CHAPTER 75

Kyle’s p.o.v

It was only this morning that I had found out where the b@stard that râped my girl was.

Yeah, maxwell was the man, and that confused me more than anything.

I know maxwell more than anyone.

We used to be good friends back in middle school, until of course, he did something to mess up our friendship.

Sure, he was bad news.

But I know that he would never rápe a girl unless he was severely drunk.

Maybe he was drunk, or maybe he wasn’t.

But either way, he was still the one responsible for this situation.

Right now, it was night time.

10:00 at night, maybe?

The guys decided to crash at my place, they were all downstairs, sprawled out on the floors, considering they were too lazy to go upstairs and crash in one of the guest rooms.

Kiara and I live in a pretty big house. Actually, this was my family’s house in California.

They owned a few houses in different states, same with kiara’s family.

I knocked on kiara room door.

She is yet to come out of her room.

I don’t know if she has been sleeping these few days or just willingly laying there.

But, whatever it is, it isn’t healthy.

When I realized she wouldn’t open the door, I barged in myself, closing it behind me.

She was sleeping…well, she looked like it.

The duvet was coveting the bottom of her face, so only her closed eyes were visible.

Her arms were wrapped around the blanket like it was the most dear thing to her.

Her body seemed as if she lost a lot of weight, which she probably did, because she hasn’t been eating much.

I placed the tray of foods on the nightstand, before I climbed on top of the bed next to her, sitting up against the headboard.

“Kiara,” my hand touched her waist.

“Baby, wake up. ” I leaned over to her, one of my arms next to her head and another in front of her stomach, as I peered to see her face.

“Wake up, kiara. ” I whispered.

Her lips moved, and she crunched her nose up when my breath hit her face.

Her eyes slowly fluttered open, and she moved her head up towards me.

“Good morning. ” she mumbled, sleepily.

I chuckled.

“It’s ten at night, love”

She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, rubbing her eyes with one hand.

“Ten at night?” She cocked her head like a lost puppy.

“Really?” She asked.

“Really.” I replied.

I kissed her Lips from the same position I was in.

“You wanna sit up or lay there like a lazy pup all day, huh?” I smiled, pecking her nose.

She giggled, shaking her head ‘no’ indicating that she wasn’t getting up.

“Are you sure?” She nodded.

That way, I only had one last thing to do in order to get this girl up and healthy.

I placed both of my index fingers on the sides of her tummy, making her gasp.

I poked them in, then let all my fingers dance around on top of her stomach.

Her soft, quiet giggle grew into a loud, melodious one.

And soon enough, she was sitting up and trying to push me away.

“S…stop!” She squealed.

I haven’t seen her this happy for almost a week now.

And a week seemed like forever to me.

“Kyle, stop!”

As soon as I let go, she grabbed my face and planted her lips on mine, then pulled away immediately.

It may have been just a peck, but it did so much to me.

I grasped her smaller than usual waist, and pulled her onto my lap.

“Hey, kiara?” I stared, smiling as I couldn’t help but stare at her sleepy eyes.

“Yeah, Kyle.”

“You have to eat.” I finally blurted out.

Her smile turned into a frown, as her head fell on my chest.

I wrapped my arms around her kissing the top of her head.

“You know, what you are doing to your body isn’t healthy. I k ow you don’t want to, but you have to try babe. If not for you, then for me. What do you think I would do if I had to lose someone who meant the whole world to me?”

Kiara shrugged,

“Am I really your whole world?” She asked quietly.

I snickered,

“No. You are more than my world. You are my stars, my moon, my sun, my heart, My air. And as cliche as everything sounds right now, it’s true. You mean everything beyond everything to me. I love you. And if you were to think I could live without you, then god, you are the biggest liar in the world. ”

“I love you too.” She squeaked, her voice cracking.

“Where did you learn how to be cocky from?”

I laughed.

“Maybe it’s a side effect from what you put me through.” I responded.

She looked up at me, curiosity plastered on her face.

“What’s that?” She questioned.

“Love.” I simply stated.

She crawled her hands up to my face and ducked my head down to kiss her, which I gladly did.

“Now,” I started as I pulled away.

“Are you going to eat or not?”

She didn’t respond, but looked down, instead.

“For me?”

I sighed, thinking she still wouldn’t budge.

That is, until she lifted up and asked me,

“What kind of food did you make?”

I smiled, getting the tray from the side table, as she wiggled off of me.

I sat in front of her.

I picked a piece of parmsean chicken Alfredo from the meals, and motioned for her to open her mouth.

“You didn’t make this!” She creased her brows, while chewing.

“It’s too good.”

I scoffed dramatically.

“Are you saying that I can’t make good food?” I placed a hand over my heart in mock hurt.

“Yes” she giggled.

“You did not make this.”

“I did too, baby girl.” I argued back.

“Nuh..uh”

“Yah..huh!”

“Liar.” She narrowed her eyes.

I leaned in and pecked her cheek.

“I know I’m a bad cook. But, I learned this just for you.”

Her lips curled up into a smile.

She crawled onto my lap, and smashed her lips on mine once again.

And I smiled.

Because, everything with her was always perfect.

“I love you.”

“I love you too.” She said back.

This is the girl I have been waiting for all my life.

The one girl I thought I would never find.

The one girl who gave me the one thing I never believed in.

That thing I thought was a joke: love.

This is the girl, and the only girl, I am going to marry one day.
