 CHAPTER FOUR 

Ameliah walked endlessly till her feet began aching. She sat down tiredly on a bench and held her face with her hands…

No one has a f****ng job to offer me? She thought as she ran her hands in her long black hairs.

Suddenly a car passed by her and splashed water all over her body. The driver opened the door and came out of it…

“Hey, are you blind you splashed water all over my body” She said fuming in anger as she glared at the the man…

“And so?” The man said with a cold expression…

Ameliah gasped then she Behan yelling at the top of her voice…

“You splashed water all over me and you dare come out of your ugly car and show me your ugly face just to say ‘and so'” She said while mimicking his voice at the end.

Stephen exhaled loudly

“Stop barking and go and find yourself a job rather than standing here and polluting the eyes of the passerby”Stephen said with his hands in his pocket…

“How dare you!!” She said and raised her hands to slap him but he caught it midway and glared at her while adding pressure in her arm

“Never you dare try and raise your filthy hands on me. And also the next time I’ll cross path with you, trust me you’ll regret it” Stephen said and threw her arms..

She held her bruised arm wincing in pain as she watched Stephen enter his car and drove away…

“I hate you!!”Ameliah said as the people stared at her.

She picked her bag and walked sway. She stopped when she saw a poster. She smiled happily as the post was saying a maid was needed in a mansion.

She hurriedly took a taxi which drove her to the mansion. She then payed the taxi driver and stared at the mansion…

“So huge and beautiful?” She whispered.

She then rang the bell and not long the door opened a woman, probably in her early forty.

“Good day mam, I’m looking for a job and I saw a post saying you needed a job here” She said with a smile

The woman eyed her from head to toe like she was some insect before she said…

“Follow me”

Ameliah smiled happily and followed her. She continue staring at the beauty of the house.

“Here’s your room.” The woman said with a scoff…

“Your uniform will be given to you very soon. While waiting you have to master all this rules.”She said while giving her a piece of paper.

Ameliah gasped as she saw the never ending list. She looked back at the woman and nodded…

“One thing, I don’t tolerate tardiness and laziness.” She said and left before Ameliah could speak.

Ameliah closed and stared at the room, it was smaller but at least she had a place to sleep. There was a bed, a wardrobe and a table with a chair….

She opened her bag and began fixing her dresses in the wardrobe. When she was done, she sat down on her bee and began going through the list.

*Lateness is not tolerated
*All the maid here are expect to pack their hair in a bun.
*They master does not like spicy food, no spicy food in the house
*Never interrupt the master when he’s talking…NEVER

Her brows raised higher and higher as she continued to read the list. A knock interrupted her reading session. She stood up and attended to the person knocking…

“Madam Louise, asked me to hand you’re this and she said you wear this and come to the kitchen in ten minutes or else you’re fired” One of the maid said…

She took the uniform and quickly stripped to wear it wear it…

“Babe, who is that girl you were talking to?” Jessica asked, already getting jealous.

“I dong really know her, just wanted to check if the the car tyre was bad and I came face to face with her” Stephen said as he packed his car.

Jessica smiled hearing what he said. He got out of the car and Jessica did too, they began walking to Jessica’s house…

“So,why does your father want to see me?” Stephen asked as he walked to the entrance…

“I don’t know” Jessica said as she smiled which Stephen failed to notice…

They both entered the house and he was shown where to sit, he sat down and not long after Jessica’s father walked in…

“Greetings Stephen” He said

Stephen simply nodded with his hands in his pocket.

“What do you want Mr Warburton?” He said…

Jessica dad smiled and said…

“Oh I see you’re in a hurry. The reason why i called you here is because, you know thats the werewolf and vampires are in a little tiny war right now. So I want us to sign a treaty of peace” He said…

“Sounds fine by me, where’s the treaty so that I should sign” Stephen said…

Jessica’s father chuckled and said…

“You always crack me up you know. The treaty is my beautiful daughter, Jessica.”

Stephen looked at Jessica and said…

“What do you mean by that?”

“What I mean to say is,you marry my daughter as a symbol saying that the werewolf and vampires are okay living together” He said…

Stephen stayed quiet feeling reluctant to agree. The reason he doesn’t know…

“Imagine, the most powerful vampire and the most powerful werewolf getting married and at they end they’ll give birth to very powerful offsprings” He said as he held Stephen’s shoulder.

“I’ll think about that” Stephen said as he stylishly removed his hands.

“I’ll take my leave now” He said as he marched to the entrance.

Jessica held his hand

“Why don’t you sleep over. I miss your touches you know”She whispered seductively in his ears.

“I’m not in the mood” Stephen said then pecked her lips before entering his car as he drove away…

He arrived his mansion and packed his car then he came out of the car then walked to the entrance of his house…

He entered and as usual the maids bowed in greetings to his but he didn’t spare them a glance.

He walled to his room and took a quick shower in order to calm his nerves down…

He hit his hand angrily on the wall making the wall to crack.

That old man is indirectly threatening me He thought…

He sighed frustratedly, and looked at his knuckles. It was already bleeding, he walked out of the bathroom and wore his pants. The bleeding has stopped buy the bruise is still there…

He walked out of the room and walked to the kitchen. He entered the kitchen and a maid was chopping some vegetables…He serves himself some blood on a glass and walked out of the kitchen…

Ameliah sensed some one was in the kitchen and she turned to see who it was but she saw no one. She shrugged and con chopping the vegetables…

He walked back to his room to his room and put on the TV, immediately a news popped on. The news said that there has being a massive killing in a village not far from here and the reason was known…

Stephen quickly switched off the television and threw the remote controller away. No one needs to tell him that it’s Cassius.

He won’t stop until he gets his hands on him and Jessica. Luckily, Stephen posseses another another ability he can mask his scent so that no one would recognize him…

“Why is he so obsessed in finding me?” Stephen said to no one in particular…

He gulped down the remaining blood and walked back to the kitchen. He hates having maid serve him, he prefer doing it himself…

He made to enter the kitchen but suddenly someone bumped into him and the clothes the person was holding all flew in the air.

He held the waist of the person out of reflex and the person seems to have tiny curves…

He removed the clothes that fell on the person face and his eyes narrowed as he saw who it was…

“You again?” Stephen said…

Ameliah gasped as she saw who caught her. Her mind drifted to what he said

Next time we cross path you’ll regret it

Suddenly, the head maid. The person who opened the door for her, madam Louise walked to them and dragged her…

“Sorry master, she’s a new maid and she needs time to adjust. This won’t happen again” Louise said…

Ameliah eyes widened in shock…He’s the master of this house…. Oh no, she tried to slap him earlier…She’s doomed!!

Madam dragged her out of the house…

“I told you to not anger the master right?” Louise said while pacing back and forth..

“I’m sorry madam, I didn’t see him coming. The clothes I had were obscuring me” Ameliah said with her head down…

“No sorry, you’ll be punished for your act”

She dragged her and made her stand in front of a pile of clothes…

“You’re gonna wash all this. Hurry up the rain will soon fall” She said and walked away…

Ameliah looked back at the pile of clothes and sighed. She rolled up her sleeved and sat down then began washing the clothes…

“Stupid clumsiness” Ameliah mumbled while washing the clothes…
