Chapter 71
(Taste of You)

Daniel’s POV
.
I went to Rose’s house that night and picked her in my car. She was dressed in a simple but hot wear. I couldn’t take my eyes off her, and she kind of noticed it, blushing throughout the ride. I won’t want to pretend, but Rose is indeed a rare gem.

She has been my crush for a whole year; I couldn’t ask her out because I thought she was with Gary.

Talking about that bas***d, Emerald told me he dumped her and made her look bad to other classmate. I wasn’t surprised though, he has always been a bully and player.

Didn’t know what Rose saw in him in the first place. I’m still surprised why Emerald decided to go for his birthday party.

All I have to think about now is Rose; Gary might have broken her heart, but I am here to mend it. We ate to our fill in a classic restaurant, talking about random things.

We laughed at funny remarks, enjoying our perfect moment. Afterward, we decided to stroll down the street, scooping from the cones of ice-cream that we bought alongside the road. It wasn’t that late yet, so we still had enough time to chat.

Though, before this dinner date, we had been conversing a lot online. I might have not told her about my feelings for her, but with my flattery words and stares, she should have gotten the message. I really wanna tell her now, but my heart is thumping really hard.

What if she rejects me, having this thought that I am her best friend’s big brother and all that. I thought, but shrugged it off

“Can we sit over there” I asked, pointing to a sideway bench. She nodded as we took our seat. We didn’t say a word for a while. I wonder what is going on in her mind.

“Ermm…Rose”
“Yes…” She responded, looking at me

“What do you think about me?” I asked. She shrugged

“Erm…I think you are cute, funny, kind…you are a good guy Daniel” She stated, nodding her head. I felt like blushing

“Thanks”

“You look beautiful…” I muttered, palming her cheek with my hands, as I caress it a little. Our eyes locked, I find it hard saying another word and the atmosphere was getting intense.

I pulled my hand away as we both look the other side. I heard her chuckle shyly
“Thanks”

I nodded. I pulled her hands into mine, holding them softly, why looking into her eyes
“I know that this might sound weird, or so…but I have no choice but to say it, I can’t hold it any longer.

You see..Rose…I like you…wait did I say like?” I grimace

“I love you Rose…I love you so much, and I have always loved you…just didn’t have the courage to tell you about it.

I thought you were still dating Gary…so..i..erm..just had to stay off. But I can’t hold it anymore; I want you to know about my feelings for you” I muttered, looking deeply at her

She broke the eyes contact looking elsewhere, as she tried pulling her hands from mine. My heart broke

“I….i..don’t know what to say..Daniel..i just….don’t know”

I pulled her chin, turning her face to stare back at me

“Be my girlfriend Rose…please..i will fill up the hole in your heart, trust me.” I stated. She sighed, rubbing her temple uneasily

“I…erm…”

“I’m not expecting an answer now, if you wanna think about it, then I’m ok with it” I cut her short, not prepared to hear a heart breaking comment

She nodded

“Ok”

Immediately Jezebel ran out, Hunter entered. He had a puzzled look on his face as Thana became shock on seeing him, but tried to comport herself. Was he listening to their conversations? She thought, but with the expression on his face, she believed he wasn’t eavesdropping.

Hunter on the other hand saw Jezebel rushed out with tears in her eyes; he wondered what might have triggered that.

“Mum” He called going in fully, as Thana’s expression changed to an angry. Jezebels’ voice kept ringing in her mind. Why will Hunter do such thing to his Lil sister?

“What happened to Jezebel? She was in tears” he stated, but Thana continued to fume. He paused and stared intently at her. No doubt, Thana might have done something to make jezebel cry that way.

“What is going on, you called for me…now I’m here…what do you have to say, nothing…just staring at me huhn..” Hunter mocked and chuckled

“What have you been doing to your sister…Hunter?” She asked in a harsh voice

“I didn’t get you mum”

“You both have been f***king each other under this roof…hun…answer me”
Hunter scoffed, walking towards a couch and sat in it

“Is that why you called me here, to ask such questions”
“Answer me Hunter…I am your mother…you might be a god now, but the fact that I gave birth to you still remains”

“Fine…yea..we f**ked a lot, but does anyone have a problem with that? We are adult for goodness sake”

“She is your sister Hunter…what the hell do you mean?”

“It doesn’t matter…though I have stopped it already. Jezebel is always having this crazy s*x urges and whenever there is no one to satisfy her I help her with it.

It’s been long I have anything with her anyway…” He snapped, but his face betrayed him. Thana didn’t take that as true

“This is outrageous Hunter…It’s against the goddess wish”

Hunter rose to his feet, already pissed

“Whatever…..wait, was that why she ran out of here crying…you hit her right…and called me for this silly talks? Anyways..i’m done, I’m out of here…” He grimaced, turning to leave

“Hunter” Thana called. He pause his steps and turned to look at her with arms folded

“That’s not the main reason why I called for you. But jezebel came in here and told me about it, I don’t want it to repeat itself. The elders must not know about the incest going on in the palace” She commanded

Hunter shrugged, not concerned about anyone’s thought

“It’s about Onyx….you need to be careful around him. He is after the throne Hunter..and trust me, he will do anything to get it”

Hunter walked closer

“So why did you bring him in the first place..look mum…If anything happen to the throne or trident, then it’s your fault. And as for Onyx….” He let out a croak smile

“Leave him to me to deal with”

Thana gulped down as she watched him leave. Hope she hasn’t used her hands to create a mess?” She thought, fearing for Its possible outcome

“Nah….try again…you need to be focus this time. All you just need is to imagine the power taking over you from your mind…okay” Lottie explained for the umpteen times as I tried it again. This time I decided to stay focus, and it worked well.

