Kathy p.o.v

People were back about three hours ago.
“Khalid went out since then he has not been back.”
I was inside since then staring outside the window. “Before Khalid left he told me not to go outside and never to talk to anyone.”
And I badly wanna go outside.

Everywhere just look so magical, I can hardly believe what I saw.
“The place looks like all those fairy tales they do talk about in books and movies.”
How I wished I could go outside and explore every where.

“I sat up on the bed and stare at my surroundings, my surroundings are different and even the way they built the house is different and how come I don’t notice that.”
Maybe I was too carried away.
The house was built with gold, because the wall look so smooth and you can quickly tell that they used gold to build it.

I saw an rat crawling towards me and I screamed.
“I am always afraid if insect and any animals expect dog and cat.”
Why are you screaming, it’s not that am going to bite you or something I was asked to entertain you. “The rat said.”

I stopped screaming when I heard this and turn to it’s direction do you just talked? “I said to it.”
Yes, why do you asked?
Oh, is it because I talked? We animals do talk and it is normal likewise insect also.
“Kathy, don’t let us scream and stay calm.” I said to myself.

So, what do you mean by saying you are here to entertain me. “I said after taking a deep breath and with the little courage I have.”
Well, I can be your talking partner.. we can both talk to each other and know a lot about ourselves.

“Tsh.” I scoffed. We should know each other, like I should get to know this rat more? Me talking to rat.. this is a dream right? What do I want to know in a rat.
Well, I don’t need you entertainment or what do you call it? I don’t need your talk.. you are excuse. “I said bowing my head to where it is but realized the rat wasn’t there any more.

“Looking for me?.”
I smiled nervously. “So you are here huh at the window.”
Yes, since you said you don’t need me have got to go to my abode.

“Ok.” I shrugged. You can continue your journey back home.
I was about to leave the window when I turned back and ask the rat to stay.

Jake p.o.v.
When Aunty Kayla was back, she bought the things we needed.
“A cloth, a mask that would cover our faces even though they used magic on it.”
We made use of our magic on the mask because some of the people at the palace are very powerful.

We where all putting on black and the black mask on our faces with the sword we are going to use as a protective tool.
Aunty Kayla thought us some Martial skills I was surprised when she hold one of the swords and show us how to use it.
“Actually, Derek knew how to fight already so aunty Kayla was teaching me.”

I have no idea that she can fight.
She thought us some Martial skills I was able to learn faster for being a beginner.
“Well, she thought me some self defense but I have no idea she can fight like this, using a sword to fight.”
Derek, was a good fighter.. he knew well how to fight.

Are you guys ready? “Aunty Kayla said with Hannah.”
“Yes.” Derek and I both said at once.
The girls were asked to stay indoors and not to come out.
They both nodded their head in obedience and said yes.

Now, Jake you ready? “Derek asked.”
Yes! “I said immediately.” Thanks to Hannah who thought me how to create a portal.
I took a deep breath and try to let go of my thoughts and feel my power’s.

I closed my eyes and imagine my self creating the portal and when I open my eyes it was done but not wide enough for us to go through it.
Jake, you’ve got to try harder.

I move my already hand that was pointing forward, I move it to create the portal more wide.. it took me some times to be able to do that and I smiled.
Derek way the first that went through it next was aunty Kayla and next Aunt Hannah and I was the last.

Kathy p.o.v
So do you have a name? “I asked the rat.”
Nope.
“Why?.” I asked surprised. I don’t just have..we not have names but if we use some one we prefer them giving us names
So our parents don’t name us.
“So, what about your parents?.” They are died.

What killed them?
Some of miquels guard killed them and eat them. “What the hell!, I can remember mum telling me that they don’t ki*ll and eat animals here.”
Are you a she or a he? “I asked the rat.”
A she. “It’s says.” So smart.. I’m giving you the name smart and wonder.
So… The miquel know that?
“Yes.”

This kingdom is turning to something else.
Am so so sorry about that smart.
“She laughed.” Why are you laughing?
I just like my new name. “She said covering her face.”
Don’t tell me this rat is blushing or what? “I whisper and laughed really hard.”

Smart can you tell more about people here?
“Yes, sure.” I smiled at smart I love her.. she is one of a beautiful rat and smart in her words, everything she said.. from her voice you can see that she is one of a smart rat.

I looked at my surroundings and take the small cloth I found behind me laid it on the bed and ask smart to sit on it while I listen to how the people here are.
