Chapter 63
(Pregnant Secret)

D’Arcy entered Emerald’s room still smiling at what Daniel had said. He had knocked on the door but got no response, so he decided to go in.

“Hey Pumpkin” he called out wriggling his brow, but frown when he didn’t see her in. Where is she? He thought, and just then, he heard the shower running. She might be in the bathroom

“Fine..i will just wait for her here” he thought, going towards her bed to sit on it.

“Or should I just go into the bathroom…naah…she is going freak out and yell at me for barging in” He chuckled, imagining her expression if he tries doing it. He was still in his thought when he heard a silent growl beside him.

He turned to look and saw Emerald’s dog on the bed not far from where he sat, it looks really angry, more like it was gonna eat him that moment.

“Hey Goldie…” he smiled at it; it immediately started barking at him

“Hey…shush…you shouldn’t be a bad guy today..okay”

The dog kept barking hard, howling along, why D’Arcy was trying to calm it, but it won’t listen, it tried biting his hand.

Just then, the bathroom door opened with Emerald rushing out in a haste to see what is going on with the dog, at that same moment, the dog lurch at D’Arcy, clawing his face as he grabbed his hand with its fangs, while he tried freeing himself

“Goldie no!!!” Emerald yelled, going towards the scene to pull her dog’s mouth out of his hand. They both struggled to free his hand when suddenly the towel wrapped round her body fell off to the ground.

She gasp loudly, making D’Arcy look her direction, but she was fast to pick it up, wrapping it tightly round her chest with her heart pounding fast.

The dog had already released his hand and scurried towards Emerald who picked him up.

She gave D’ Arcy this embarrassed look; he gulped down his saliva

“I…i…didn’t see anything…I swear” he shuttered, avoiding her eyes, since he understood why she stared at him that way. She nodded still breathing hard her from the struggle, caressing Goldie’s back.

“Goldie what was that for” She asked the dog, who simply purred. She returned her gaze on D’Arcy who is bleeding on his face and hand

“What happened, what did you do to him?”

“I didn’t do anything, it just attacked me”

“That’s not possible..Goldie doesn’t attack strangers or anyone, it’s a good dog” She huffed, going to drop Goldie at the far end of the bed

“It has never liked me”

“This is the first time you are meeting my dog, how then did you know that it has never liked you”

D’Arcy sighed not knowing what to reply her. It’s true that this is the first time she will see him with the dog, but how will he tell her that the first time he came to this environment, the dog had seen him on the balcony of his apartment, and barked at him.

She won’t believe him. So he didn’t say a word, instead he covered the wound on his wrist with his other hand. It’s going to close up soon, so he needed to leave so that she won’t find him strange.

“We need to get you treated” She stated

“No…I’m fine..I will leave now” He rushed his words walking towards the door. The tension in the room is getting too much, why the hell will her towel fall off? He thought

“That’s a dog bite Dave, it’s poisonous” Emerald called after him

“I will get it treated myself” he yelled back and left. She sighed touching her temple. She knew why he left; she damn embarrassed herself by making the towel slip. She should have tightened it well.

“And why the hell will Goldie hurt him that bad, what did he do to it” She thought again, unable to unravel the puzzle.

Queen Thana’s Chambers~
Thana lay on the bed, half nude in the upper part with her back facing upward as the maids massage it with ointment. She felt relaxed, enjoying every touch of the massage, with her eyes closed.

She kept reminiscing on all her achievement for the past years. About four centuries ago, she was a no body until the king married her, despite not being his mate.

She had vowed in her heart to ki*ll any mate if he later found one, but fortunately for her, he couldn’t find his mate, and the kingdom needed a queen to rule with him.

Being a smart maiden that she is, she maneuver her way into making the king sleep with her, so as to have a ground in the palace. She became his mistress before he finally made her queen, after having Hunter.

She smirked, believing that all that happened were the wishes of the goddess for her, because no one knows how she played her cards.

“Hmmm..life is beautiful, only when you are smart enough to overcome the challenges in it” She thought, and smiled out. Just then, the maid stopped touching her back. She didn’t bother opening her eyes to see why she did.

“Perhaps she wants to pick up the ointment” She thought, and just then she felt the hand. But this time it wasn’t massaging her back, it was caressing her.

The touch doesn’t look like that of a lady, it felt like a man’s hand, and the tingles that comes along with the touch made her wet. She flicker her eyes open to see who took the maid’s position.

She was cut short by a wet kiss on her lips, making her moan into his mouth

“Onyx…come on…” She whined, trying to push him off, but he didn’t let go

“Don’t pretend like you don’t want this.” He stated, pushing off the towel covering the remaining part of her body, climbing into the bed. She bit her lips staring seductively at him.

“I just want us to be careful” She said

“The door is locked, no one is coming in..” He replied, going for her lips again. They kissed and smooch for a minute before breaking up

“You sent the maid away…how?” She chuckled. He smirks, licking his lips, as he stared at her nude self

“I compelled her to leave…so that I can have you to myself…isn’t that what you want” he returned a question, trialing kisses on her neck down to her cleavage.

She blushed

“I’m damn wet…just take me” She moaned again, as they engage in a hot make out section. She tried keeping her moans low, so as not to attract figures.

