EPISODE 07.

 

 

Anna couldn’t find her voice as she kept staring at the demi god Infront of her..

It none other than Lucas Caine the Devil boss.. she’d seen him on TV and on magazine but haven’t seen him up close..

“Are you deaf also?” He husky voice snapped her outta whatever trance she was in..

She looked away and fixed her hair..

“I’m sorry for running into you, I was actually late for my date.” She tried to sound polite as possible but what happened next made her want strangle him..

 

“Wait! don’t tell me grandfather got a lackey as my blind date..” he smirked mockingly and it took everything in her not to slap sense into him..

“Yes I’m that lackey, can we go in now?” She clenched her fist tightly as she tried not to glare at him…

“Whatever.” He walked back into the booth with Anna tailing behind..

She glanced at his broad shoulders and couldn’t help but admire God’s creation..

Lucas Caine was a 7ft tall man with a look to die for, well not her..

She definitely won’t die for a narcissist such as himself..

He sat down across the table with his legs crossed and kept his eyes on the stranger..

Anna sat down while pretending to be confident but inwardly she was nervous as hell..

What if he saw through her looks and decided to just ki*ll her there? Would anybody be able to find her body?

A waiter walked into the booth and bowed respectively at them before taking their orders…

“Good evening I’ll be your waiter for night, your orders please?” He wore a brilliant smile on his face as he spoke…

Lucas nodded and glanced at the lady Infront of him..

“You should ask the lady what she wants.” His voice was very deep and carried alot of authority in it and Anna couldn’t help but wonder if his voice had always been this alluring..

“Oh I’ll have some French lentils with Dijon VINAIGRETTE.” She had always wanted to try a french cuisine..

“French lentils and Dijon vinaigrette coming right up! What about you sir?”

” Lamb chops with a cognac Dijon cream sauce . And also your signature dishes.” He ordered and all this while Anna didn’t take her eyes off him..

She wondered who he’d offended to be put in a situation like this.

“Stop drooling Miss. Ross or you’re gonna regret it.” He chuckled softly and Anna was quick to deny it..

“Me? Tsk! You wish! You’re so ugly I think I’m going to retch.” She rolled her eyes and scoffed quietly..

He was trying to remember where he’d seen her before when a certain money lover flashed in his memories..

‘oh she’s that crazy lady.’ he couldn’t understand how she ended up being his blind date and he would certainly look into it..

“Really? You think I’m ugly? Okay then you should get used to it because we’re gonna get married.” He smirked coldly, his handsome face gave nothing away as he stared at her…

Anna felt naked Infront of his eyes…

At some point she felt guilty for what she was about to do..

“Don’t get ahead of yourself I’m not gonna marry you.” Maybe he’s not all that bad.

She shouldn’t trick him like that..

“Well I we’re gonna get married..” he picked up his glass of red wine and took a few sips before dropping it back on the table…

The waiter returned with their orders and Anna decided to just let him be and focus on devouring the delicious dishe Infront of her…

“Cassoulet our signature dishe.” Waiter explained and placed the dishes on the table..

Annabelle didn’t care about her image Infront of Lucas and began eating immediately the waiter left…

Lucas could only stare at her in amusement and placed his head on his hand which was on the table..

He was baffled by the way she was eating like she’d been hungry for ages but what he didn’t know was that she was a big time foodie..

“You look hungry and Homeless..”
