“I don’t understand what’s going on, can someone explain better? ” Kelvin said with tears but dad just adjusted his suit and walked outside while mom walked to the room

Kelvin stood up and went after dad while I followed but he was already gone before we got there

“I have to go ” He said and wanted to enter the car but I grab his hand

“Kelvin ” I called and he looked at me

He scoffed and jerk my hand away

“You must be so happy because of what dad said, but even if what he said is true that I’m not his son then what’s the difference between us? ” He smirked and moved closer to me

“You are just an adopted child, at least there is still a difference ” when he said that, a cold spine ran through my chin and i couldn’t say anything

“You do not know who your parents are, I’m still different from you, if I don’t have a father at least I have a mother, you……….” he paused and grinned

“You are a just a mere orphan hiding under the name of someone else’s parent” he said angrily, entered the car and drove off

“Orphan? ” I asked myself and sniffed back my tears

My phone beeped and i saw a text from emerald

‘Let’s have our first date when you are less busy ‘

I sighed and text OK back to her

I’m still wondering if what dad said was true

“What will you order?” Emerald asked as we walked to a restaurant

“Our first date will be in a restaurant? ” I asked and she nod

“Yeah, why? You don’t want a restaurant? ” she asked and i shook my head

We sat down and she placed our order
“Keith, what’s wrong? You don’t look too happy? ” she asked

“I’m fine” I faked a smile and looked at her lips , it’s the first time seeing her use lipstick

“What’s with you? I have never seen you using lipstick before ” I said

“it’s our first date, I have to look good ” she smiled

“Since we are girlfriend and boyfriend now, we should share our secrets ” she said and leaned forward to the table

“My secret is that, i was the one who gave you the bandana when we were in elementary school not Chloe ” she said and I smiled

“I know it was you ”

“What? How? When? ” she asked with surprise

“From the first day i saw you ” I said and she leaned backward

“and you pretended like you know nothing, you are strange ” she said

“So what’s your secret? ” she asked but I just kept quiet and looked elsewhere

“I bet people like you don’t have secrets, you are from a rich home anyway ”

“No, I don’t have any secret ” I said and she smiled

Emerald, I’m lying, I have many secrets that I want to keep so that you won’t be hurt

I’m just an adopted child who is suffering from eye problem

I don’t want you to know this so please don’t ask me anymore

“What are you thinking of? ” she asked bringing me to my real sef

“Nothing ” I said and dipped my hands to my pocket to take my phone but it was gone

“Have you seen my phone? ” I asked and she shook her head

I checked my bag too but it wasn’t there

“can you keep an eye on my bag? I have look for my phone, I will be back” I said and walked out of the restaurant

I walked to my mom’s room but she didn’t even look at me when I entered

“Just tell me all Wat dad said Is not true” I said but she said nothing

“Why aren’t you saying anything? ” I yelled at her

“It’s true, the rich man is not your father ” she said and my jaw dropped

“What? ”

“The truth is that, I killed Keith’s mom ” she said and i stood with shock

Flashback………….

“Dianna, you Can’t leave with my son ” Harry said as they both dragged Kelvin

“I can’t hold it anymore, you are too poor, I can’t let Kelvin grow up in a poor home, I will go and marry the CEO of Mendler company” Dianna said and Harry released Kelvin

“You think the CEO will marry you with a 7 year old ” harry yelled

“of course, he will because he loves me ” Dianna yelled back and dragged her box outside holding Kelvin

7 years old Kelvin was only crying but couldn’t say anything

“The CEO is married and the wife just gave birth to a boy, he is going to be the heir to the company” Dianna informant said and she handed him a bottle of poison

I stumbled back because I couldn’t believe my ears

“What? ”

“But I was 7 years old, why didn’t I remember anything ” I panted with anger
“you lost your memory ” she said and I clenched my fist

“Mom, you are wicked, you killed Keith’s mother and now you are trying to ki*ll him ” I yelled then we heard the sound of a glass shattered on the floor

We looked back and saw Keith, his hand was shocking as tears rolled down his cheek

“Keith ” I called wondering if he heard everything

“I heard everything ” he said with tears and walked out

“Keith ” I called after him

“You knew the story don’t you? ” he asked with tears

“I don’t ” I shook my head and he grab the collar of my cloth

“Your mom killed my real mother, I won’t let it slide ” he yelled and wept

I checked my wristwatch again

I’m still in the restaurant waiting for him

I took his bag when his phone started ringing

“Why is he looking for his phone when it’s here? ” I asked myself and opened his bag

I saw a beautiful diary and i brought it out

“Should I open this diary? ” I asked and hesitated before opening it.

I couldn’t believe what I was reading

“I thought you had no secret, why did you lie? ” I asked as tears dripped from my eyes
