Chapter 68
(Power Manifestation)

Witches’ Kingdom
Megan watched as the queen and the priestess converse for a minute, and afterward they came closer to her, wearing an expressionless face.

“Take the cage into the inner room” The priestess commanded as the men who came with them, pulled out the cage poles from the wall, beneath it are wheels.

It looks more like a caravan; with Megan still in it, they pushed it into another opening still in the cave.

This time, they entered into a large hall decorated with carves figures, it looks like a shrine, No one would have noticed that a place like this is built under a cave.

“What the hell you want from me” Megan asked as the queen used magic to flip off the chains. She felt relieved when the chains fell off, making her hand weak in process

“You will need to cooperate with us Megan; we don’t need your lily power, nah, that is for the vampires. We need one thing that has been kept with you for a long time. We need the seal”

“What do you mean…I don’t have any seal” Megan resorted. The queen smiled out a devilish grin

“Well let’s see about that.” She hissed as Megan was force to land on a flat slab, as her hands got chained, her back pressed on it, as she lay, struggling to free herself

“You can’t use your lily power here darling…it won’t work” The queen laughed

The priestess started making some incantations, spreading whitish powder on her skin and lastly collected a diamond ruby from the queen, placing it on Megan’s chest. It came with an infuriating pain, spreading all round her body.

She let out a shrilling scream, trying to push it off, but it remained rigid. The ruby cracked an opening at the surface, as Megan’s began feeling something coming out of her.

“Her power” She gasps, and began fighting back, not minding the bounds used on her hands, she gritted, gnashing her teeth in process

“Now…my queen” the priestess stated with a bow. The queen stepped forward in her glory, holding her staff forward, as a lightning bolt erupt from it and collides with the crack in the ruby.

The connection didn’t cut off, as the queen held the staff firmly muttering spells. She could feel the power of the seal, but the Lily is restricting it from entering the ruby which is a channel that will lead to the staff she is holding, and finally enter her.

“She is holding off…strike her and let her submit” the queen yelled; the priestess brought out an iron rod, she moved towards Megan, who was already jerking. Her eyes were no more having iris, it became pure white, blazing out light; her body began to shake ferociously.

The priestess moved closer holding the iron rod which is now as red as brimstone; she was about striking Megan with it when the lights in her eyes suddenly went off, as her body became still and cold in a matter of seconds.

The lightning bolt went off, and the ruby became dark; everywhere became still that the sound of a needle could be heard if it drops.

“What happened” the queen asked, boiling with rage. The priestess stared at Megan’s unmoving body with confusion. She also doesn’t know what went wrong

“I’m talking to you” the queen roared, but the priestess wasn’t moved, and when she had studied Megan for a while, she turned to look at the queen

“She is dead….i think the power was too strong for her body, she couldn’t control it. She is a weak human” She grimaced

“Can we still take the seal out of her, I can’t go this far to bring her here and loose it again” She snapped

“We can’t…we will need to wake her up” The priestess resorted in the same pace.

“You won’t need that” A voice muttered as they turned to look back at Megan. Their mouth opened in gape as they stared at her already in the air above them.

She wasn’t actually dead, she only went into a hibernating mode; the power of the seal has finally been released; now it’s time for it to work on its own. Her human mind has been pushed to the back of her head.

Just after the priestess turned to face the queen, she had flicker her eyes open, breaking the bounds without force, silently killing the guards around with her mind, which the duo where oblivious off.

She ooze into the air, her breathe mixed with coal and ice mint, while her eyes colour became pure white as earlier.

“This is impossible” the priestess gasps, hitting her staff on the ground to restrict her magic, but it wasn’t her working, it was the seal, so it was useless.

“Haahaaha” Megan’s laughter echoes in the cave, causing an earth quake. The priestess vanished from the scene leaving just the queen, who held the staff firmly, to prevent her body from falling to the ground.

She made a spell with her hands, bringing out large pythons from it; a total number of three. She sent them into the air towards Megan, but the heat emitting from her turn them to ashes before they could strike her.

