Chapter 40

Her face was glowing in the candlelight as she blew the candles.

She took a small piece and fed that to me and I did the same.

“What did you pray for?” I asked out of curiosity.

“No, I won’t tell you”, she said.

“What? You won’t tell?”, I asked her.

Maybe I sounded a little like that I was threatening her, but it was just for fun.

“No, I won’t tell you” she said without giving up.

“If you didn’t tell then, I will do a special treatment to get the answer” I said.

“Whatever, I won’t tell” she said and turned.

I placed the cake on the table and grabbed her hand.

“You can’t escape from me. I want to know the answer”, I said and held her tightly.

“Why are you always like this, I won’t tell you”, she said and tried to get away from my grip.

I lifted her immediately and carried her to the bed.

I placed her roughly and towered over her.

“Please leave me”, she said, but I didn’t care and I started tickling her.

She started laughing and asked me to stop.

“Say that you will tell me what you prayed for, then I will leave you”, I said.

“Okay, okay, I will tell you,” she said, and I released her from my holding.

She sat up and adjusted her T-shirt and looked at me.

After a small silence,

“I prayed that until my last breath I want to be always with you. In your embrace, in your protection. I want your love forever, and I asked God to never give a situation that will separate us. And I prayed for your good health, happiness, and success, and also I prayed for our family members to live happily and healthy.
And the last thing I prayed was, God I want to be a mother, so please bless me with a beautiful child”, Amanda said.

Hearing that, I realized my Amanda was so selfless.

She prayed for me and asked only for my love and also for our family, apart from that, what she pray for herself?

I don’t know whether a girl will be this kind and lovely.

I am genuinely grateful to have a wife like my Amanda.

And for the last thing, I hope that she will get pregnant soon, And I will do my best level to make that come true.

I looked at her and hugged her tightly.

“Why are you like this? Why are you making me fall this hard for you? If you are being like this I will never ever stop loving you Amanda” I said.

She hugged me back.

“Thanks for everything. You make me feel like I am a special person” she said.

“Yeah, you are my special person Amanda and don’t worry, I will do my best to make you get pregnant”, I said and grinned.

Amanda blushed.

“This is the reason I didn’t want to tell you, see you are making jests of me now”, she said.

“I am not joking”, I said, and kissed her immediately.
