Emerald

I sat in the classroom with tears

” What the hell is wrong with you emerald? ” Wendy asked

“It’s obviously because of Keith, what did he say to you?” Reyna asked

I ignored the both of them and carried my bag

“where are you going? ”

“I’m going home, I’m not feeling well ” I said

“But school is not yet over ” Reyna half yelled

I walked out of the school

I don’t know why I’m like this too

“Where are you going? ” I heard Kelvin’s voice

“Hi ” I faked a smile

“That smile is fake” he said and moved closer to me

” I didn’t see Keith in school, where is he? ” I asked and he arched his brow

“Keith Is not in school? ” he asked and i nod

“Then where is he? He left home early this morning ” he said

“Did he get in trouble? Where could he be? Did something bad happened to him? ” I asked with concern

“I’m sure he is fine, he is not a baby ” Kelvin smirked

“How can we be sure of that? Keith doesn’t know how to fight, what if some people like jack are with him? What will happen to my Keith ” I said and turned to leave but Kelvin grab my hand

“Is Keith the only one you care about? ” he asked and I looked at him like I didn’t get what he was saying

“What do you mean? You also care about him ” I gulped

“That’s right, I care about him but that doesn’t make me ignore other people around me ” he yelled at me

“Why are you like this all of a sudden? My Keith is……… ” I paused and he scoffed

“Your Keith? You are really a fool, despite all those words he said to you, you are still calling him yours ” he said and I stared at the ground

“Can’t you for once, call me yours too ” he said and I sighed

“Kelvin, I heard Love changes, but my love won’t change, I will be with Keith and he is the only one i will call mine” I said and he slowly released my hand

“I’m sorry” I said and walked back to school embarrassingly

What have I done?

I walked to the rooftop and saw Wendy sitting and starring at a picture

“Who is that? ” I asked and she quickly hide it behind her

“Nothing ” she said but wasn’t looking at me

“Isn’t that Bryan’s picture? ” I asked and she quickly covered my mouth

I didn’t see it, I only guessed

“Do you like Bryan? ” I asked and she sighed

“What’s the point, he is crushing on Selena ” she said and I smiled

“But you should let him know about how you feel, you can’t just keep quiet ” I said

“Whatever. You are in no position to give advice right now ” She said

“I know right? I feel like I was betrayed ” I said as tears gathered in my eyes

“Hey! Why is everything about you so sad? One minute you smile the next second you are crying ” she shook her head

The door to the rooftop opened and many students rushed in

“What’s going on? ” I asked

“Emerald! ” Reyna yelled my name and ran to me

“What are we going to do? I heard jack is going to throw Keith down the rooftop” she said panting heavily

“where is Keith?” I asked

“I don’t know ”

I sat in a bar when my phone beeped

‘Come to the rooftop now or I’m going to throw emerald down the rooftop ‘

I ran to school and went straight to the rooftop

There were so many students there

“Check out who we have here” Jack said and everyone turned their attention to me

“what do you think you are doing right now? ” I asked angrily and he smirked

“What? Are you angry? I thought you do not love your ex ” he chuckled and emerald ran in

“Keith, where were you” she asked and ran to me

“Are you okay? ” I asked and she nod

“Too bad, she’s not going to be okay in some minutes ” jack said and I moved closer to him

“Are you pulling a prank on me right now? Do you want to die ” I asked really angry

I didn’t know i would be so angry too

“are you going to ki*ll me? Are you sure you can do it? ” he asked and laughed sarcastically

He looked at his boys and they dragged Emerald to the edge of the rooftop

“Too bad, your ex girlfriend is going to suffer for your sins ” he smirked and I looked at emerald

She was already shivering

“Let go of Emerald right now! ” I yelled

“Why should I do that? Then are you going to pay for your sins instead ” he asked

” I would love to ” I said and punched him on the face

“Wow! ” the students chorused

I moved to him and grab him by the collar of his clothes

“I believe I told you that if you lay your fingers on emerald, I’m going to ki*ll you ” I said and kicked him making him to fall

“Wow, so Keith can fight ” a girl said

I looked around and saw everyone with their phones

I moved closer to jack and grab his hair

“I will not ki*ll you because the students are recording, Be prepared next time ” I said and he grinned

“Before you ki*ll me, I will ki*ll your ex girlfriend first ” he said and I turned

They were about to push emerald

“Emerald! ” Reyna yelled and drag her down as she fought those boys, I ran to emerald

“Emerald, are you okay? ” I asked but she was shivering

“Keith ”

“Yes, I’m here ” I said and held her hand

“I’m not okay ” she said and burst into tears and I hugged her

“I’m sorry, it’s all my fault, I’m really sorry ” I said and she hit me on the chest

“Where were you before when I needed you the most you fool” she said with tears

“I’m sorry, I’m with you now, I won’t leave you again, I promise ” I said and she fainted in my arms
