He suddenly started to laugh

“You are going to ki*ll that person? ” he asked and laughed sarcastically then he moved his mouth closer to my ear and whispered this

“I will look forward to it, find out who the person is and see if you can ki*ll him/her” he moved back and put his head in his pocket

“I wasted my time talking to you, I’m sorry but I’ve something more important to do ” he was about to leave when Dad car drove in

He came down from the car and walked up to us

“I thought you are going for a business trip to New York ” Kelvin asked and he looked at the both of us then he looked at all the guards and told them to leave

“Kelvin, I’m going to ask you this directly so answer me, After i did my investigation, I noticed that the person who tried to ki*ll Keith is also after the Company ” he said and Kelvin smirked

“Are you saying, I’m the one who tried to ki*ll him? ”

“Who knows, it may be you but I’m sure you won’t stoop so low to do something like that, now tell me who is the person? ” Dad asked and he smirked again

“this has nothing to do with me, why can’t you find out who the person is and stop suspecting me ” he glared at dad

” I know you have a connection with the person”

I just stood watching the both of them, I don’t even know what to say

Kelvin walked inside the house and I looked at dad

“Dad, aren’t you to harsh on Kelvin? ” I asked

“No, if I’m not harsh on him, he won’t speak up ”

“Let’s find another way, Kelvin seems so close to the person and he is afraid to reveal it ” I said and he walked back to his car

“I missed my flight to New York, I have to go back to the company ” he entered and the car drove out

Emerald

“Emerald , food is ready ” mom called from the dining and i stood up from the bed

Hey
I’m might be feeling down but that doesn’t make me skip my meals

“What’s wrong my daughter? ” mom asked as she served the food

“What of dad? ” I asked

“He lost his present job, he went for another interview ”

I sighed and took the spoon

“you don’t look so well, did something happened between you and Son-in-law? ” she asked

“he is not calling? Could he be busy? ” I asked mom and I could see her looking at me suspiciously

“Whenever I call him son-in-law, you are always losing your temper and yelling at me but today is different ” she said and I started to cough

“Are you guys dating?” she asked out of curiosity but I continue eating

“It seems like you guys are dating? ”

To avoid her questions, I suddenly started to cry

“Mom, why is the food so salty? ” I asked and cried like a baby

“What? The food is not salty to me ” she said and tasted it

“it’s so salty, I’m mad at you for making such a salty food ” I stood up with tears

Inside me i was laughing

“Oh, sorry, I won’t make it salty next time ” she said but I walked to my room

“Goodness, that spoilt brat ” she yelled

I walked back to the room and laid on the bed then the door bell started to ring

“Who is there? ” I asked and walked back to open the door

Mom was no more there

I was stunned to see Wendy, Bryan and Reyna at the door

I gasped with excitement

“What are you guys doing here? ” I asked as they entered

“We miss both you and Keith, we tried to go to Keith’s house but his house seems so impossible to enter ” Reyna said

We walked to my room and they sat on the bed

“there were so many guards, even though we told them we are Keith’s friends they refused to allow us in ” Wendy said

“What do you expect, he is from a rich family ” I said

“Wait a minute, isn’t this Keith’s shirt ? ” Bryan asked and I saw him holding a shirt

It was then I remembered that the shirt Keith was putting on the day we ran away was with me

I collected it to wash the blood stain

I ran to Bryan and collected it

“What do you mean by Keith’s shirt? This……this……. ” I stammered thinking of a lie

“This is for my dad ” I said and they all said suspiciously

“This shirt is too small for your dad ” Reyna said

“Then it’s mine ” I coughed and put it in my closet

“Thanks for coming, now i will appreciate if you guys can leave ” I said and started pushing them out one after the other

“Bye ” I slammed the door on them and my phone started to ring

I smiled when I saw that the caller was Keith

“Hey ” I said as i picked up

“I’m sorry but I don’t think we can see each other today, I’m busy ” I said and my face turned to a disappointment look
“You are busy?” I asked then I looked up and saw him sitting on my window

“Hey ” I screamed happily and he entered and hugged me

“I miss you ” he whispered in my ear and i disengaged the hug

“What of you being doing all day? ” I asked

“I want to catch that person who tried to ki*ll us ” he said

“Why are you the one doing it, you should inform the police ”

“I can do it myself, don’t worry about me ” he said and I hit him on the chest

“Why can’t i worry about you” I said a little bit annoyed and he pecked me

“Happy? ”

“No, do it again ” I said and he pulled me by my waist to himself and kissed me on the lips

“Emerald where……….”

That was my mom

Keith suddenly released me and covered his face

“I’m sorry for ruining such an important moment, please forgive me ” mom said and winked at me as I gulped

She closed the door and walked out and I looked at Keith

He looked slightly embarrassed

“well, my mom is always like that ” I said and he nod

“I have to go ” he said and jumped out through the window

Keith

“Young master, where did you go? ” the guard that drove me asked and I shot him a glare

“Don’t tell anyone i went somewhere, just keep your mouth shut ” I said and he bowed

I came down from the car and went inside when I saw Kelvin in the living room

I ignored him and was about to go upstairs but he stopped me

“Where were you? ” he asked

“why are you so curious? Are you afraid that I might catch the culprit ” I said with my arms folded and he smiled

” who cares if you catch the culprit or not ” he stood up and moved more closer

” I told you not to start a game you won’t end ” he glared
“Just give up Kelvin, because I love emerald ” I said and he punched me on the face which made me to fall on the floor

Kelvin punch is not a joke

“You look really upset, are you mad at me or are you mad at yourself? ” I asked and he squat before me and held the collar of my clothe

We glared at each other and he was about to punch me

“Young master ” Lugard yelled and pushed him away from me then we looked up and saw dad and mom

“Look like you are going to ki*ll each other ” Dad grinned

“Dad, I need to teach some sense into Keith, he is a spoilt brat who have no respect ” Kelvin yelled

Dad moved to him and was about to slap him when Mom held his hand

We looked at the both of them with shock

“Let go of my hand ” Dad said

“Why? Why are you trying to hit Kelvin alone? He is your son too ” mom yelled and he pushed her away

“Son? ” he smirked

“Woman, should i tell him the truth? ” dad asked out of anger and mom glared at him

“Should I tell him the truth that he is not my son but a bas***d ” dad yelled

Kelvin and i looked at mom but she couldn’t say anything, I could see her feet shaking

“What do you mean dad? ” i asked

“Kelvin is not my Real son” he repeated and tears gathered in Kelvin’s eyes
