Chapter 48

FREDRICK

Everyone gathered on the dinning table after a long time.

“I don’t have tissues in my body as much as the issues in my life.” Ronald groaned out of blue.

“Learn to face the problems instead of backing of. You know it makes one strong. Everyone get problems in their lives some back off and some fight and the one who fights is the real hero.” My mother said smiling.

“But mother, how can you face the problem when your face is the problem?” Mivheal added.

Aaron choked on his tea while I controlled my laughter.

Samantha burst into laughter.

Ronald glared at all of them.

“Why are you all disturbing my bestie? What happened rolly?”
Ivy came from the kitchen, twitching her nose.

I raised a brow at her and she avoided my gaze.

Wow!

Just wow!

“I got cancer of last stage!” Ronald said making faces.

“Ahh” ivy slapped his arm.

“Atleast once in your life be truthful Ronald!” Michael said winking.

“Enough Now” Ivy glared at them as they laughed lunatics.

“We were just talking. It is bestie who started whinning like a baby first.” Aaron said.

“Ignore them rolly. Just eat your food.” She patted Ronald’s head lovingly and he smiled digging into his breakfast.

“please today make desert for lunch.it been a while I ate that ” Michael said.

“But I don’t know how how to make it.”

“It is okay, I will help You” Samantha smiled and I nodded.

“I want a woman who will make desert for me after spending 3 hours in the kitchen and serve me but if I say I don’t like it instead of arguing she smiles and run towards the kitchen for making another food” Michael said grazing at the ceiling.

“Yeah and come back with poison instead of food” Ronald said and everyone burst into laughter leaving Michael dumbstruck.

After a long time I was smiling.

“Alright Ronald, Michael, Aaron meet me at the warehouse by 12.” I wiped my face and stood up.

“I want to meet the minister.” I said sternly stopping my jeep in front of a huge banglow.

” Who are You? The minister doesn’t meet with anybody.” The security man said

“Tell him Frederick is here” I said casually blowing at my shades and then putting them back.

“Frederick? Are you…… I am sorry sir. I was just doing my duty. I will go and inform him sir.” The security man pleaded as soon as realization hit him.

There was only one Frederick in the whole city who can have such guts.

I nodded and the security man ran in.

After sometime I was sitting across the minister on a lavish sofa whistling while my one leg was resting on the other and was moving in air.

” What do you want?” The minister said bitterly.

“Oh dear minister, don’t be so rude or else you know what I can do. Actually I am still having the footage of that hit me room in which you were….”

“Okay, okay. I am sorry!!” The minister quickly cut me off joining his palms in air looking here and there.

” How may I help You?” The Minister asked more like pleading.

“I liked that” I jumped and sat straight.

“Well, all you have to do is to free the officers of sun town police Station. I want them as my team for sometime. Sign here!!” I said casually and then went back to my previous position after throwing a pile of paper in front of the minister.

” Why? You have alot of men”

“Minister …. Do you remember the name of that reporter who make scandals? Aha what was her name?” I said grazing my nice grown little beard.

“Okay okay, I am signing.”

Within thirty seconds, the minister signed on the papers sweating.

“Good”

I took the papers and went out before the minister could say anything.

I smiled devilishly looking at the words,

“Permission Granted”.

” How did you get this?” Micheal and Ronald yelled looking at the signed papers shockingly.

“I got this because I know that all these ministers and reputated people fear camera more than a bullet.” I smiled victoriously.

“Ouchhh!!!!” They shouted, understanding me.

“Make the jeep ready. We are going some where.” I said and Aaron went out.

After sometime, our jeep stopped in front of the police station and we jumped out.

” Well this seems like cultural club more than a police station.” I said stepping in looking at the one who was pressing clothes.

Some of them were playing cards, While other officers were eating sweets.

As soon as their eyes landed on me they all stood up and straightened their uniforms.

“Inspector Samuel, Where are you dear? I asked in a dramatic tone.

A man who should be in his mid 50s came standing in front of me.

“Oh how are You?” I asked

” I am fine but I won’t be fine for so long as you are here.” The inspector said and murmured the last part.

“Did you say something?” I raised my brow.

“No sir. Tell me what can we do for You?” He faked a smile.

“First clean all this mess. I want to see
the Police station as what it is not like a cultural club.” I said sternly.

” okay sir. As you say sir”

“Come guys let us have a tour of this police station.” I whistled and aaron, Michael and Ronald went behind me.

