 Chapter 19

Kadence finished getting dressed and then walked out of the room. She halted when she saw Eric standing by the door.

“Eric…” She muttered.

“Kadence” Eric smiled and walked to her.

Kadence looked away not knowing what to say and do right now. Things were like really awkward between them.

“I’m tired of you giving me space. I understand your decision and I’ll stick to it though it’ll be hard to get over you coz my feelings for you are really deep but I’ll try. Let’s continue from where we stopped.” Eric smiled.

Kadence smiled too.

“Sure!!” Kadence replied.

“So wanna go grab a bite?”Eric asked.

“Of course, I’ll meet you at the canteen. Let me first of all go and dispose off these wet clothes” Kadence replied.

Eric nodded and patted her hair before walking away. Kadence took the other way too.

Suddenly a shadow speedily passed beside her. Kadence looked around and could see nothing and no one.

She slowly continued walking but the shadow still passed beside her making her hair blow behind. She turned back but saw no one.

Kadence swallowed hard and looked front again to see…

The black cloaked demon was standing right in front of her. Kadence took a step back in fear.

The black cloaked demon was still standing there, looking at her. Suddenly, he launched at her.

Kadence threw what she was holding and blocked him with her arms though he was slowly overpowering her.

“Fight back. Never give up” Liam’s words rang in her head.

She looked up at the demon with determined eyes. Suddenly she ducked and tackled the demon who almost fell but vanished away and appeared far away from her.

The demon lifted his hands and black flames came out of it. He shot it at Kadence but she quickly dodged it.

“So he’s the demon everyone is talking about” Kadence thought.

He kept shooting his flames at her but she dodged everyone of it. Kadence looked up at him, breathing heavily…

Suddenly, the demon speedily launched at her, pinning her on the wall. Kadence breathed heavily trying to get out of his grip but it was impossible…

She looked down at his hand and could see some black tattoo like it is spiraling round his arm.

Kadence began coughing really hard as she was slowly out of breath. The demon slowly released his grip on her neck.

Kadence fell on the floor coughing really hard. The demon took a step away from Kadence and then vanished away.

“What was that?” Kadence muttered in shock.

She stood up looking round the area to see if the demon was truly gone before walking away.

Eric sat down at the canteen, pressing his phone while waiting for Kadence when suddenly, Zara came and sat down in front of her.

“Any problem?” Eric asked.

“Well….” Zara took in her lower lips.

She played with her thumbs before looking up at Eric.

“Eric, I really like really like you” Zara confessed.

Eric pinched his brows. He was already sick and tired of girls whom he don’t even love to confess to him. The funny thing is that the one he love doesn’t love him back.

“Listen Zara, I’m sorry and I don’t want to get your hopes to high but I don’t feel anything for you… We’re just friends” Eric spoke.

Zara felt like her heart was shattered in million pieces.

“Why? Do you find Kadence prettier than me?” Zara asked almost in tears.

“Zara, it’s not like that… You’re very beautiful and smart too but it’s not my fault that my heart choosed to beat for your sister besides Kadence doesn’t lo-”

“It’s okay. I’ve heard enough” Zara rushed out of the canteen in tears. People were all looking at her.

As she made to run out, she bumped into Kadence who was coming in. What followed was a hard glare…

“I hate you with all I have!” She spatted in tears and ran away.

“What happened to Zara?” Kadence asked as she sat down near Eric.

Eric sighed and explained things to her. Kadence suddenly felt bad.

“Poor Zara” Kadence said.

Lisa was busy listening to the music while dancing to the rhythm at the school garden when suddenly two arms held her waist.

The music which was playing was City girls by Chris Brown.

“Just follow my lead” Romeo whispered in her ear.

They began dancing to the music with Lisa doing some body rolls with break dance. Romeo held her waist and kissed her neck making Lisa to close her eyes.

Once the music was over, Lisa turned and faced Romeo who was still holding her waist.

“So is this a yes?” Romeo whispered.

Lisa smiled remembering about yesterday. They actually sneaked out to go to the club in order to drink.

Romeo drank too much so he got drunk and Lisa had to carry him home. That’s were he confessed to her drunkenly.

Lisa thought he was drunk but since morning he kept insisting and insisting. She even came there in order to run away from him but he still found her.

Lisa looked at him and then placed her hand on his chest then leaned closer to him till their lips were just inches apart.

“You don’t expect me to accept when you confessed to me drunkenly. I’m not that cheap..” Lisa said and smiled then patted his cheek before walking away.

Romeo looked at her walking…

“Playing hard to get huh? That makes me love you more” He thought.

Zara sat down at a bench, crying her eyes out, sniffing too…

“Heartbreak…That’s one of the things I hate most in this life.” Reina said and sat down beside her.

“It’s all her fault… All Kadence’s fault! I hate her! Why must she take all what I have.” Zara cried out.

“Let’s make her pay for what she has done to you” Reina said.

Zara cried and then wiped off her tears looking up in determination.

“You’re right, let’s make her pay! I’m ready to join you!” Zara said in pure rage.

“That’s great!, follow me let us go and meet our Master” Reina said and transformed to her demon form….
