“I messed up big this time didn’t I?” Bwalya asked.

“Huh… is that what you asking? Okay let me answer you!” Max shouted.

“Max, let it go!” Chongolo said calmly.

But he didn’t seem like he was going to let anything go, from the look of things he was ready to punch his friend in the face right there.

“Am not letting anything go! I ask you, I bloody asked you Bwalya and you gave me your damn word that you were not going to kiss a damn bottle with your idiotic professional friends of yours. But no!…” He said harshly. Nothing was going to stop Max from shouting, he had already snapped.

“Max calm down man…” Peter said as he tried to move him aware from Bwalya.

“No Peter… let me tell him. It seems he still doesn’t get how much he has messed up.”

“Am sorry! I’ve said am sorry…” Bwalya sobbed as he sat on the ground.

“Sorry! sorry my foot. You couldn’t hold your word man – you couldn’t and sorry ain’t going to cut it this time around.” Max yelled.

Outside stood Max, Chongolo, Peter and Bwalya not forgetting the young lady that came with him. At this point, she had been beaten and poured a bucket of water by Eunice.

Maluba and Rose had made sure to lock Eunice inside the house and three the keys on the window just to make sure she didn’t leave the room.

Bwalya had received his fair share of beating. As he sat there his face was full of nail marks and blood because water wasn’t the only thing that caught him… Eunice got a pressing Iron and hit him on the face with it.

AN HOUR EARLIER

“Guys! Thanks for the alcohol mwaumfwa! Naya, first tushaneko…” He said as he walked back and forth just to find his balance.

“Nailwala lelo ka?” One of the guys asked.

“Kale yalwala ifwe muntuwandi. Ever ready for the fight.” He giggled as he did a fist bump with another lady that sat on the laps of one of the guys.

All that was left was for the lady he was dancing with to catch up with him and they were off to his place. The only good part about Bwalya when drunk was him refusing to drive.

“Taxi!” He called out as he stood by the road side.

It was now dark and the street light had illuminated through out the area which made the night look beautiful.

“Come here girl.” He said as the same young lady stood close to him, he kissed her as just there even gave her a spanking.

“You mine for the night waumfwa (you’ve heard)?” He asked her.

“Have always been yours daddy!” She giggled.

“Yes! yes and tonight ndeku-dinda (Am stamping you)” He said as he groaned.

The taxi driver came to where they stood. Just one sight and he recognised Bwalya, he was one of the regular drivers that took him home when times like these arose.

“8th New Kamenza, Chanda Mulilo Road!” He said in a sharp voice.

“You need a promotion man!” Bwalya said as he let the young lady enter the taxi first.

“I don’t think switching of your phone is a good idea.” Samuel said as he stood in front of three stood with Max.

“I just don’t want to get involved. What will she think once she finds out that her Prince Charming isn’t that charming at all? Imagine her seeing him with some cheap girl from the club… how does that make me look?” Max asked.

“It makes you look like a fool, no offense, but again switching off your phone makes you look like a chicken.” “I know how girls can behave, and his going to be a lucky man if she doesn’t skin him alive.” Samuel added as he spoke.

“So you think I should switch on my phone?” He asked.

“I don’t think, I know you should!” Samuel said as he tried to clarify just how important it was for him to switch on his phone.

“I hate this…” Max nagged as he got his phone and switched it on.

Following the shock that had covered both Maluba and Rose, once they finished watching their programme they left the living room and went to sleep.

It took a while for Bwalya to just leave town because the young lady demanded the he pays in advance.

“If you don’t pay me tapali ekondeya (am not going anywhere)” She said to him.

“Mwaiche (Young one) you think I can’t pay you? Boss tell mwebeniko uyu (tell her) she thinks ninebo kawayawaya (She things I don’t do anything).” Bwalya laughed.

“Sister naiwe, his going to pay you don’t worry.” The driver said.

“What! he hasn’t slept with me yet that’s why he can say that… pay me now otherwise am staying.” She demanded.

“Okay! how much?” He asked her.

“K100!” She said.

