Chapter 69
(Igniting the Final Stage)

Onyx’s POV
Walking into the shrine, I went toward the wall mirror, which I use to monitor things in the human world. I connected Deleon and he appeared in it after few seconds

“What is taking your time in that place, ain’t you done with the mission yet” I snap at him before he could speak

“The prince is keeping a low key; I think he noticed us trying to get him, so he has been careful. We wanna stay put for now to make him believe we are gone and attack in full force” he replied. I scoff

“You shouldn’t wait for all that, that bas***d is just a kid. Clear him off immediately and come back here, we have works to do”

“Has Lazarus been captured?”

“No…that idiot ruin our plans, he banished him against our wish”

“What?? Hunter is being childish, he isn’t fit for the throne” Deleon muttered

“And that’s why we are gonna take it from him. He doesn’t know about the seal, else he wouldn’t have sent Zarus into exile. You need to be fast and come back, the war is about to start, and I will take my post by force” I stated. He nodded and went off

A smile came up on my face, as I rub my beard.

“I will make sure I take off every seed of the royals from this earth, starting from Hunter as the first child of the late king”

Violet raised her hands into the air, invoking lighting, as she tried using it to strike the duo, but Lottie was fast to dodge it.

“I know it’s you Lottie, what did you do to my friend, where is Riana” She yelled with fury, making fire balls

“Oh…you wanna know…she is dead” Lottie snapped. Violet fumed, throwing it at her, but it melted into fireworks.

“You are so foolish violet, you and your queen” Lottie smirked, holding Megan firmly. Violet lurch at her with full speed but wasn’t aware of the trap Lottie had set.

There was an invisible portal that leads to a nowhere land, which Lottie had made with her minds, while Violet was ranting.

The portal shielded her, but Violet wasn’t seeing it, so she ran into it, instead of the duo and vanished from the room, appearing in a place filled with nothing at all but ice and snow. She shivered, getting on her feet to look around.

She gritted her teeth and cursed Lottie

“That b!tch…haarhh…how am I gonna get out of here now” she thought

Meanwhile, Lottie has found her way out of the shrine, appearing in a secured forest far away from the town.

She dropped Megan a large plank and dashed into the wild forest to look for wild fruit, she eventually saw a lot, washed it in a flowing river and went back to Megan who wasn’t awake yet.

She dropped the fruit, and rubbed her palms together, muttering spells, with eyes close. Afterward, she placed her hands on Megan’s chest making her jerk up.

Megan coughed out a little before opening her eyes. She wanted to get up with force thinking she has been captured again by the itches but fell back on seeing Riana (Lottie). She exhale slightly looking dull and weak

“Where are we?” She asked
“In a forest”

“We left the witches’ kingdom?”

“No…we are still in their territory. But this place is far from the main town, it will take a while before they find us. I brought you fruit, have some…”

She was yet to finish her statement when Megan grabbed it from her in a rush, biting into the fruit viciously. She finished one in a minute and went for the other. She hasn’t had any food for days,; she wondered how she manage to survive.

Lottie watched her with a smile on her face
“Ain;t you gonna eat” Megan asked now on the fourth fruit

“Nahh…I want you to be full first”
“You have to take something, at least for the sake of the body you possess”

Lottie nodded, picking a fruit as she bites into it
“Wow…hunger is really bad” Megan said, making Lottie chuckle

“How did you bring me here?”
Lottie explained how she had rescued her after she went into unconsciousness.

“I had been trying to break in since when you were taken in, but the queen had used the trident spell to prevent anyone from entering.

And the fact that I am not in my normal body made it really hard. I was able to enter after you struck her in the chest. The spell broke that second”

“I didn’t know how I did that though, but I felt really strong that moment; after that, it went off, and I returned to my weak self” Megan explained

“Well, it’s not you doing it, it’s the power of the seal that took over your mortal body, making you immortal for that moment.

You are yet to master it, that was why you blacked out when it went back into your mind, giving you access to your body again.

We will need to ignite it again. You need to know how it works Meg. The queen is not dead yet, she is just in a coma state. Her warriors will surely come for us”

“So how am I gonna start…I don’t even know how to call it out.”

“You will use your mind….and we will start from the deepest part of the forest…come on..eat up..we need to do it immediately.

“They call this place forever land; those who live here are totally different from our race.”

“Humans?” Lazarus asked, watching the priestess as she comes closer to him, holding a bowl of soup

“No…they look like humans, but they are not. They are demons…here…have this” She gave him the bowl which he gladly collected.

“Demons?” He asked. He is still dazed about the fact that the person speaking with him is no one but the former priestess of Vampic fall, who Hunter banished.

She was the last person he will expect to see. Now she is telling him about this world which seems different from the others he knows

“Never knew demons have their own territory” he muttered, scooping the soup gently into his mouth

“Yes they have.”
You came here after you were banished”

She nodded, taking a seat

“So you mean that anyone that is banished will appear here…why?” He asked

“No…they can appear anywhere far from the kingdom they were banished from. It can be the human world, or any other vampire kingdom”

“So why did I appear here”
She shrugged

“Perhaps the goddess have plans for you” She smiled brightly. He was still puzzled at all that she meant
“Where did you find me?”

