“Focus Kadence, tomorrow we’re writing the test and you have to pass” Emma said to Kadence who was distracted with who knows what.

“But it’s not my fault that I don’t understand a single thing you’re saying” Kadence pouted and placed her head on the table.

“Just try okay?” Emma said and looked back at the book she was holding them began explaining things to her.

Kadence tried her utmost best to be attentive…

They studied for around three hours before leaving the library.

“So where shall we go before Reaching home?” Kadence asked.

“Let’s go to the amusement park” Emma held her hand and they walked away.

Diamond High, 01:40pm**

Eric walked out of the bathroom in his hostel while drying his hair. He was just bsck from training and honestly Sir Travis is one hell of a tough guy.

His mind went to the pretty girl he saw on his way while coming here. He smiled as he remembered her smile, her eyes, her pretty face.

“Hope we meet again” He thought and brought out another clothes then wore it. It was lunch time and his roommates already left for lunch.

Eric walked out of the room and closed the door behind him before heading to the canteen.

Canteen**

The canteen was lousy as the student were all eating while chatting happily both human and supernatural.

Eric walked in the canteen and as usual all eyes turned to him as the girls drool over him.

“Hey Eric, over here!” Gideon waved at him. He walked up to them then sat down.

“We bought your meal” Romeo said while munching on his plate of pasta.

“Thanks guys” He dipped in and began eating too.

At another table Sophia, Nora, and Connor were seated eating while discussing. Lisa was with the boys.

“Slow down Sophia, the food won’t get finished” Connor chuckled.

“What? I’m hungry, the training drained out my breakfast” Sophia pouted.

Nora wasn’t even with them, she was busy staring at Eric. Sophia noticed her staring.

“Hey Connor. What’s up with Nora staring at Eric?” She whispered.

“Well she’s bewitched. Let me say she has a huge crush on Eric, so much that she can’t hear us speaking about her” Connor said looking at Nora.

Sophia chuckled…

*Look, it’s Ava and Jody
*Oh my, they’re so hot!
* Be mine please

The boys all drooled as two girls with arrogant looking faces cat walked in the canteen.

Their dresses were extra short and quite revealing plus the makeup on their faces madr them look like dolls. Nevertheless, they were quite pretty!

The one with blonde hairs looked at Connor’s direction. She bit her lips sexily and winked at Connor which took Connor by surprise.

They walked all the way to the front line and paid their meal before walking and then sitting down at an empty table.

Sophia looked at Connor and then back at the blonde girl, her name is Ava. Sophia frowned deeply while looking at Ava.

Well Ava and Sophia are like fire and ice, cats and dogs. They hate each other really much. Not a week passes by that they haven’t fought.

Ava ate her food gallantly, aware of the gazes she had on her.

Let me introduce to you Ava Wilson. She’s the eye candy of all the men and could easily get one just with a snap of a finger. Powers:- Earth bender. Age 18.

Her best friend, the one sitting with Ava is Jody Bells. Very pretty too and we can say she’s good in $eduction. Powers:- Mind control. Age 18.

Ava turned again and looked at Connor then smiled.

“Girl, what’s wrong with you and that guy” Jody asked stirring her drink with her straw.

“I think he’s cute, super cute” Ava smiled…

“You want him” Jody smiled

“Yeah” Ava replied and faced her food.

“I can control his mind and make him fall for you” Jody said.

“No, I’ll handle that by myself. Don’t help me” Ava replied.

“Suit yourself” Jody sipped on her drink.

“Who’s that girl?” Connor asked, feeling uncomfortable with the look he was giving her.

“Ava. Don’t be deceived with her sweet smile. She’s the devil’s advocate” Sophia said.

Sophia stuffed her mouth with food and ate it angrily. She froze when she felt Connor touch her mouth.

“Stop eating like a pig. You gat sauce all over your lips” Connor cleaned it with a tissue.

“Here.” He handed it to her and brought out his phone and earpiece as he began listening to music.

Sophia looked at him then smiled.

“Thanks.” She drank her water…

“Look your crush is here” Romeo mocked Gideon.

“Stop that” He said as his eyes never left Jody.

“Seriously bro. I don’t know what you see in her” Romeo said looking at Jody in disgust.

“She’s pretty” Gideon smiled.

“So, she’s a devil in disguise” Romeo said.

“No, she’s just like that because of Ava. I’m sure I can change her” Gideon defended Jody.

“Tough luck on that!” Romeo sipped on his drink.

“Where’s that damn princess?” Lisa asked.

“You mean Kaitlyn? Well you don’t expect a princess and also the last hope of mankind to be eating with us” Gideon said.

“So? She’s also like us and to me everyone is equal” Eric scoffed.

Lisa frowned as she noticed someone sitting all alone on his side with his head down like he was sleeping.

“Who’s that guy?” Lisa pointed at him.

“Oh, it’s Liam. He’s always alone” Romeo answered.

“Poor thing, he has no friends” Eric said.

“Come on let’s leave and do something useful with our life already.” Lisa stood up and began walking away.

The rest stood up and walked out of the canteen.