“Last time when he came I got high blood pressure now that he is back I am sure I will get cancer.” Inspector samuel whispered.

“What sir?” One of the counstable came by his side.

“Nothing. Clean all this. Didn’t you hear what he said?” Inspector samuel punched the counstable and went in.

” Why did he hit me?” The counstable whispered rubbing his cheek.

FREDRICK

“I want everyone of you in the conference room after two minutes.” I said and went towards the conference room.

After two minutes conference the room was filled with numerous officers.

I stood in front of a white screen and a projector.

” Are we going to watch a movie?” One of the officer asked excitedly.

“Yeah dear” I said smiling.

” A drama is showing already, any other drama will mean more problem.” Inspector samuel murmured.

“Did you say something inspector Samuel?” I yelled.

“No sir”

“Let’s begin with the movie then.”

With that said I pressed a button on my laptop and  a video started on the white screen.

All eyes were stick to the screen.

” what will i Do? My child. My child.” A lady was crying with a child of around 5_6 years in her lap.

” Why will my child die when we paid all the expenses? Why couldn’t the doctor save him?”

A man in mid 40s came beside her and she started wailing while crying.

The man was in a police uniform.

Looking at the face of the man all the officers stiffened.

” The medicine which they gave him were fake.” The Policeman in the video started crying too looking at his dead child.

“And the worst part of this, is that we can’t do anything against them cause this hospital belongs to a wealthy bussinessman.”

I pressed the button on the laptop and the screen went white as before.

“Now the question is how many of you know about this?”

Everyone hung their heads low .

“I asked something!!” I slammed my fist on the table and one by one everyone raised their hands.

“Great!!” I said sarcastically.

“But sir we can’t do anything. When we got to know about this we wanted to rip the head off of that bussiness and that government officer who granted him permission.” One of them said sadly.

” Yes sir!!”

“Yes sir!!”

One by one all them shouted.

“What do you want next? What if you guys are free from every upward pressure of your CI and DIG will you guys punch them?” I asked

” Yes sir!!” Again the conference room burst with screams.

“But we can do all this in a dream. There is no way we can do anything on our own. We will be suspended if we do.”

In reply of this I signalled Michael and Ronald and they started putting papers in front of each one of them.

“Check them out” I shouted and all of them look at the papers.

Moments passed and many whispers started voilating the silence.

” Permission Granted? Means we can do anything we want for 3 days? Without any pressure?” One of them asked.

” Yes! That id!ot minister didn’t even know what he was signing at. Anyways you guys will work like a team. A frustrated team who wants to get its frustration out by taking those devils to the stage of death. No one will control you. You will be your boss yourself. We are starting a new operation, a special operation in which you will work as dark seekers!” I declared and everyone of them stood up clapping.

“So we will continue our mission from tomorrow. Now!! You all are dismissed!!” I said and they all saluted.

IVY

It was twelve at night but Frederick was still not at home.

I was waiting for him while pacing around.

“Where the hell did this man go to?” I frowned stomping my feet on the floor.

I went to his room and the scent of his perfume hit my nostrils.

“Hmm” I moaned inhailng his scent.

I sat on the bed hugging his pillow thinking about him and didn’t know when sleep engulfed me.

FREDERICK

I came back home at two in the morning and went towards my room directly.

The only thing I wanted to do was to sleep because today was the most tiring day I have ever had.

When I entered my room, I forgot to breath when my eyes landed on the beauty sleeping on my bed hugging my pillow.

” How come she is here?” I murmured and went near her.

“She must have been waiting for me” I shoke my head looking at her slippers on.

I went towards the washroom and came back after changing.

“Hey, Go and sleep in your room.” I said lightly jerking her shoulder.

“Hummm!!!” She frowned in her sleep.

“Ivy, go to your room” I said softly.

“No!!” She said sternly in sleep while yanking my hand and again hugged my pillow and went back to her deep slumber.

I shoke my head unbelievably and took my slippers off.

I was not the type of sleeping on the couch so I went to other side of bed.

“Fine. Don’t accuse me in the morning because I won’t waste my night for you.” I said glaring at her and pulled the sheets over myself.

I emembered that she wasn’t even having sheets and the night was cold.

I opened my eyes and glanced at her who was hugging pillow tightly as if her life depends on it curling up in a ball.

” Idiot” I murmured and pulled the sheets over us as closed my eyes.

Soon sleep engulfed me in its embrace.

So officially we slept first time on the same bed after all this time of our marriage.