She smirk watching the queen send more towards her. At least she made use of the trident, stretching it towards her as a sparking lightning ball erupts form it, making her the target.

It hits her sending her backward toward the wall. Megan groaned, pretending to be affected by the hit. This raised a smile on the queen’s face.

She laughed out, thinking she has won, but was surprised to see Megan rising again into the air, looking angrier this time. She gulped down nothing as she watched on

“You are done with your show…now…my turn” Megan smirked. She twitched her wrist sideway, moving her fingers a little, as a spear filled with fire appeared in her hand. She didn’t wait for the queen to think twice before driving it into her chest.

The queen coughed out blood, landing on her knees. Megan staggered backward, filling dizzy in process, she felt really weak in body and mind.

She was about falling to the ground beside the queen who is not yet dead, but unable to move, when someone barge into the room, yelling her name.

“Megan….meg..” Riana (Lottie) yelled running towards her, as she picked her up. She had already gone to unconsciousness.

“Stay with me Megan, stay with me…you are gonna be fine” She assured, and was about leaving when the door blasted open, as Violet stepped in, boiling furiously. Her eyes landed on her queen who was still on her knees, bleeding from the chest with the spear still stuck in it.

She returned her gaze to Riana; she snarled seeing Megan in her arms and got the message

“You b***h…Where the hell are you going to with her?” she seethed, gritting her teeth

Hunter’s Chambers
Hunter entered his room and went directly to the cellar, pouring himself a drink, his personal guard who went in him was forced to leave after been asked to.

“I will call you when I need anything, leave” Hunter ordered coldly, as he bowed
“Yes..my lord” he stated and left

Hunter continued to drink heavily, reminiscing on what had happened earlier. He only pretended to be brave at the battle field, and yes, with the aid of the trident.

He would have engage in a fist fight with Lazarus, he was waiting for him to be exhausted after fight the whole warrior before taking charge, but he suddenly began to change into something that hasn’t happened in years.

He will only sign a death wish by fighting with anyone possessing the gift of Dracula, so the best option was to banish him, before he gets to the final stage of his powers where he can’t bow to the wish of the trident.

He was still in thought when he felt the presence of someone in the room. He didn’t bother to turn, he knows who it is.

“Onyx” he called with a cold and deadly voice

“My lord…what a pleasant way to end a battle fight” Onyx mocked sarcastically, walking in circles, before pausing.
Hunter turned to glare at him

“Should I take that as a compliment?” He snarled. Onyx chuckled not saying a word as the smile on his face vanished

“You shouldn’t have banished him my lord”
“And who the hell are you to tell me what to do?” hunter snapped furiously, smashing the glass cup on the bare floor. Onyx glance at the broken glass, as the wine from it spilled out.

“I am the priest, mouthpiece of the goddess” Onyx resorted, not moved by Hunter’s glare

“Damn you priest…or whatever you call yourself. I brought you back here according to my mum’s wish, and made you the priest, I can as well send you back if you don’t know your place” Hunter grunt walking back to the cellar.

“We needed him to get us the lily”

“I don’t f**king need the lily anymore, do you know what would have happened if I had allowed him to say few more minutes in Vampic fall. Well, I guess you wouldn’t know because you would be dead before trying to know. That bas***d is a devil, so he needs to be banished.”

“But my lord…”

“Now you listen to me” Hunter cut him off walking closer to stare at him in the eyes

“Your work is in the shrine, you belong there. You are not to tell me your opinion except that of the goddess. Leave my sight now…” he snapped. Onyx looked at him for a while and smirked, not leaving his position, and when Hunter returned to the cellar backing him, he gently left the room.

Just after he left, Amber came in having a wide smile on her lips, but was cut short by Hunter’s words.

“I want to be alone” he said without looking at her. She still didn’t listen but walked closer to him

“But baby….” She whined, when he shunned her

“I said leave” he yelled on top of his voice, cracking another glass. Amber whimpered in shock, taking quick pace out of the room. Why is he so angry? She thought

Logan was dragged to the cell where Celeste and Arthur were kept, but he was placed in another cage, different from theirs, but beside each other.