“By the stream close to this hut; that was three days ago” She replied, he choked on the soup

“What??? That’s not possible, I was sent out yesterday..i think”
She shook her head

“You went into unconsciousness due to the power that overwhelmed you. You physical body needed time to be back to posture. But don’t freak out, we will find a solution to making it perfect”

“I don’t get you…I need to go, my mate is in danger…”

“She will be fine….she is save…you need to focus on how to ignite the last stage” She cuts in. He sighed out, looking distress

“How am I gonna do that, I don’t even know how to use it. It is stronger than the magic I perform; it completely takes over me, adding pains to my body”

“All that will stop soon. I will take you to meet the mountain demons…there you will find out who you really are. We haven’t had anyone blessed with the mark of Dracula in a long time…you are different Lazarus…that’s why you were chosen.

“Eat up…we leave now” She ordered, pulling out a cloak from a closet as she throw it at him.

Emerald’s POV

“Arghh..i breathed out, not knowing what to wear. I mean, I do attend birthday parties, and I have once been to a club, that was when I was still with my ex.

I know what they wear to birthday parties and clubs, but here I am, looking for what to wear to Gary’s birthday club party.

I already called Rose and told her about my change of plans. Yea, I didn’t wanna go in the first place, but I won’t wanna leave my boyfriend to go there alone knowing that people like Crystal will fully be available.

And mind you, Audrey and Billie won’t let me rest, they have also been persuading me to go, being their friend per say.

I slump on the bed thinking of nothing in particular when the sound of my phone jerks me up. It is actually a video call from Audrey; I picked it looking into the camera.

“Hey pretty girl” her voice came up with a wide smile which turn into a frown in a sec

“What is that you are wearing…don’t tell me you ain’t dressed yet. The party will start soon, babe..come on” She yelled into the phone. I rolled my eyes and pouted.

Looking at her, she looks really beautiful in the dress she was wearing. I could also see Billie in the background.

She looks hot too, but I couldn’t see their full figure, just part of their body. So I can’t probably say if they are putting on a gown or shirt and pants.

“I don’t have what to wear…I mean, I don’t know what to wear to the party, seriously” I stated

“Awnnn…ok..fine show us your closet, we will help you choose” She said, Billie waved
“Hi Emerald…”

“Hi” I returned the gesture, as Audrey shove her off

“Come on..be fast…ok..check that out, the black glistering dress..whoop, nope…take out the red on”

“No…the blue one is perfect…she should try that out” Billie whined from the background as Audrey glared at her. I simply chuckled placing the phone in a place where they can see my full figure, and tell me how the dress looks

After the argument between the duos, on the dress I should choose, I decided to go for a black strip gown which stopped just above my knees, showing my full curves. The diamond stone on it glitters in the light adding to its beauty.

“Ok guys…I think I will go for this…bye..my boyfriend will be here shortly” I stated, they waved in return
“Bye…just be fast okay” Audrey winked while Billie blew me kisses, before ending the call

I shrug
“Well they ain’t bad after all. Now I will have to fully dress up

“Wow…you look dashing…mehnn” Daniel exclaimed as I walk down the stairs. I rolled my eyes

“Bet your boyfriend is gonna eat you up, it’s not like you both are going on a date…” he winked; I was forced to laugh out.

“Whatever…thanks for the compliment anyway” I smiled. He spreads his hands for a hug which I gladly took.

“Don’t you dare ruffle my hair” I warned when I felt his hand going up there He chuckled and pulled out
“You are also dressed..mind telling me were you are going to?” I asked.

“Ahhh…I erm….i…erm..”
“You look nervous…gosh..i know you are taking a girl out, so tell me, who is she…” I grinned

He gave me a squinting look, not saying anything, as it became dawn on me

“Wait…don’t tell me….it’s Rose”

“Yes…sorry I didn’t tell you..but…I erm..want to take her out for dinner, and she agreed. I told her not to tell you about it, because I know she would have done that.”

“Ohh..come on..i’m ok with the both of you together, and don’t forget to hit the nail on its head today, I hope she accepts you though” I muttered

His smile broadens
“You are the best sister in the world” he muttered
“Awnnn”

I went to hug him again

“You are making me emotional” I mocked

“Humhumm” Someone clears his throat from behind as we turn to see Dave, looking hot and stunning in his dress. He looks like a demi-god making me feel hot inside

“Am I missing something?” he asked stretching his right hand forward for me to take. I was about taking it, when Daniel drew me back

“Huhhun…I’m not done with the hug yet, so you have to wait and hug”

“Please Dave, I need her now, we need to leave immediately”

“No..no..I have every right to hug her, she is my sister” Daniel resorted, their little argument seem funny, well they were clearly joking

“And she is my Mat..girlfriend” He stated, making me wonder what he wanted to say earlier.
“No she…”

“Hey…hey..guys…enough of fighting over me…see ya later brother” I muttered giving him a side hug before going to meet my boyfriend. I softly press my lips on his but he pushed further, kissing me deeply.

“You both should just get out” Daniel yelled making us laugh out

“Go get a girlfriend bro..stop being jealous” Dave resorted as we headed to his car

“Hey…have I told you that I feel like eating you up right now” he muttered, as I hit his chest playfully

“Hey…come on…” I blush

“You are beautiful..I don’t regret having you as mine”

He pulled me closer and engages me in another enticing kiss.

“We won’t leave here today if we continue…come on..let’s go” he muttered, pecking my lips as he opens the car door for me to get in.

“Should I say I’m lucky having a such a caring boyfriend, yea..i’m really blessed”