“What! who do you think you are? abanobe (Your friends) it’s K20 and here you are saying K100 ata! Boss let’s go she can remain.” Bwalya said as he opened the other door for her to get out.

“Okay K50…” She said as she held his hand and massaged his thigh.

“That K50 means you spending the night. Noti 04AM you on your feet ati (that) am going.” He said as he shut the door and gave her a K50.

The driver just laughed, this wasn’t his first time taking Bwalya home so he knew very well what the end result would be since he had observed him do such arrangements a lot.

By the time Bwalya reached home, Euince had already jumped into bed and was listening to music in the blanket.

“Shush! don’t make noise. People are sleeping.” Bwalya said in a whisper to the young lady he had come with.

“Okay naleka naimwe.” She responded.

Since Euince had earphone’s, she couldn’t get anything that was being said and had no idea that there was even someone at the door.

Bwalya opened the door and the room was dark, without switching on the lights he let the young girl in and with skill that was accompanied by silence, he closed the door because he didn’t want Maluba and Rose to be woken up by the noise.

The young girl immediately jumped on him and began to kiss him. With a little effort he began removing his trousers as he kept kissing him and sliding her hand down his body to reach for the gun.

As that was happening, Euince removed her headphones because she felt movements and legs brushing the bed covers which caused them to move.

She jumped and went direct to switch the light on and that’s when she saw him; the man of her dreams, the one she would day dream about and imagine having a family with. He was half naked with the young girl still sticking on him like a snail on the wall with one hand holding the gun.

She couldn’t think of anything, her mind was nothing but an empty space that pain and the desire to do anything was slowly filling up.

Bwalya was in shock, since he was drunk, his reasoning was slow by a second because just as he was about to mention her name, the young lady received a slap of salvation on the back.

Eunice began hitting the young lady and kicked her up… Bwalya just stood there looking lost. After beating her up and she was now screaming and shouting.

Euince went to the said of the bed and the first thing her eyes saw was a Pressing Iron – She got it and hit Bwalya on the face with it.

“Why are you standing there? Stop this crazy lady!” The young girl shouted.

“Euince stop that you embarrassing yourself! What you doing here?” He asked her.

“Embarrassing myself? You a**! just wait.” She exclaimed.

She went and got a container of water and began to pour both of them.

“What the hell is wrong with you!” The young lady shouted.

“You want to know what’s wrong with? Okay!” Eunice said as she picked up the pressing iron and began hitting the young lady, she got up, opened the door… instead of running outside she went to the TV room.

Maluba and Rose opened their door to check what was happening, Bwalya was hit on the face twice with the iron and as he ran, she three it at him.

“So this is what you have been doing! You get a ka job and you now think you something… Just wait! you haven’t seen madness.” Eunice shouted.

Once Rose saw the young lady, she ran to the room and began chasing her out. Maluba just stood on her door with her mouth open.

Euince came out of the room to follow Bwalya but the ladies help her and asked her to stop, there was blood on the floor – it was either Bwalya’s or the young lady because she was hit on the head a lot with the pressing iron.

She got Bwalya IPhone that was on the floor, threw it on the floor; at this point Rose and Maluba were just watching her. She got the pressing iron and from the pointed end… began hitting the phone till it was nothing but pieces, she dismantled it and crushed it, she then got a container of water and poured the water on all the parts.

“I always thought I was crazy… but this lady is about to burn this house down!” Maluba said in a whisper.

“Where the heck is Max?” Rose asked.

She went back in his room, began looking for the laptop she bought him. She found it in his bag, got it and went outside where he was.

Peter and Chongolo had just gotten outside when the found the young lady on the ground crying, Bwalya was holding his face with nothing but a stripped boxer on.

“So this is what you do! I send you money and you get these cheap for nothing hoes!” She shouted.

“I knew this was going to happen…” Chongolo said to her husband in a whisper.

“Have you called Max? what she doing with the laptop?” Peter asked.

Euince threw the laptop on the group and began jumping on it.

“Eunice there is my stuff in there…” Bwalya said.

She opened it and got a brick and began hitting it. She still had the water, so she poured it on the laptop.
