom that you poisoned the queen. I will start from the palace…do you want that?” He smirked, pushing his rod into my hole

“You won’t do that…” I gritted, pushing him off me. He grinned, getting up

“I won’t just do that…I will ki*ll you too…I will do it…slowly…” he snapped, forcefully grabbing my neck. He sniffed my face, revealing his hard sharp and long fangs. I tried to free myself, but he squeezed my b00b, pushing me to the bed and came in between.

“Get off me Onyx” I yelled changing into my vampire form, but he stopped me from doing so, by pinning me tightly. He spread my legs part and began thrusting in roughly

“Arghhh…stop it…you are hurting me” I growled painfully

He laughed and increased his pace…banging me fiercely

“I will f**k you till you accept the deal….haahaah” he laughed and continued his unholy act. I was getting weak; he was far stronger than I am. And just as if I was compelled, I agreed to get it for him. He stopped and kissed me hungrily.

And here I am, standing in the throne room, looking at the trident which is stuck in a hole close to the throne, a meter away from where I stood.

According to Onyx, he only wanted to use the trident from something important, and will return it after he is done with it. If I do not agree with him, my secret will be exposed, and that’s treason. I won’t risk that.

The egg in my hand is to help me disappear after pulling the trident out of where it’s being placed in. I will have to break it on the ground.

The trident can only be pulled out by a royal; now is the right time for me to know if truly I am a royal, or not. If I am, I will pull it out without any effect, but if not, then it won’t bulge.

I held the egg firmly in one hand and climbed up the five huge stairs that led to the throne. I breathed in and out before placing my right and on the trident.

I gave out a last breath and pulled it out, but instead of coming out of the hole, with the force I used, I found myself flying into the air; a loud sound, more like an earthquake erupted from it; I landed on the ground two meters away, as the egg broke.

Dungeon~~
“What did you put into the queens food…I am asking you for the last time” Hunter growled, his claws springing out, as the maid quiver, shaking her head. Her body was shivering; she had already been flogged severally by the guards before Hunter came in. She could feel heat of pains electrifying her skin

“I didn’t poison her…I can never do that to my queen…no” She cried out in pains. Hunter grew angrier, his claws extended, he was about slitting her throat with it when Onyx barge in, stopping him

“The maid is innocent..i know the real culprit my lord” he noted, warning a mischievous smile

Hunter paused to glare at him

“You are not welcome down here Onyx..i didn’t call for you…and how did you know that the queen was poisoned.” He gritted
Onyx chuckled

“Don’t forget too quickly my lord…that I am a priest..and as a priest, I must know about everything going on in this kingdom. I am the mouthpiece of the goddess…I see the past, present and future. The maid isn’t guilty; and if you don’t mind, I have a proof” he clamps his fingers together wearing a wicked grin.

“What do you have to show for…Onyx” Hunter gnashed his teeth while speaking

“Let me…do this…just watch and see for yourself” he replied, throwing up dust into the air. The dust circulated the air for a while and formed a projector.

In it, they could see the maid responding to Jezebel, how she was sent into the inner kitchen and how Jezebel poisoned the food. Hunter boiled with rage on watching the scene. How dare she commit a treason offence…why? He thoughts

“Release the maid” he spoke out as the guards carried out the order. The maid was taken out of the dungeon. Just as he was about saying another word, a loud sound boomed from the throne room, causing the earth to shake. It sounded like a bomb explosion

Immediately, a guard ran in, breathing heavily
“My lord…it’s the princess…she was found in the throne room…with a broken skull, having a seizure” He rushed his words.

“No….no!!!!!!!!!!” Hunter roared and dashed out of the dungeon room

Onyx smirked, happy at the turn of event. He had lied to Jezebel about the egg. It was not meant to make her vanish, it will only make the trident appear in the shrine, if she had succeeded in pulling it out, but once she inhale the smoke which will come out of it, she will pass out

He had planned everything the way he wanted it to be. He smiled brightly, looking round at the cages in the dungeon. His eyes caught up with the cage where Celeste was placed. They all had been separated and placed in different cages.

He walked towards it, holding unto the bar, while she glared daggers at him. She looked dirty and worn out from the hard labour they were forced to do.

“You will be the next in line…dear Princess Celeste of Vampic fall…haahaaha” he muttered. She frowns not knowing what he is getting at, why will he call her a princess, perhaps his usual mockery? She didn’t reply him

“Once I place my hand on that trident…then consider yourself dead….you and your comrade…” he winked. She scoffed, getting on her feet as she walked closer to the bar

“You won’t live to see that day” She snarled at him, spitting on his face