“Don’t worry, just moan it out, no one is gonna hear you” he whispered still thrusting into her. After they reach climax, he pulled her closer and whispered into her ear

“So when am I gonna get what I want…it’s time already Thana” he called her by her name. She frowned, getting to sit on the bed, giving him a dazed look

“What do you mean; you have already gotten what you want. I released you from where you have been held captive for centuries.

You are now a free man, serving the kingdom as the priest, you have the queen as your s*x mate, you have everything you need, Onyx. What else do you want?” She asked

“No..Thana…I am yet to get the thing I need, the main reason for all the fight of old, the main reason why I agreed to get dark magic.

The main reason why I sold my soul to the devil, to get the power to invoke the ring of Enchante, from the hidden place of the shrine, where it had been kept for ages.

The main reason why I wanted you to be mine and not for that idiot who banished me.” he paused and drew closer to her, holding her jaw in his hand.

“I..want..to rule” He dragged his words, giving her that annoying smirk. Her eyes popped out in shock, she flung his hand off her chin

“What the hell is going on Onyx, we had a deal. Hunter is to rule while you stay by his side”

“That wasn’t the deal Thana, you are trying to change things just because he is your son”

“No..not that. It is because you are just being greedy and selfish. The throne was never yours from the start, and it can never be yours Onyx, read my lips.

I won’t watch you overthrow my son and sit on that throne. Never!!’ She yelled, standing on the bed.

He watched her drama for a while, getting on his feet as he wore on his cloth. He turned to face Thana who was still boiling in rage.

“I will give two weeks to get me the trident…if you fail to do so, then consider this palace to be a war ground. I won’t leave the throne for Hunter, it’s either he leaves it peacefully, or I make him leave by force.” He gritted

“You won’t be able to do anything Onyx…you won’t, Hunter is already a god, he has the ring of Enchante on his finger, he has the trident that rules the kingdom, you will never be able to defeat him” She howled

He laughed out loud

“I made him the god Thana..i used dark magic, doesn’t that ring anything to you. It won’t last long, and as for the ring, I invoked it and placed it on his finger.

I can as well take it back…read my lips. I am Onyx, you can never underestimate me, because you don’t know much about my powers, you only know about what you have seen me do, not what you haven’t seen me perform.

“About the trident, you will bring it to me” he winked, smiling as he left the room.

“Arghh” Thana growled, pulling her hairs as she slump on the bed

“Riot in hell Onyx…bas***d” She yelled after him

“No…this isn’t happening, not now that every of my plan is in place. I need to warn Hunter…I really need to warn him” She thought

Queen Amber’s Chamber~
“You have nothing to worry about my queen, you are completely fine” the palace doctor said grinning, as Amber sighed in confusion.

“Really, then why do I feel so sick” She muttered rubbing her temple. The maid behind her was doing her job well by massaging her shoulders.

“Well..let’s say it’s a good news” the doctor replied, still smiling. He brought out a paper from his bag and handed it to her.

“Good news” She asked, he nodded

“The good news is that you are two weeks pregnant my queen”

“Arghh” She gasped in surprise

“Really” She asked, grinning. He nodded. The maids around could also be seen smiling, even if it clearly didn’t reach their heart.

Amber has been really hard on them lately; perhaps the pregnancy hormones increased her harsh attitude.

“Wow..this is good news, the king must hear this I’m so happy” She grinned rubbing her stomach.

“I will take my leave now my queen, but remember, you are in the first trimester, so you shouldn’t work yourself out to much, in order not a hurt the baby. Also be cautious of what you eat and drink, it’s very important.

The baby will also need lots of blood. You might suddenly start having urges to drink from a live source, its better you do so, to avoid complications.” He advised. She nodded, understanding every word he said.

“Thank you doctor, I will do as you say, you can leave” She replied him, still caressing her tummy. He gave a curt bow before leaving.

“Hmm…now my plans are working out in place, gosh, I need to tell dad about this. He is going to be so happy” She bit her lips, getting off the chair. The maid who was massaging her back tried assisting her but she shush her off.

“Don’t touch me with that filthy hand” She snapped, making the maid wonder if she hasn’t been the one massaging her shoulders few minutes ago.

They all bowed to her as she exits the chambers, with the aim of going to meet her dad. They scurried behind her but manage to keep a safe distance not to annoy her.

Jezebel was coming out of her chambers to receive fresh air. She went directly to the garden where she met some maids watering the flowers.

She wanted to chase them off but stopped when she heard what one of them said. They didn’t notice her presence, so she listened keenly to their conversation.

“The deed has been done, now the queen will have every reason to bark at us anyhow, just because we are her maids” One of them said, while the blonde one watched confusedly

“Why do you say so?”

“Don’t tell me you haven’t heard…the queen is pregnant, the royal doctor confirmed it just now. He told her to…” She paused and gasp on seeing Jezebel, who gave her a bad look

“Go on..i thought you were about saying something” Jezebel asked the maid, who was already shivering to her feet.

She shook her head

“What happened to the queen…answer me” jezebel yelled

“She..said that the queen is pregnant” The blonde one replied, hurriedly. Jezebel frowned then scoffed.

She could feel her blood boiling. How dare she get pregnant, she thought, and turned to the two maids who were already on their knees

“So you now find joy in spreading the news right…huhh” She snapped. The maids shook their heads

“Please forgive us, we won’t gossip about it anymore” They pleaded. She hissed and walked out of the garden, having one place in mind; Amber’s chamber.
