CHAPTER SIX.

 

Lucas Caine stormed his grandfather’s villa in pure anger. He didn’t wait for his driver to turn off the ignition before stepping off the car immediately ignoring the servants and butler as he walked into the villa like the proud peacock he was.

 

Chairman Ming his grandfather heard all the commotion his grandson was making but sat down In the living room patiently waiting for that tyrant of a grandson to come to him.

Lucas walked towards his grandfather and a few documents on the glass coffee table.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing grandpa?” Lucas asked in-between gritted teeth.

“What does it look like I’m doing huh?” Chairman Ming snapped his fingers and a maid came rushing towards them with two cups of coffee.

“Sit down lad.” He unhurriedly took a cup of coffee and Lucas took the other before sitting down opposite his grandfather.

“I told you I wasn’t ready for any marriage drama, I don’t wanna be involved any lady so can you not seriously do this right now?” Lucas took a deep breath with his eyes closed trying not to explode from anger.

 

“I’m sorry son but I don’t think I can wait any longer, as you can see I’m not getting any younger and I would like to welcome my grandchildren into the world before kicking the bucket.” Chairman Ming dramatically tried to mess with him.

“Listen I would let you welcome your grandchildren when I’m ready okay ?” Lucas massaged his temple gently and took a sip of his coffee to calm down his migraines.

“Well then I would have to take away all your efforts on project X’ and probably give it to your dear aunt Catherine maybe that would be preferable for you.” Chairman Ming wasn’t ready to back down from a fight with his arrogant grandson.

 

Argh Lucas cursed inwardly and dropped the cup on the coffee table and turned to his grandfather.

“The blind date ,was that you too?” Lucas finally relented.

“Yes and I can also say you gonna be late for your date with my future daughter in law if you keep arguing with me.” Chairman Ming had a proud smirk plastered on his face.

“Wait don’t tell me I’m gonna get married to a strange lady after a first date? Really you gotta be shitting me.” Lucas was always Left speechless whenever his grandfather takes an extreme step such as this.

He couldn’t help but wondered how his grandfather thinks.

 

“Yes and I won’t be taking any chances Gray.” Chairman Ming flashed his victory smile at his grandson for he only called him Gray whenever he’s happy.

“Fine do whatever you want. I pretty sure she won’t wanna get married to a ice statue.” Lucas scoffed coldly and stood up unhurriedly.

He bowed slightly in respect before walking away.

“Drive.” He spoke he stepped into the limited edition Maybach and the driver immediately turned on the ignition and drove off to the five star restaurant he was having the blind date.

 

He arrived shortly at the restaurant his grandfather had booked for the blind date and walked towards the front door, the security man at the front door pulled opened the door immediately saw the rich young master approach.

 

Lucas walked into the restaurant proudly with his hands tucked into his pocket as he walked towards the private booth his grandfather booked.

To his surprise his blind date hasn’t arrived yet. He sat down and crossed his legs elegantly waiting for his drink.

He was pretty sure his date was either one of those pretty spoilt brat or a gold digger, which ever one it is he’s gonna think of a way through.

 

Anna walked towards the black rolls Royce parked right outside the yard with her mom and sister all over her with excitement.

Mrs Laura was beyond happy her hedgehog daughter decided to go for a blind date,

Something she dreads. They watched the rolls Royce drive away before walking back into their apartment happily.

 

Annabelle on the other hand was nervously chewing on her fingers as she reads the texts from an unknown number which contains list of instructions on what to do and what not to do when with Lucas Caine.

“What if he gets angry and decides to have my tongue cut off?” Anna mumbled to herself but shrugged off the Ill thoughts and focus on not trying to get him angry.

After what seem like forever the car pulled up Infront of a five star restaurant and Anna sucked in a breath as she stared at the beautifully decorated place.

Anna for a split second Admired the exterior of the restaurant and couldn’t help but wondered what the designer would look like.

“Good morning ma’am welcome to Just clicks.”the security personnel at the door sounds rather polite making Anna suspect he already knew about her coming.

 

She walked towards the receptionist desk and ask for the private booth Lucas Caine was in. After finding the booth number she sighed inwardly and walked towards the booth but unfortunately she bumped into someone immediately the door pulled opened.

 

“Are you blind?” He asked in a husky voice.

Anna raised her head to look at the stranger but was shocked to find out who it was.

 

“Uh oh.”