His heart broke on seeing the state of the couple, sitting close to each other, with Celeste head resting on Arthur’s chest.

They look so unkempt and hungry, and Arthur look wounded, he felt anger welling up in him. They were yet to see him, due to the fact that their eyes were closed, not until the clattering sound made by the cage jerked them up.

Logan was pushed inside roughly with his hands chained, Celeste gasp on seeing him. And then the guards who brought him had gone out, she went closer to hold the bars of her cage in order to look into his cage.

“Logan?”She called. Arthur also turned to look towards his direction.

“Celeste, are you ok..are you hurt?” Logan rushed his question. She shook her head

“I wasn’t touched, well, I think not yet, but my mate is seriously wounded. Though most of his wounds have healed up, but he is still weak” She sniffed in.

Logan couldn’t say a word, he doesn’t know if he should comfort her or not. He looked at Arthur who gave him a little smile

“Hi” Arthur muttered, he returned it with a nod and groan

“Are you ok…why are you here?” Celeste asked with concern

“I was captured” he replied. She wanted him to say more, but it seems like she will have to ask

“And Lazarus… …were you able to reach him” She asked, with her heart thumping hard, more like she was gonna hear a bad news, due to the way he sighed out.

“He has been banished from Vampic Fall. He might not be coming soon” He noted
She gasped, as pool of tears filled her eyes

“What..what happened…how…when” She shuttered, Arthur was also having a look of disbelief, he doesn’t wanna belief that Lazarus is gone, he was their only hope

“We came here together and were attacked by Onyx and his beast at first; then Hunter came with the warriors. At a point in the fight, Lazarus began to change into something else, more like invoking the power of Dracula.

I think Hunter got scared for his life and banished him to prevent him from getting to his last stage. But I strongly believe that the trident spell won’t have much effect on him. If truly he is blessed with the mark, then he will be back. Trust me” He stated as Celeste began to sob

Arthur drew closer to comfort her

“Hey…he is gonna be ok..okay” He assured.

“Now I know why he has that huge mark on his back” She mumbled, pressing her face into his chest

Lazarus groan, opening his eyes. He coughed out for while, trying to comprehend his environment. This place doesn’t look like the human world to him, due to the nature of the room he found himself in.

It doesn’t look like the way humans build their houses. This one looks like a hut carve out inside a large tree, well he can’t hold unto his guess until he finds out himself. Getting off the bed he laid on, he sat on it and stretch his body.

He knew what had happened earlier, about Hunter banishing him, and chuckled. He just doesn’t know how he got into a hut like this, or who brought him here. He would have to leave to the human world and check on Drusilla if she succeeded in watching over Lottie’s body.

He frown remembering the fact that he hasn’t receive any news about his mate, has Lottie fulfilled her mission? He felt angry with himself, for letting Megan pass through hell while he couldn’t do a thing.

Since the battle with the vampires is now put on hold, he will have to face the witches if Lottie didn’t succeed.

But what the hell happened to him at the battle field, he thought, getting on his feet, walking towards the wall mirror in the room. He gasped at his reflection.

His deep black hair is no more black, but shinning gold, and his eyes colour has changed to a brownish red. He turned to stare at the mark at his back, but it was no more there? What the hell happened” he thought, perplexed

“The mark will only appear when you start manifesting you power. You are yet to get to the final stage, you just completed the second stage” A voice replied his thought. He froze, turning to find the owner

Right at the extreme of the room is a woman, she seem to be cooking something as she stirs its content in the pot. She was backing him so he was yet to see her face, but the voice reminded him of someone.

“Who are you?” he asked, ready to take defense from any attack. She turned to face him with a smile
“Welcome back to life Lazarus…its’ been a while right” She smirk, he gasps

Who love that Megan’s scene….she is growing gradually….the queen is the first first to taste her power….. haahaaha