I closed my eyes, sighing deeply, as I forced the power out in a gentle pace, as it overwhelmed me. The next minutes, my feet were off the ground, I could feel my petite body oozing in the air. I was yet to open my eyes, but Lottie voice made me do so

“Wow…” She exclaimed, I opened my eyes, smiling brightly as I looked down at her from above. My height skipped a bit seeing the number of height I had covered

“Arghhh” I shouted in fear, as I began going down with full speed, I managed to pull myself up again and landed on the ground, avoiding much injury. Lottie shook her head disappointedly. I got up wearing a funny grin

“You are completely good with bringing out your powers and not make it control you. But I think there is more things we need to work on, and that’s fear”

“Well, it’s not my fault that I am scared of height. The last time I used the power, I wasn’t in my right state of mine, it took over completely”

“And that is what we are gonna work on, because you will be going up much often.”

Violet kept on cursing loudly as she tried making portal out of the freezing land, but it wasn’t yielding. She cursed Lottie the more for putting her in such a place where there isn’t any exit, except the use of magic.

She kicked off the snowballs from her feet, groaning loudly. She tried it again and again but it only disappointed her more.

She didn’t want to give up, she really need to be out of there. She tried the spell again, but concentrated more on her location. A portal appeared in front of her, showing London. She sighed, satisfied at the location as she stepped into it.

“Lottie…here I come”

Emerald’s POV
.
Audrey brought me into a well arranged room, instead of the restroom.

“I thought we were heading to the restroom” I muttered, looking at her. She shook her head

“No…there is actually a drier here, I think we can make use of it to dry the dress a bit, while we wait for Billie to get the towel.” She stated, as I nod.

“Never knew this club has guest rooms” I muttered. She chuckled

“Sure it does, most clubs have guest room for their client who wanna have…you know” She winked. I quickly understand her point.

She went towards a cupboard bring out the drier as she connected it to the socket. She began drying my drying the cloth, but it didn’t help much, it was really soaked. I will have to take it off for her to do it better, but the towel is not yet here.

“Hmm…I don’t know why Billie is taking long. Well, that girl is a snail when it comes to errand; I don’t know why I asked her to go get the towel in the first place. Let me go look for her, I will be back in a jiffi”

“Ok” I replied and watch her leave.

Few minutes later, Audrey didn’t return, neither Billie. I was getting tired of waiting. Maybe I should just go home in the wet dress. There is no point waiting any longer, the main event of the party had been carried out

I got up and walked towards the door, I pulled the knob but it wouldn’t bulge. I pulled it again furiously, then it became dawn on me that it had been locked from outside.

I gasp; did Audrey deliberately lock me up, but why.

“Is this some kind of prank or what” I thought. Just then, I heard the sound of a door opening. I turned to look at the bathroom door as a figure stepped out.

“Gary?” I called. Was he in there all this while?

He smirked. He was holding a cup of liquor in his right hand, while the other hand was in his pocket. He is currently really high, looking at his eyes, they were red. He might have taken a hard drug or so.

“Hey Emerald….you look f**king hot” he whispered, walking closer
I shivered, and step backward, but my back hits the door

“What do you want from me…I need to get out of here” I yelled. He chuckled.

“Scream as much as you can, the rooms here are sound proof..and you know what that means. I want you Emmy…I wanna have a taste of you.

Do well to cooperate with me, trust me…you will enjoy every bit of it” I snickered, dropping the cup, as he pulled off his belt, releasing his manhood.

It then became dawn on me, this was a set up. The girls betrayed me, they had planned everything with Gary…how dump am I” I deadpanned.

I was yet to ooze out of my thought when I felt his hand on my hair, roughly pushing me on the bed, as he got on top.

“Help!!!!!”

“And what if I say…yes” Crystal replied

D’Arcy didn’t move, he folded his fist trying to keep his anger in check. He went towards the bed and sat on it, still not looking behind to see what she is doing.

“Leave this room immediately…leave now..if you don’t want me to hurt you” he said to her, his voice sounded different but she cared less.

She was determined to have her time with him, and now is the right opportunity for it. She can’t trade it for anything.

Instead of leaving, she stripped to the last piece of clothing on her, and walked seductively towards him. She believes he wants it too, but doesn’t want to show it. So she will have to make the first move

She drew closer behind to and tried touching his back, but he shut her off

“Don’t touch me…leave before I lose it” He warned. He doesn’t seem to know what is wrong, he suddenly started to feel strange and his hunger for blood taste increased. This is not because he is angry, no..it’s something else. If she comes any closer he might hurt her.

But the arrogant and stubborn Crystal wouldn’t hear of it.

“Do you wanna lose all this pretty things I have for you, come on…your little girlfriend won’t be able to give you a bit” She mocked, and turned his face forcefully towards her as she smashes her lips on his.

He tried pushing her off, but she wasn’t ready to resist. She continued to kiss him maliciously as she took his hand and placed it on her b00bs

“Please f**k me..i wanna have a taste of you” She moan. D’Arcy had had enough of it, he pushed her off with his strength, getting off the bed.

He tried to leave still not wanting to hurt her, he has gotten to the level where he needs to stay away from a human, he needed to leave the club before he changes fully.

She grabbed his hand and dragged him back to the bed forcefully; and that is where he lost it. His fangs erupted in full force, same as his claws. He grabbed her neck without warning, pushing her towards the headboard, where he pinned her to it.

Her eyes popped out on seeing his monster face as she tried screaming, but it came out choking. She struggled to free herself from his grip, but it was just a waste of time.

“You wanna have a taste of me…right? Now you will have it” He uttered in dangerous voice and sank his full lengthy fangs into her neck
