Chapter 6

“Your majesty, you can’t get in!” The woman shouted but it was too late. He’s already inside and staring at Lun.

“Why don’t you want me to see her. He’s okay and all dressed but you still don’t want me to see him?” Wulfgur snapped with anger in his eyes.

Why’s this woman keeping him away from seeing his mate? Lun is his mate for heaven’s sake even if he’s a boy. He cares about him as far as he’s Mena from the past.

“N…nothing My Lord. You can see him now.” The woman bowed, so relieved that the King didn’t suspect anything. “I will take my leave.” She added and struggled with the door for it to open. Her hands trembling.

She finally went out and Wulfgur faced Lun.
“Are you okay? Does it still hurt?” He asked the boy.

Lun shook her head, her eyes staring down at the floor. Even if she wishes to stare more at the King’s hazel eyes.
As if the King knows what she was thinking, he said, “Look at me boy, tell me the truth, does it still hurt?” He asked again.

Lun looked at the King’s eyes and shook her head again.
“No, your Majesty. It doesn’t. You should take care of your wound too. You’re bleeding.” Lun answered, worried about the King also.

For him to have received two silver bullets, he really needs so much attention but looking at him right now, he cares more about her than himself.

She’s truly the King’s mate. The King knew too and that’s why he has always been protecting and caring for her.

And wait! The King didn’t really mind if he’s a boy? He still wants to do everything for her. What will happen if he finds out that the real Lun is a girl.

“Why worry about me when you’re just a mere human who received a bullet that is meant for me.”

“But silver is really dangerous to wolves and also lycans sometimes.”

“Yeah, to lycans sometimes but me, I’m more than a lycan. You know that.” Wulfgur told her and stretched his hand to her cloth.
“Let’s me look at your wound.” He said as he tried to remove the cloth from her body.

‘Holy Mercy!’ Lun exclaimed within herself.

He mustn’t know. He can’t just know like that.
In a fast motion, Lun grabbed the king’s hand, stopping him from checking the wound.
“Why did you hold my hand?” Wulfgur narrowed his brows at her. He glanced at the hand she held but didn’t remove his hand from hers.

Lun thought Wulfgur would remove his hand and punish him for doing that hut he seems to have gone soft the moment she held his hand.

“I…I’m sorry, my King. Please, forgive me for doing this. I’m so sorry.” She apologized quickly now leaving his hand.

Wulfgur cleared his throat and nodded. “It’s okay. The fact that you didn’t allow me to see or touch your wound, I’m very suspicious of something.” He told her, licking his lips.

Lun gulped and looked away. “I’m not keeping any secrets, Your Majesty. Please, believe me. I’m not a spy and I can’t betray you. Please, don’t be suspicious of me.” She rushed her words as if she had something hot in her mouth.

Wulfgur watched the boy properly and blinked. He’s strange. Is Lun keeping something from him? Does he know they are mates? Did he remember him from the past?

“Why didn’t you allow me to see your wound?”

“I..I..just don’t want you to see. It scary. You shouldn’t see it.”

“Aren’t we the only male here? Anyway, I will leave you for some time. When it is evening, you’re taking a bath with me.” Wulfgur announced and Lun’s heart almost jumped out.

What?! A bath with the King? She’s a female for heaven’s sake. Fück! The King didn’t even know this.

“A bath you say, Your Majesty? I don’t think so. I don’t want to have a bath with this woun…..”

“It’s a medicinal bath. It going to help you heal your wound faster. I will tell the maids to prepare the bath for both of us. I’m expecting you.” He stated and walked towards the door.

He looked at Lun again seeing her shaking her head. His mate looked troubled.
Well, he was quite surprised today that he didn’t feel any damn pain when he got near Lun today.

“I can see you don’t want to take a bath with me. I know you’re scared and afraid because of what others will say. By the way, I was just joking. I will get the maids to get separate medicinal water for a bath. The both of us. You’re staying here till the war is over.” The King spoke and left the room.

Lun breathed out. She had been holding her breath for some seconds now.