“Let’s leave too” Connor said.

“Okay” Sophia replied and smiled.

“Could you stop smiling when you see me?” Connor said.

“Why?” Sophia pouted, confused…

“You won’t understand” He held her hand as they walked out of the canteen.

Sophia looked at their hands and smiled. Her hand looks tiny compared to his.

Ava looked at them till they left the canteen. She smirked.

“Another challenge huh Sophia? Don’t worry, I’ll win like I always do” She thought.

Amusement park, 02:17pm**

“Yay!!!!” Emma screamed as they rode on the roller coaster.

“Ahhhhhhh!!!!! Mummmmmyy!!!!” Kadence screamed in fear while holding tight onto Emma.

“Make it stop!!!!” She almost cried.

“You forced me to climb in and now you’re scared?” Emma teased her.

It continued like that for around 4 minutes before it stopped. Kadence got down and ran to a nearby bush to puke.

Emma laughed while watching her. She bought a bottled water and handed it to Kadence once she was done.

“I’m never climbing this thing again!!” Kadence said breathing heavily.

“Let’s get going. You have to finish your work earlier then rest early. Tomorrow we’re going to Diamond High to write our entrance exam” Emma said.

Kadence nodded and they began walking back home.

“Oh f*vk! I forgot to buy some tomatoes for my mom. She’ll ki*ll me if I go back home empty handed. Bye, see you tomorrow K-d” Emma waved and ran away.

Kadence looked at her running away.

“Guess I’ll go back home alone” She shrugged and began walking thinking of how she met Emma.

It was on a faithful day when they were around 10. Kadence was crying her eyes out because a boy bullied her but Emma came and beat up the boy. From that day, she was the only friend Kadence had till date and from that day Kadence vowed to protect Emma…

Her thoughts were cut short when she bumped into something hard. She looked up to see it was a man.

A gasp escaped her lips when she saw it was the same man from the restaurant of her mother. The man who asked her for s*x.

“We meet again hottie. Last time you were really disrespectful towards me and I didn’t like that. Yunno I like you right?” He smirked.

Kadence turned to run away but he caught her by the arm and closed her mouth the discreetly pulled her to a secluded area.

“Please let me go” Kadence said once he removed his hands from her mouth.

The man placed one hand on the wall leaning towards Kadence. He used his finger to trace a straight line from her chest to her tummy.

“Don’t worry, I’ll pay you afterwards” He smirked.

Kadence pushed him away and made to run but he caught her hand and pinned I harshly on the wall.

“Let me go. Help!!” Kadence screamed at the verge of tears.

He leaned closer towards her making Kadence to look sideways. As his lips was about to meet with Kadence neck…

A strong wind blew. So strong that I pushed the man away from Kadence. Kadence also fell as the result. She hit her head hard on the ground then passed out…

The man groaned and stood up. His eyes widened when he saw someone standing in front of him. A black cloak covered the whole body even the face.

“Who are you? You wanna have a taste of her too, don’t worry I can share her with you” The man smiled.

The being with the black cloak looked at the old man and black smoke began emanating from the person.

“What the-”

Before he could finish his word, the black cloaked being raised the hand to the old man.

“Ahhhhhhhh” He screamed in agony as dark flames burnt him to ashes.

The black cloaked being turned and faced an unconscious Kadence. The person stared at her for a while before vanishing away.

Diamond High, 03:16pm**

Kaitlyn walked out of her bathroom with a towel wrapped round her body.

Thankfully the school accepted to give her her own room so she shares it with no one. To her, the others are like pests.

She rubbed her oil and then put on a black jeans with white top. She walked out of her room, heading outside to get some fresh air.

Kaitlyn was slowly walking along the hall. Her room was situated in a calm area and that’s what she likes in it…

She stopped and stared at a picture hung on a wall. It was the picture of the late queen, her mother.

“Miss you so much mom” She smiled and touched the portrait.

Cold chills ran through her spine, that even made her shiver. She turned and was surprised to see someone standing behind him.

It was the black cloaked being. No one could tell if it was a girl or a boy…

“Who are you?” Kaitlyn asked, something was off with the person.

Suddenly, the person launched at her. She swiftly dodged it with a confused look on her face.

“Who are you?” Kaitlyn asked and stood, ready to fight.

The person threw punches at Kaitlyn but she dodged it. She was having hard time to follow up with his moves…

She threw her leg up, aiming to kick the person on the face but her leg slashed through air.

“Where did it go?” She wondered.

As she made to turn back, she received a kick that sent her crashing on the wall. Kaitlyn groaned in pains as she fell down.

Kaitlyn looked up at the person while holding her waist.

The Black cloaked being generated a ball of black flames in his hands. Kaitlyn’s eyes grew in horror…

“Hey!!” A voice said.

They both looked to the right to see some guards there. They began running to them…

The person disappeared, the same way he came…

The guards helped Kaitlyn up.

“Your highness are you okay?” A guard asked.

Kaitlyn still held that look of bewilderment on her face.

“A demon… That’s a demon… A demon invaded the school” She mumbled in shock.
