“Emerald ” I heard someone calling and tapping me

“Emerald ” I heard it again

I opened my eyes and saw myself laying on the bench outside Keith’s ward

“Emerald, what are you doing here? ” Kelvin asked and I sat up

“So that was a dream? ” I asked myself

“What dream? ” Kelvin asked as he sat beside me

“Where is Keith? ” I asked him

“He is sleeping, we need to treat his insanity first” Kelvin said and I gasped

“he is really insane? ” I asked and Kelvin looked at me confused

“Why are you still asking? I told you yesterday ” he said and I stood up

I held the knob of his ward door and was about to open it when I remembered the dream
“What’s wrong? ” Kelvin asked and i looked at him

“I had a dream, in that dream, Keith stabbed me ” I said and he sighed

“That was a dream, Keith can’t stab you ” He said and I nod

“Don’t go inside, Right now, his situation is worst and he can harm anyone ” he said and I leaned on the wall

“Has he really gone crazy?” I asked trying to prevent myself from crying

“Don’t worry, we are going to transfer him to a psychiatric hospital and in some days, he will be back to normal ” Kelvin said and I opened the door a little bit

“Don’t you think there’s something i can do ?” I asked

“Ugh? Like what? ”

“I mean, instead of taking him to a psychiatric hospital, we can make him better together ” I said and looked at Kelvin

“How? I mean, I’m a doctor but I can’t treat crazy people ” he said

“That’s why we are not going to use the medical method ” I said and he arched his brow

I opened the door and tiptoed inside so that Keith won’t wake up

I turned and made signal for Kelvin to come inside too

“Now, what are we supposed to do? ” he asked

“Can you wake him up ” I whispered to him and Kelvin’s eyes widened

“What? You want me to wake him up? ” he asked with shock and I nod

“Don’t worry, if anything tries to happen, I will take responsibility ” I said and he sighed

“I’m trusting you on this” he said as he moved close to Keith

“Keith ” he called and Keith opened his eyes immediately

“He is awake ” Kelvin whispered and I could feel my heart beating fast

I closed my eyes and when I opened it

I saw Keith scattering the room

“What are we going to do now? ” Kelvin asked as i could see he was scared

My hand started to shake

And my head went blank

I watched as Keith continued scattering everywhere

“Emerald, do something! ” Kelvin yelled at me as he tried to hold Keith

I closed my eyes and began to sing

Kelvin laid him on the bed and covered him with the blanket

“Thank you ” he said and I looked at him

“For what? ”

“For making my younger brother sane again, I didn’t know music could help” he said and I smiled

“it’s okay, I’m so happy too ” I said and we both walked outside

“I will go home now since he is ok ” I said and stopped a cab

The next day, I bought chicken and beer and I went to the hospital after school

I opened the door and saw him sitting on the hospital bed scratching his hair

“Why are you scratching your hair like that? ” I asked as i dropped the chicken and beer on the table

“I haven’t wash my hair for 3 days, it’s itchy ” he said and I looked at him with disgust

“Gross, your hair must be so dirty ” I said and he continued scratching

“Come with me, I will wash it for you ” I said and stood up

“I can’t stand up myself ” he said and I sighed

I went to him and helped him stand on his feet

“Thanks ” he said as we were both coming back from the restroom

I just finished washing his hair

We sat on a bench outside the hospital

“Thanks for making me sane again ” he said as i dried his hair with the towel

“it wasn’t a big deal, you should thank your brother too ” I said and he looked at me

“but I still don’t know why you became sane because of song” I added

“Because it’s you ” he said and I looked at him confused

“Because the song came from your mouth” he said and we stared at each other like forever

I was already feeling uncomfortable cause his eyes can you make you go crazy

I coughed and wanted to stand up but he held me back

He closed his eyes and placed his head on my shoulder

“What are you doing? ” I asked

“I’m feeling sleepy ”

“Then sleep inside ” I said and he covered my mouth

“You talk a lot, just let me sleep like this ” he said and I smiled

“How could you let that happen, have you lost your mind ” I yelled at him

“It’s because of that young lady called emerald ” he said and I arched my brow

“She shouldn’t be a problem ” I said and sat down
